Have you ever queued for vet dungeons by mistake?

So i find this really annoying. Group finder automatically sets my dungeons to vet in the drop down and puts vet at the top of the list with specific dungeon selection. So i have to really think to make sure im getting a normal dungeon. Today, that slipped by me and i accidently queued for a vet dungeon. After two trash pulls in, im like " those mobs have really high hp" while im trying to figure out what is going on and ask in group if this is vet, the tank says in group to me " can you do proper dps please". So i say sorry didnt mean to queue vet, will drop. Ironically, i was still doing a third of the dps AND tanking the mobs because he was picking his nose or something after the initial pull.

Anyway i find it really frustrating that i have to try so hard NOT to get in vet dungeons. Have you ever queued for vet instead of normal by mistake and didnt realize it until you got in? Was wondering if this is a common mistake.

@ZOS_GinaBruno

QOL Improvement: Set the default drop down selection ( random normal/vet/ specific) to the last we selected. And change the text color of the vet names to a different color( red, blue, etc) or put vet at each name or something.

The character i was on was a trash character. He was never meant to be an end game character. He is a thief, master crafter, and pretty much all the misc stuff you can put on a character. He is also a pure bow blade, so not even designed to have high output dps. On top of all that, im not even cp 200 yet and besides 5 pieces of purple hundings, he has all random blue gear on because i havent got around to even buying all of his gear yet.

There is no way this character should be allowed in a vet dungeon, which is why i bailed and also i didnt want to listen to the tank cry because i could tell in the first 5 minutes of the dungeon he was an elitist.

Since switching to a controller, there's an extra step you have to take in order to queue for dungeons. It's a longer hassle, but it does help prevent picking the wrong thing.

No, but have seen plenty of people who have. The tank usually rage quits after dying repeatedly despite mechanics being explained. At least for vet DLC dungeons.

Been playing mmos for 20 years and been in some of the most elitist guilds/alliances/etc in a game. Its not hard when you been around them a lot. Probably even some rubbed off on me...bad habits/company and all that.

Only once. Taught me good that the default is vet. So, haven't done it more than once.

    (But I completed the vet).

Ok listen to this story- just recently on consoles the dragon bones dlc came out. I beat scalecaller on vet as a DD. I was in middle of re gearing my tank as I wanted to tank the dungeons, I que on pug to try my tank out on normal to check mechanics etc.

1st ogre boss we wipe a few times as nobody knew mechanics except me. We didn't have healer either as he was a fake heal/DD, anyway I was tanking the ogre ok, he hit like a truck. A block attack was about 15k through block, I was like dang he hits hard on normal. So I was solo tanking him, while ressing the other noobs who didn't listen to instructions about mechanics.

After many DD deaths and me staying alive, but doing 0 dmg, 2 of the DD leave. I waited a few min but it was at this point I thought if is this hard on normal I cba.... I found out after I left, it was on vet! I was kinda proud cos my tank was holding up well without a healer (which is what I hoped to achieve).

Edit: since this, I've since tanked it several times without the healer, this experience helped,.

Yes, one fail it was IcP, it was an guild run and weak group, fun thing that tank also had selected wrong, we tried but failed
On the other hand falchreach hold was cleared by accident also an guild run but pretty good group.
First vet dungeon I did was also an mistake, cleared it

Accidentally queued for vScalecaller on the PTS, didn't notice until we'd cleared the first boss and I was wondering why so many things were one-shotting.

prbly for the better though, otherwise we'd have just ignored most the mechanics

Happened once to me as a healer, I was 50cp and I appeared in a vet sewers I. I was in for about 2 minutes before the group voted to kick me and I was done.

I almost rage quit the game right there and then, thinking all ESO players were that arrogant.

Luckily I didn't, I learned later I could have healed it anyways. Some people are idiots.

I've even been put to vet after I only asked for normal.

Not so nice when you just want to quickly jolo through to get your key and some stuff for deconstruction... and end up with 3 pairs of eyes watching carefully that you really do some work. :#

No, always queue for vet Dungeons anyway. Would be an accident if I queued for normal..

I'm bit of a dungeon noob, so I like to do dungeons on normal. Sometimes I fail the selection, I didn't really notice I was doing vet instead of normal, though.
