Hey guys! So I was having a funny chat with a bunch of people about what annoys us within our dungeon roles. I thought I'd start a thread where we can share these. Just say your problem and tag it with #<your role here> Problems

Just one rule: You should be experienced in your role.

Example:

I really, really hate it, when people in dungeons run around and spread out so my aoe heals are rendered useless.

at some point in your characters development the role should be fixed automatically. prevents encounters with players that are tank, dd and healer in one person...

There's nothing like seeing an ice staff heavy attack go whizzing past my ear and suddenly the boss is chasing my squishy DPS or healer. They'd better not blame me for taunt immunity.

I hate it when I solo a boss and my team arrives just in time to get loot.

When the DDs are as far away from the tank and me as possible and can't be healed because of limited range and boss mechanics blocking the way.

When your tank is not stacking the mobs on top of each other and you have to kill every enemy one at a time

When a team member walks through you, but dies to the mechanics that usually only you have to deal with.

When your DDs don't revive the healer and you have to do it yourself if you don't want to wipe.

Tanks that kite bosses.

Range DD who stand 10 miles away from the group and when you re-position yourself behind them to try to buff the whole group with Combat Prayer, they will run away from you or step back even further. Maybe they afraid the boss gonna do AoE or something.

The healer/DD who got aggro on several mobs and run away from group, jumping, dodging... in panic instead of run toward the tank and the AoE others put on the ground.

When you think you fight the boss and out of nowhere your healerbuddy starts zigzagging through the screen ... followed by some really really fearsome monster

Haha some of these are brilliant!

Definitely can relate to "The Little DD Who could....or couldn't" where they charge in like a tank or agro a mob before the tank and leave me spamming heals trying to keep them alive xD

Let's also not forget the DD Who brags about their DPS but you have an add-on and can physically see your DPS accounts for much more

Really nothing to add Waste of resources, waste of healing.
I find healer the most stressful role, and I really hated leveling Undaunted to 10 just for title on my new warden. I was so glad when it was over - I don't have to deal with this madness anymore There were so little moments when people randomly decided to stand in nice line between me and boss, so I could successfully apply Combat Prayer and Orbs to everyone and didn't need to run like headless chicken

As tank:

I dislike when ppl that are dd run ahead of me when Im tanking, aggroing stuff and making all miserable.

Also nothing to add. No respect for tanks... And it makes the fight harder, also wasting everyone's resources.

As dd:

I hate when tank kites the boss out of ground AOEs (I mean the bosses which can be kept stationary, not those bosses who like to move randomly). Again, waste of my resources.

As any role:

I dislike when allies don't use my synergies (I mean, not even trying to use them).

All this is true for us pugs of course; people with reliable groups don't suffer from those issues I think.

Why would you get yourself that far ahead in the first place knowing your team isn't catching up with you?

When you are fighting a boss that is not tauntable but your team clearly doesn't know how to deal with that so you can only sit there and watch them die slowly.

Although I get why some ppl are worried about that, I seen some kick votes for rubbish, everyone is new once.

'Bowtards' who think they are f*****g Legolas...
Standing way behind me while healing and often drawing aggro of a couple of trash mobs, which is enough to make them walk back even further.

DPS standing on the corpse of other DPS, not ressing. i already feel bad, that somehow I let him die, but I'm making sure the tank is up so the big bad monster doesn't go squish you too. Please go pick that guy up. Its more of a problem in vet content, where the pressure on the tank is higher. In normal I can drop 3 healing springs and res. No one cares about your dps stats if we can't complete...

I find that healing is both most rewarding, but also potentially most stressful. I find I have to pay more attention to learning mechanics overall, so I can be pro-active more than re-active. Some vet bosses have given me a completely different perspective on a fight I've done many times before as a DPS. I hope I've become a more considerate DPS now.

I am still on a learning curve for vet content healing, but I do tell groups that if I am not 100% sure on something or haven't healed some content.

When I'm the healer and I'm keeping my team alive, buffing my team, debuffing the boss, doing DPS, AND tanking the boss...and the fake tank is bragging about how well they're "carrying the group." Sure, someone's getting carried.

When your healer always stays almost in melee range for no reason and you are lacking combat prayers as a ranged DD because of that.

When I get tired of the boss chasing me so I just run In circles with it, and then the other dps says I’m a horrible tank and should be kicked for trying to tank while using 2 weapons.

When your 2 dps stand on opposing sides of the map and avoid each other like the plague even if they are both ranged, so you have to hit one with Combat Prayer and run to the other side of the map to do the same. #healerproblems

When your tank kites the boss. #dpsproblems

When your dps steals taunt with an ice staff. #tankproblems

When you throw a shard at the feet of your dps or tank and they DON'T activate it. #healerproblems

When the Group is... eh... Und i accidently die because of a mechanic or because i was too slow to react, and then for Example someone else dies too and instead of ressing me they stand ontop of me and continue like they don't need a healer. Of course most of the time this leads to a total wipe.

The best is when i position myself to stand behind everyone so that my combat prayer/mushrooms/etc hits everyone before me and my bubbles touch everyone and suddenly that one Player thinks that he should be the one standing behind everyone. And then he goes behind me, i go behind him and he goes to oblivion so that my precious heals do not touch his (hopefully dead) body.

Damn, I was about to mention this. Probably the most hated thing.

However, there is a supposed opposite situation, equally annoying:

People standing nicely stacked, I throw shards and orbs at them, but nobody uses them...

I hate it in SO when the trials leader commands everyone to "focus the Overcharger" and I'm the only one who focuses the overcharger...including the healers, who are doing a great job healing the ranged DPS that are taking no damage.

#PUGProblems - Getting a really bad group that somehow consists of people in late game/max CP, not knowing how they managed to level at all with their terrible plays.

Healer says everybody get close im gonna throw up a shield, then casts seige shield....
