What is your best theory crafted character?

I was just noticing how my argonian magblade seemed to play better than my breton nightblade...which was a shock!

so,

which got me to thinking...

what is the best character you built and how did you craft it?

did you start with a race, armor set, certain stats, etc?

did you aim for maxing a particular stat or set of stats?

"The red pill and its opposite, the blue pill, are a popular cultural meme, a metaphor representing the choice between:

Knowledge, freedom, uncertainty and the brutal truths of reality (red pill)
Security, happiness, beauty, and the blissful ignorance of illusion (blue pill)"

Insight to Agree to Awesome Ratio = 1:6.04:2.76 as of 1/25/2019

Compared to people that I've ignored = I am 18% more insightful, 20% less agreeable, and 88% more awesome.

I built an Argonian Stamina DK for PVP. Capitalizing on the heavy attack buff from Seargent's Mail and the proc from Doylemish. Uses heavy attacks as my primary spamable with Corrosive Armor as my primary ultimate. Searing Strike for a small dot and sustained healing against multiple targets and Reverb for a debuff. But mostly I use all buff skills and defensive skills. Extremely tanky and sits at 35K health and 28K Stamina but hits like a truck.

One of the few builds that I can take on 4-5 enemies without dying and actually kill them. The build itself was theory crafted prior to Dragon Bones release in a thread talking about a hard hitting stamina heavy attack build. After discussing it and thinking up different ideas for it, I immediately had to build it once Dragon Bones released.

@jaws343 so the starting point was stamina heavy attacks? help me find the starting point.

For me I set out to prove a point. Sorcs can make first class healers. From there it's move from all buffs possible to most essential ones.

For me, my "best" build is always evolving as I am always looking for more ways to milk a little bit more performance out of my character; I consider my Vampire Lord build as my best, completely original, build...

The build started with me (after a great deal of experimentation) finding abilities that I had success with and had a lot of fun using; the Vampiric abilities...

Then came the gear that buffed Vampiric abilities (Vampire Lord)...

Then came gear that synergized with Vampiric abilities/Vampire Lord gear (Combat Physician/Ice Hearts)...

But like I said, this build has been evolving over time...

Since I thought up the build and 1st used it in practice, Ice Hearts has been replaced by Mighty Chudan as I found Chudan to be the superior option as a whole...

Recently I have been giving more and more playtime to Spectre's Eye over Combat Physician as the benefits of (and ease of procing) Major Evasion is steadily winning me over...

Anyway, I hope that answers your question...

My favourite is still my MagBlade tank/healer. It is a small man machine-
    • Troll King for you and group
    • Minor Maim from Wizard's Riposte
    • Massive critical resistance for you and group from Transmutation
    • HoT's flying round everywhere
    • Even in no CP enough regen for Cleanse for you and your group - directly counters bleed builds, Dawnbreaker and stam/mag Templars relying on Purifying/Power Light.
    • AND Guard to make one ally unkillable also.

It's throwing out all the most important buffs and debuffs whilst still being a viable solo character. My new build (coming Summerset) is also going to have Major Defile in the mix!

MagBlade tanks are just the best :D.

I like Alcast's builds. Although, sometimes I switch up the sets a bit. My trials toon, a Stam DK, is an extremely successful build. She wears Spriggans and Hunding's Rage. She uses the Master Daggers and the Master Bow. I've tried other builds from streamers, but in combat, I get all muddled if there is just a ton of bar switching really quickly. Alcast's heavy attack builds work really well with my play style. I can sustain 30k damage and very good resource management. The Stam DK has lots of heals and she rarely dies. My favorite toon besides my main, Mag Sorc. I only use the Stam DK for trials. I needed another trials toon because my main toon is my crafter and also does all the house decorating. Because of that, she has...inventory issues. I didn't want to be that person, that is always pulling out my banker or merchant and making people wait around. So, I decided to try a Stam DK around the Christmas Event when I could level her quickly.
