what happens when i enable no, thank you and login it makes the mail notification sound every second and i can see in the chat window my notifications are climbing and it gets to well above 1500 within just a couple seconds, with what i am assuming are error messages from the mod but i cant really tell because my framerate tanks from 100 fps to a 7 fps unplayable slideshow and even navigating the menus is unbearable. all i did on that mod was disable the marketing announcements

it was working fine for me until i had to install a patch the other day. now it breaks my game into an unplayable state. but if i disable the addon everything goes back to normal. i did nothing at all with my computer since then, so common sense tells me its an issue with the game

i'm just wondering if its happening to anyone else? im on windows 8.1 if it makes any difference. i could capture a video of this with nvidia shadowplay if anyone cares to see what this is actually doing. its absolutely ridiculous but i would like to think this is just a total coincidence and maybe just maybe its something wrong with my pc setup, rather than zos purposely going out of their way to block off this addon because they want to shove advertisements in our face for things we arent interested in at a last ditch effort to try to haul in the cheddar.

whatever i guess. do we got an ETA on the fix for this nuisance spam? i remember there was a house up for sale on the crown store for 1 crown and boy was ZoS quick to fix that. But when it comes to something that doesnt affect their bottom dollar but pisses off just about everybody else, we cant even get an estimate as to when we can expect to not have this crap shoved in our face all the time. i dont know about you guys but that kind of stuff doesnt really inspire me to mosey on over to the crown store and spend my money.

if the commercial at least only targeted users without those benefits that could be considered OK, but as ESO Plus member already owning the senche and a bunch of other stuff it's just not relevant for me to see.

Please remove it, or make it pop only for those who it is relevant for, or make it pop only once a day regardless what character you log in with.

I had the same thing they have done a work around on the comments section of NoThankYou on esoui.com - which sorts it out

I used to buy crown crates, but since Summerset dropped I can't close the nag screen fast enough. The only stuff I'm aware of that's new is what I have to look at on the launcher while it's launching.

updating the libnotifications seemed to do it for me, thanks.

i was almost willing to play the game at 7 fps with weird notification sounds looping every second rather than deal with another nuisance ad for a bunch of crap i'm not going to buy.

this kind of filth belongs in a "free to play" game on android, right next to candy crush and all the rest of those games designed for your 10 year old daughter who has no concept of the value of money to go and drain daddies bank account while he is at work. i wouldnt expect to find these kind of antics in a game ive paid full price to buy, as well as bought all the DLC and paid for subscriptions. gtfo.

ZOS is a business. They need to make money. One clicky upon login about Crown Store offerings isn't game breaking. Chances are you click about 100x more than this in one Stamblade rotation.

not every time I log onto a character, and for some that will be 30 or more changes in 2 short sessions as they do writs & collect the hireling mail, then later collecting the 2nd round of mail.

This is a AAA game not a f2p piece of shovelware but atm it is looking more like that shovelware & the longer it goes on the fewer are going to want to see this or put money into it

Wow, the "it doesn't bug me, you suck" crowd is so self centered it's unreal. We all like what we like and we're bothered by what bothers us. All logical explanations that follow are just people trying to justify what they involuntarily feel. A subjective involuntary opinion is neither good nor bad. It simply is. If you're not bothered, you got lucky on this one. Nothing more.

There's enough of us that aren't so lucky that they should pay attention. Even the "it's just one click" group isn't going through the slide show. If they want people to look, it doesn't appear that this is the way to do it.

The advertising needs to be both external (To attract new players) and internal (To get existing customers to spend more money). That's how any sensible business works.

This is free advertising for them. It makes perfect business sense for them to post up this ad upon login. It makes no difference whether they are an AAA game or a F2P game... They absolutely should be advertising their Crown Store offerings to us.

We do not stand on some incredible high moral high ground that puts us above having to deal with some VERY MINOR advertising. Your fingers will not break from one additional click.
