Summerset Pre-order

I still plan on Pre-ordering Summerset

The digital upgrade is already pre-ordered for one account, and the physical collector's edition pre-ordered for the other account. I haven't yet seen a reason to cancel either, and don't envisage seeing one. The reason given by the OP doesn't even come close.

I wasn't planning on purchasing Summerset, that was until I noticed Morrowind is included. That was the deciding factor for me since I didn't own Morrowind. I just got back into the game, I don't play a lot but its got me hooked a bit so it was a no brainer for me to pre order.

Other: I never planned to pre-order Summerset and I don't know how I'm going to buy it. I might wait for a sale, I might wait a year until it's rolled into ESO+, I might pick it up at full price on a whim, I honestly have no idea.

I preordered Morrowind last year because...well, because it was Morrowind, and that's with Morrowind being by far my least favorite stand-alone TES game. I only played it about 3 or 4 times through compared with double that many times for each Oblivion and Skyrim.

This year without some sort of deal from GreenManGaming, pre-order's not gonna happen for me. First, I think that the digital upgrade for existing players who already have Morrowind should cost at least a little less than existing players without Morrowind. Even 24.99us and 29.99us respectively would have been a meaningful gesture. Second, I have no interest in any of the other pre-order perks, so I'll be waiting and seeing. Third, I'm still working on most of the previous DLC's contents yet, so I'm in no hurry to get yet another map that I won't be playing for quite some time.

I just want to start out by saying my main is a Khajiit and I am a huge Khajiit fan and I like AD; however, I don't mean to be a complete arse in this post and this is just my opinion. Others have a complete right to disagree.

My Summerset opinion so far:

At first, I tried to let the new Summerset chapter grow on me but I just can't get happy with how my Khajiit is going to look in this new Aldmeri themed chapter. With everything I have seen so far, it's starting to look like Disneyland (Unicorns/Sparkly horses and Gryphons). Even the new tutorial looks like a ride at Disneyland. I dislike how my Khajiit will be looking like he is getting hugged and petted by Breton kids for 50 gold in the magical world of Summerset all day. Also, The Wood Elves look like the seven dwarfs. I wonder if there will be a quest where an Altmer in a tower will let down her hair so we as the vestige can climb up to her.

Argonians do go through torture up in EP, but at least it is typical torture. I don't want to have to look like a tourist attraction by being chained up by the Altmer (using the Khajiit once again) getting forced petted by a little girl all day.

Lol... Good thing I have never went to Disneyland and only saw pictures because I will get to go this summer. Let's hope they have Mickey Mouse as a non-combat pet in the new Psijic Vault crown crates for everybody to win so he can follow us around Disneyland all day. NOT!

I just hope to see some darker themed items here soon. I think they forget Mannimarco is from Artaeum. For housing, why not a darker High Elf underground sanctuary instead of big white houses which we already got in Auridon. Additionally, how about some magical looking armor (instead of basic white and gold Eagle armor we already have with the Altmer armor) or a cool black circlet like Mannimarco wears. No, instead it seems like we were given Disneyland!

Just my opinion, I was expecting something a little more mystifiying and not so 9 year old girl magical. Maybe I just haven't seen everything and they are saving the cool stuff for release (I hope). I am still going to pre-order Summerset like I did Morrowind last year, because I am a fan of this game and want to continue supporting it. I am just a little disappointed so far.

did the 1st second was available and your pool its short sighted since it only shows ones frustration...how to put it simple...do WoW players stop buying new expansions cuz the previous ones become part of the base game and whoever comes back or starts a fresh account gets all previous ones for free? ofc not...so have fun waiting 1 year for it...also be happy ESO doesn't have expansions so that would make it a mandatory purchase then we would have no more crying little !@#$ screaming all over places.

I pre-ordered mostly for the senche mount and costume Same as I bought Morrowind for Nix-Ox steed...
I can only be sure in next "chapters": if they won't include some nice mount and few more bonuses with them as promo, I'm not buying them while they are not in crown store.

I pre-ordered ESO, in 2014, I pre-ordered Morrowind and I pre-ordered Summerset. Nothing will keep me from doing just the same with future chapters.
I don't care that Morrowind becomes part of the base game and I definately don't care that it will be purchasable with crowns.

I just hope that future chapters after Summerset continue to be only sold outside of the crown store at first, because for me, this is the most important thing. Even though I have ESO+, I buy all new content I actually want to have, anyway. The annoying thing is, I play on EU and NA servers and everything from the crown store only gets activated on the server you buy it on. Thus I prefer to get new content outside the crown store, so I can use it on both servers right away, without paying twice for it.

I most likely will still pre order. Thing is this just makes Zenimax still scumish looking. Then again it still makes me look like an idiot for still supporting them. Then again it's what $150 Canadian with taxes? I like collector's editions. So I rather look like an idiot than scumish.

I have been through this with Games Workshop where the companies know they can do what ever they want and make their customers look foolish. At least Zenimax doesn't say this publicly. It took a long while for GW to turn around and become a professional company again once we stopped buying. Just took them about 15 or so years to do so. Hopefully it will not take Zenimax that long to figure it out there are better ways to make money and look good about it. I am sure that Zenimax knows this so it shows they just don't care.

So the way I see it now is not supporting Zenimax but if I see value for myself. So since I like collector's editions and enjoy them and I play them for a while at odds and ends, I get value for my money.

Still makes Zenimax look scumish though. I don't expect any compensation at all but all it tells me that Zenimax doesn't appreciate their customers or even loyal customers and have the mentality we are here for them instead of them being here for us.

I preordered Morrowind, no regrets. Planning to pre-order summerset when I log on today.

Keep up the good work, ZOS. I know you guys get a lot of flak for things, but the rate of new content is both fun and impressive, and for an RPer like me, immersive as well.

I suppose if it doesn't go on sale until it's available for Crowns then I'll buy it for Crowns, but I doubt that will happen.

OP must not be on PC, because if you direct purchase the pre-order from ZOS I do not believe you can cancel it... I know they charge you for it right away and update your account to Summerset.
