The Crystal Tower has a lot of urns. You need the quest to access it, I believe. I found a purple blueprint and a blue one from those urns today.

My goal is to help with putting out the housing furnishings out in the streets in order to help reduce the price massively asap so that we don't have to pay 20k per furnishing nor 100k plus for a recipe, and so that they don't stay as rare as vvardenfell's furnishings did for months. inside the traitors vault in arteaum, there is a circle of 20 wardrobes around the area I highlighted loot them all for a chance at furnishings.

It seems to me that the Summerset plans are dropping much more frequently than the Vvardenfell ones did, and the prices reflect that. The bottleneck is still with the Culanda lacquers.... as long as those things are as rare as they are now, prices for the furnishings themselves will remain high.

BTW, I counted the wardrobes in that room tonight, and there are actually 60. Bring lots of empty bags if you are set to autoloot, as the items from them are 99% zero value armor, and lockpicks. I got stacks of lockpicks! The Psijics must have been quite the thieving bunch back in the day!

I found an Alinor Wine Rack recipe from a random backpack out in the wild, and an Alinor recipe for some sort of stone display window thing, from a chest by the foot of a bed in the cathedral at Shimmerene.

Inb4 ZoS nerfs their drop rate next patch. Can't be having fun exploring and looting now!

Culanda Lacquer will always be a prob for selling crafted furniture. As of now, there are many peeps around to farm sapiarch motif pages but let their price drop to 2000 a page and combine the circumstance with lots of people wanting to sell the furniture (lowering the amount of lacquer available on the market). Where did you believe the furniture prices would go? They'll stay at 10k and more; maybe you'll even have to farm the lacquer yourself if you want to make some profit. And that's what furniture crafters earn. You first run for the blueprints, you then run constantly for the mats plus you fill your slots in your guild stores.

The cooldown in MW btw only affected motif pages.

Just curios, but did anyone drop anything from murder-pocket mode? (1x pocket then murder)

No, I have been doing this for at least 140 green+ items a day and have not gotten a single motif or recipe from a person. I focus nobles and low % targets usually bc I've heard they have a higher chance, although I don't know if thats true. However, going through the 4 Alinor locked homes has netted me 2 purple non-dlc recipes, and 2 blue alinor recipes. I got 1 blue alinor recipe and a ton of random greens from the location mentioned in this thread after 4 runs.

The Illumination Academy has a large amount of nightstands, wardrobes and urns inside, pretty much all over the place. And best of all, they are unowned, so you can loot them freely, and the area is accessible even after the quest has been done.

They are owned before you start Quest - just fyi.

I've double picked and killed at least 1k Summerset NPCs and gotten 2 blue scrimshaw JC plans (both from sailors.... logical, since scrimshaw is maritime art), and one blue Alinor plan, and a couple green Alinor plans. No purples whatsoever. (I did get an Imperial motif book off a sailor on the docks, so that was nice!)

Incidentally, in Morrowind, the highest value purples I got were from servants, pilgrims, outlaws, and other non-nobles. The only benefit I've seen in robbing nobles is that the fence treasures are of higher quality. And also incidentally, I've gotten WAY more good new plans from containers with this DLC than the last. I think they may be trying to steer the cash flow away from professional thieves from the get-go this time.

Done 40+ runs of the wardrobes in traitors vault and so far only got 1 green Alinor recipe - rest has been lockpicks, white armour, style materials and green provisioning recipies

@Jaraal I was going to post the same! Yes the Shimmerene Monastery you come accross as part of “The Queen’s Decree” main quest, has plenty of wardrobes. I also found new SS green recipes here, i belive It was the new building materials one the “Alinor walls” or something of the sort. Be sure to thank Razumdar for “making” us go in to check the Monastery!

I was on a noob alt and was looking through the guild rosters for someone in Traitor's Vault to Port to so I could farm wardrobes, and I noticed someone in the Crystal Tower. So I ported to them, and zoned into a weird place with a pink sky, and suddenly I was joined by a high elf caster and a fighter, with the little quest member chevron over their heads. I started walking over to some urns, in stealth, and these two were crouched behind me, following my every move. I explained my situation in guild chat, and they laughed and told me I had just ported into the end of the story. Told me I should dip if I didn't want to spoil it for myself. But I looked around, there must have been a couple hundred urns around, so I looted them all first, snagged a few good plans and recipes, then ported out.

I think but don't 100% remember for sure, the Direnni Acropolis is where there's a ton of urns.... I'm pretty sure it's there.

I lied. It was Cey-tarn. Refectory cellar... And it only works while doing the quest... So, that sucks....

give it a month maybe two before this location is "adjusted" and 90% of the wardrobes are always empty, like they did with other containers people farmed alot :(

I tried the wardrobe floor many times, but it seems the area was nerfed. About half of them are always empty, and the rest have lockpicks, style materials, and random armor. Sometimes I got jewelry, but now that is also nerfed. I got one purple pattern (dark elf rug), but every time I revisited got more and more junk.

Same with the Monastery in Shimerene. Chances are better to find this stuff in the world. I found most of the Alinor plans in random furniture in Alinor or Shimerene. The furniture around the Divine Prosecution NPCs in Alinor has good chance to give Alinor furnishing blueprints. I got 3-4 from those containers. I think that some containers have better loot than others.

I did two rounds around the delve wardrobes yesterday, and got 4-5 white furniture patterns (one of which was new for my main), 1-2 greens, and a purple. RNG, yay?

Along with, yes, lots of lockpicks & style materials (honestly, I don't mind the style mats - every one of those I pick up is 15 gold I don't spend when doing daily writs.)

I highly suggest a “pick - pick - stab” method for pickpocketing. That way you get 3 chances to pick each npc’s pocket. I havent brought my thief over to Summerset yet because she has a high bounty (trying to get the skooma bubbler print, yes its still available!) but im gonna be paying off her bounty soon and taking her over to explore, steal and kill! If you guys like farming things and dont have a dedicated thief character built, DO IT! I make LOTS of gold that way. I wear thieving armor that reduced detection radius and reduces the cost of sprint and sneak, Plus I have a wonky cp setup that no fighting character could work with. Specifically built to a thiefs needs!

Who told u it got nerfed ? U see that in any patch notes anywhere ? No you didnt . Did zos send u a private special email to tell you this ? No they didn't.

It hasnt been nerfed i just pulled a 200k purp from the wardrobe room in the delve and then a 50k blue from the same room on an alt

I would agree with this. I used to find 1-2 Alinor recipes a day, but now I am getting mostly lockpicks and style stones. I still get the odd green/blue food/drink recipe and blue motif, but little more than trash for 3+ days now. The best items from the past few days have been a few 1.5k blue furniture recipes I already knew, but not a single Alinor. Something definitely changed for me - such a shame... :disappointed:
