It's 12,000 crowns. Someone in my guild went to the house while recording on their computer and then went to the video frame by frame to find the price. It does show it when you port there for a very brief second before hiding it.

At the prices they ask for houses I doubt I'll ever buy any of them. They're far too expensive for a digital item in my opinion. For the price they're asking I could buy two or three other good games off of Steam or Xbox. I enjoy ESO and I love MMORPG housing but I have my limits.

TBH the grotto is a waste. They should have just put the ship in game as a medium house and players would have been happier.

I dont understand why people are voting for 18k this house is not worth that its not even worth 15k its all vertical and shipwrecks are in the way of everything you cant built anything of significance 12k is what im thinking

Agreed. Don't get me wrong; it's beautiful. And I actually can think of a lot of really cool things you could do with that space. But there's no way I'd pay more than 12K for it...if I decide to purchase it at all. TBH the only limited run houses I've liked enough to want to purchase were Grand Topal, Tel Galen, and the Coven Cottage, and I missed all three of them (I work a lot, travel a lot for work, and therefore don't get to play as much as I'd like to). The others just seem way overpriced for what they are. Like others have said, if there were more furnishing slots so you could really go to town with making these spaces really special, I'd maybe understand it. But good lord. If it's more than 12K as the screenshot above indicates, I'll just content myself to preview it once in a while to enjoy all the pretties.

It's not that it's worth that much, it's just what we think ZOS will charge. They tend to charge several k higher than what something is worth.

I won't be buying this, I originally wanted it because I was kindof blown away after experiencing it in the pts but I am now against the unethical and immoral behaviour of the marketing team's FOMO schemes so I won't support it. It's a shame because this house could've been amazing, but looking at it again and considering the slots and the design of it, its not that great and it makes me feel better I won't be supporting this.

I'm currently debating whether or not to purchase the Grotto. The main boat is very well done, and I think quite highly of it. That said, coral surrounding the boat is of very low quality graphically speaking, in first person view certain parts of the stone in the ruins is pixelated, most of the giant pieces of ivy are floating (though that can be fixed by the player), and the interior stairs in the upper boat fragment barely work. In short, there are a lot of issues to overlook if they expect us to pay that price tag. The design quality is not equivalent to Princely Dawnlight Palace or the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary.

Edit: I think what frustrates me the most is that I pour hundreds of dollars into ESO every month, and I have no faith that they will fix any of these issues once the home has been released and people have bought it. For $100+ I should be able to expect and receive an exceptional product.

I think you all already know that a lot of the Crown store items have been crappy recently in terms of artwork and implementation of said artwork in game. Which is the reason why I will never buy a house.
