Prefer outfits most of the time.
Costumes are nice for fast changing your look however.
Did a BG where all four used the free reward dress.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

I've not bothered with the outfit system. Perhaps if I were desperately in need of a money/gold sink, but I'm not. You can changed/redye costumes at no cost whenever you want to. There is often an initial acquisition cost, but it's generally clear what you're buying and what the total cost will be.

Outfits about 95% of the time. I only use the more "casual" costumes when I'm chilling in my house, not while actually in a dungeon/trial. Apart from a few issues outfits are superior to costumes imo.

Costumes are too limiting. They're useless to me until they can be split into their component parts.

    Depends
Depends on my character and theme. I have a DK tank who's modeled after the Dragonborn from Skyrim...so I use the costume for him. Most of my other characters use outfits because I've spent years collecting motif styles because I'm big on dressing up my characters. I can't get into the game with an ugly looking character.

I like both and having more options, so It changes depending on my mood....

I think they are both great honestly but lately I probably have been using outfits more. I guess, when Zos starts making more quality costumes I will enjoy them too. :)

Personally, outfits. Because I have a really thematic one. Too many silly floaty shoulders though.

If they bring back dragon priest costume, then that. I feel like it might next crates. (Scalecaller, fitting, other dragon priest hats have been datamined.)

I have a dragon priest costume that I got from a free crate. If you buy crates I hope you get it to drop. I wear it occasionally and also got a head piece that matches the theme. One of my favorite costumes, although I prefer to make and wear outfits.

I love costumes mainly because I can equip my guild tabard without looking like a cheap Halloween outfit.

I prefer Costumes, simply because I can change them for free. ESO plus let's me dye them.

I only use the outfit station to hide shoulders (Taesci Light Shoulders look like arm bands) on those characters I show armor with.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

    Depends
My crafting character wears a costume when staying in town to do crafting but I change to her outfit with weapons when out and about the world.

My Warden wears a costume with outfit weapons and my Mage is all outfit gear and weapons.

I like the options of both systems so I can dress them in items that work together and can hide the floating shoulder/hip pieces and front/back flaps on some of the armors.

Costumes, because I don't have to pay zos to be able to unlock one than one option, per character, even though there are fewer combat ready options.

Once in a while I'll throw on a costume for variety, but I really love my outfit and almost always wear that.
