Oh well, I guess that's the end of it. Did a final 16 rounds of it today. Got a lot of lockpicks but not much else.

had anywhere from 7-13 closed in 6 rounds of 3 peeps farming. I managed to get a green alinor 12 times out of those.

Wow - they didn't just nerf it. They took it out back, shot it and burned the corpse. Even the nightstands and urns scattered before the "wardrobe room" were empty.

I finally bought the Blueprint: Alinor Bed, Full Overhang yesterday, for a ridiculous high price (125k) on EU PC yesterday. TTC only listed 3 blueprints globaly, of which only one was available after all. I figured out, that the price won't drop anytime soon after the nerf and that my vault farming days are over. So, imho the market isn't really flooded, at least for rare patterns.

So what's the damage? I'm on PS4, so right now there are the 2 urns near the entrance, the 2 nightstands down the stairs, 1 urn near the incinerator, 1 urn on the bridge, 2 nightstands in the wolf room, 66 wardrobes in the main room, and 2 urns in the side room.

The way I understand it, they are all still there, although most can't be interacted with anymore? How many have been made un-interactable?

Yeah, almost all of them are already opened after the patch so you cannot loot them.
Not worth it to farm it anymore.

I guess ZOS decided that not enough ppl are buying crown furnishings... Well of course, housing paywalls (crown-only houses, a huge amount of crown-only furniture, 100k gold per one achivement furnishing, etc) make housing less than accessible for average player.

Even less than that, I logged in and only 5 wardrobes (or so) were lootable, the rest of them were already opened.

I would have never bought crown store furniture before. Now I'm DEFINITELY not going to, after all the shady stuff they've pulled. And speaking of paywall bottlenecks, culanda lacquer. Need I say more?

True.
Culanda requirement already limits the amount of stuff you can craft, there's no need to limit the recipe supply.
I can afford housing, but I've been playing for years, I can do writs on many chars etc and it's still pretty damn expensive. For new and/or casual players it's very difficult to afford. And turning those players away from housing feature is not a smart decision.
After all, not everyone is willing to buy a house AND everything in it for real money, it's kinda ridiculous to expect that considering the crown prices.

I noticed the nerf of the closets but I didn't quit trying to loot them and I have been rewarded for my persistence with a couple of green and blue Alinor recipes. Obviously it's nothing like it was before but I was getting obsessed with looting the closets on all my characters twice a day and it was getting nauseatingly boring. I want to be out in the sunshine playing my game not looting closets and killing skellies over and over, so OCD. A variety of productive looting places would be good not just the one place. That way I could park each one of my characters at different locations and cycle through them. I'm happy for the memories and shall miss the abundance of treasure but at least the place isn't overrun by vandals leaving their graffiti everywhere:P

Not even close.

We talk about 66 wardrobes, and basically never where all filled. So talking about 5 to 10 in function would be appropriate.

Not to mention that in other similar dungeons wardrobes have never been filled and therefore lootable containers aren't exactly abundant. And if I remember correctly, they said the drop rates are nerfed on top of that.

It's like they thought, "You know, people were really mad when they were having to pay 6-700k for Vvardenfell plans, but look how happy they were when we added them to the writ voucher lotto! So, when Summerset drops, let's make all these new patterns drop like candy.... but bottleneck the actual crafting process behind a mat (Culanda lacquer) wall, so they will still be hard to make. Then, after a while, we'll limit access to the plans (nerf wardrobes), but make it way easier to get the reagents! Then, when everybody is pulling their hair out over being jerked around, we'll be selling all these pieces in the Crown Store and hitting them with Alinor furniture packs, and they'll be so happy the madness is over and they can just BUY the pieces with out all the headaches! Yes! The perfect plan!"
