Jewelry crafting writs doesn't give inspiration. Bug or intended?

This is my level of jewelry crafting before completing daily writ:

This is how much inspiration I've got for completing the writ:

But my jewelry crafting stayed on the same level, I haven't got any XP for this skill line after I completed the writ, it's still on 29810/70960...
Is this a bug or it should be like this...?

    That can't be right. I've gotten upgrades to the skill line from turning in writs. Something's derped up here. Maybe specifically the tier 3 ones don't return rewards?

    the whole system is a crock of ***. Maybe next patch they will fix it and bring it inline with everything else.

    Which ones are you turning in? I know my characters finishing tier 1 writs are getting inspiration. I'm not sure about my character doing tier 2, though.

    Which ones are you turning in? I know my characters finishing tier 1 writs are getting inspiration. I'm not sure about my character doing tier 2, though.

    I do crafting only on this one character, so tier 3.

    I thought maybe it's just a visual UI bug so I reloaded UI, relogged etc but XP bar didn't move at all.
    It sucks cause the only reason why I'm doing daily writs is to get inspiration from them... :confused:

    @ZOS_GinaBruno can your team check if it's bugged please? So I won't bother with doing writs until it get fixed.

    I just tested it on a Tier 2 writ and I didn't get any inspiration, despite the quest saying I should get 6000.

    I submitted a bug report.

    There were bug reports of this from the PTS. Apparently higher level writs (past tier 1) give enchanting inspiration. I put in a bug report also after verifying that it was bugged on my crafter on live.

    Enchanting? That's interesting. Unfortunately I'm not able to check it because this character have already enchanting on level 50...

    Okay, so it's also broken on other tiers.

    It is bugged. My writ showed 2,000 inspiration today, but the jewelry crafting experience bar didn’t move at all.

    It's bugged, known for long time, there were threads here last week already. Just apparently having a thread in the bug forum does not mean it gets looked at it, but hopefully the more people report in ingame as bug, ZOS might eventually will fix it (although makes me wonder why is the bug forum here if it's largely ignored...)

    I do not get inspiration on my character above the first level of materials either. I have read from another player that he only gained inspiration from writs in that first level.

    I would expect it is not intended since part of the reason for writs is inspiration.

    There are a number of threads on this bug. I'm avoiding levelling up my JC skill until they fix it, so it'll just be pewter writs for me now.

    I keep putting in a bug report everyday after I finish the writ. Maybe someday someone will check the bug report inbox.

    After being advised by a friend yesterday, I tested this today as well, and confirmed the problem with my main who is at L38 of jewelry crafting skill (PC/NA). Submitted /bug 180602-003269.

    Definitely a bug, otherwise it wouldn't show the inspiration points as loot after the quest, except maybe ZoS is trolling intentionally there...

    It's a bug. They know about it, but haven't fixed or addressed it.

    I believe you get the inspiration for level one pewter stuff, but every level of jewelry after that goes to like enchanting instead or something if memory serves.

    It used to work though at the beginning, I remember leveling once after completing a daily quest.

    @ZOS_GinaBruno why there was no fix for this issue in today's patch?

    It's been 2 weeks since Summerset was released, and we still can't progress jewelry crafting through daily writs.
