Pvp earns wayyyyy more transmute crystals than doing pve

This was a win for the PVP crowd, and as someone who predominately PVE's, I am, perfectly okay with it for a few reasons. As stated, there are plenty of ways to get them from PVE (Normal trial farming on multiple toons being the best), but PVP is certainly the best. PVE'ers by definition like running and rerunning the same content. If they didnt, they wouldnt last long in this game. Most PVP'ers have no interest in doing any of that. I think it can shorten their PVE grind a bit and at the same time, encourage more PVE'ers to venture into Cyrodiil. Sounds like a win/win to me.

Like most people, i was in a mad rush to change a bunch of stuff when crystals first launched. Now that the initial push is behind me, it honestly doesnt matter as much. I typically sit somewhere near the cap for crystals, and every time I get close to 200, I change one more weapon that I probably wont ever use anyway (i mean, how many Nirnhoned VMA bows do I really need). I think people are making the problem out to be bigger than it is.

As someone who mainly PvPs, last time I remember being grouped with peoples who only did PvE, they had a great time doing the IC Anniversary event, even if they died fighting their way to Molag Bal in the depths. Come this year, not only will they be able to get more stones, but some crystals on top of it if the event does come back(I hope it does).

PvP earns way more transmute crystals
PvE earns way more actual items in the actual traits you needed to begin with

Because we pvpers have to do way more pve, than you pveers have to do pvp, to get gear and stuff. Giving us more transmutation crystals will shorten our time in pve and allow us to get our gear sorted out faster than it would do with say, the same amount of crystals as pve gives.

No one is being catered to in any way. Everyone has the chance to do any content they want minus battlegrounds. Battlegrounds are behind the Morrowind pay wall. It is a players choice not to pvp or pve. Just a secret, if you want to make AP to get the rewards of the worth make a healer, spam rapid regen 3 times every 18 seconds and healing springs if not casting rapid regen. You will make AP hands over fist following or joining a Zerg.

Point one is completely false. After the morrowind changes, which were 1000% pvp related, most trial guilds essentially had to re-progress through content they had on farm at the time. Good groups went from being able to Farm VMOL HM, to having to essentially start from progression from the beginning. This issue was so prevalent that it caused many established PVE raid teams to disband after morrowind. I was on 2 of them.

Also, get off your high horse that all PVE content is a Faceroll. Unless you can show me a no death speedrun of every hardmode trail and arena, you have no business talking. Your average pickup trial group of decent players can probably do about 2 of the 6 of the trials on vet HM without much issue, and some of that content has been out for years. VAS +2 can still only be completed by a handful of groups in the world across multiple platforms.

well no, your first sentence is not a fair statement at all. pvp and pve should give equal chance/amounts of receiving crystals!!

I agree, but that statement shouldn't be limited to crystals, but that's not the case. PvE has the upper hand when it comes to their ability to collect every other resource in the game.

I honestly don't really care if you have no opportunity at all to get crystals or anything else for that matter. All you do is complain.

The specific change you are talking about happened bc zos didnt want players in either pve or pvp to be able to spam abilities without having any issues with resource management. This is actually more on pve'ers with infinite sustain in normal dps builds. Amd i know all about these changes. My stamplar main was hit worse then anything else in the game.

And ur going to say that there are 3 trials that are actually difficult. Forgetting about the rest of the entire game..... Ehhhh. Im more inclined to say that 99% of the playerbase doesnt really care about top dps, builds, or learning more about rotations. They get spoonfed information and dont try to learn by themselves. Or care to. And thats fine. But dont deny this game's pve is a complete faceroll for those of us seasoned gamers.

I do deny it. I will concede that overland content and a large portion of 4 man content, even on vet, does fall into the faceroll category, but that is not true of any content that has a leader board associated with it. For most serious PVE'ers, that is what matters.

Again, you are looking at transmute crystals alone. In those 2 weeks you have also gotten 63 helms, 126 undaunted keys, 63+ jewellery set pieces, a large number of set items (with a chance of dropping in the traits you need so will not require transmuting), much more gold, etc.

Now compare all the rewards you got with doing PVE with the rewards you got from PVP for the same time spent in game,. Which is effectively, enough AP for a couple helmets in impen Only, no undaunted keys, a few set pieces that are rarely of use, hardly any gold, and far more transmute crystals.

Looking at the whole, Those extra transmute crystals that PVPers are getting, still do not outweigh the rewards PVEers are getting IMHO. (And for clarification I do both PVE and PVP, so don't have a dog in this fight.)

And that's without taking into consideration other factors. Such as, getting the right trait on armour pieces is one of the driving factors behind getting PVEers to do dailies. If suddenly they have enough crystals to transmute their sets, that incentive ceases to exist, and certain dungeons will be dead. And the fact that the PVP population (due to neglect on Zos' part) is dwindling, so having transmute crystal drop far more frequently in Cyrodiil acts as an incentive for people to try (or go back to) PVP.

I don't get this imbalance either. PVP players now don't have to touch PVE at all for their transmute crystal supply, and they would be wiser not to because its nearly a waste of time by comparison. Also people are doing PVP on one character and stocking up rewards of the worthy emails and then opening those mails on characters who have nothing to do with PVP so that they can get the first daily bonus each time, which seems awfully exploity and ZOS has said and done nothing about it so I can only assume they don't care. (or they are surprisingly oblivious.. but they can't be THAT oblivious.. I hope)

Then whenever someone brings up this balance the PVP crowd comes and throws it in the face of PVE players telling them nothing is stopping them from doing PVP. Except for the whole intense burning hatred of constant zerging, lagging, load screens, hacks/expoits, macro-slicing, teabagging idiots who reside there.

PVE needs to have a better reward quantity or PVP needs to be brought in line with the rest of the game, its as simple as that.

First off if you have a zerg problem hop in to a group, zenimax strongly encurages group play (not my style) second non of us pvpers came here to whine about runing vdsa for our desired weapons neither vma, we grinded the crap out of those... it was not easy and many of us spend hundreds of hours for our first clear let alone get that desired weapon. Why if i got off my comfort zone to actually play content that "i" paid for to get the gear that i want makes you think that you shouldnt get off yours to get what you need? Lol Either l2p the pvp way or just settle for the leftovers... but if u dont put in the work dont come here to complain. For the first time there is atleast one thing rewarding on pvp... everything best in slot, weapon and armor remains on pve.

When you get reward of the worthy there is a chance it will contain gold transmute geode. Geode says it can contain up to 25 crystals, but I keep getting 4 almost all the time. Since we cannot trade with crystals and there is a cap of 200 per account if you are ESO+ member, I don't see why would this be an issue for any non PvP player to begin with.

BTW I find that transmute system is great, helps with storage as well since I melted like 300 pieces of armor so far, knowing I have way to change trait on an item if needed. Now I have few hundreds of slots needed to finally start doing CWC.

20 crystals in 45 mins while pvping? Can you elaborate on that? Don't tell me about possibility of looting 25 crystals from one geode as its very very rare, most of the time its 4-5 crystals per geode (at least my last ~15 geodes contained 4-5 crystals). To get one geode you need to earn 20k AP.
So it requires 80-100k APs most of the time to get 20 crystals
80-100k APs = 14-17 keep flips or 54-67 resource take overs.
When we take in consideration 45 mins period it gives us 3min 13s - 2min 39s per keep flip or 50s/40s per resource take over.

But even when we take in consideration that in PvP we can earn A BIT MORE crystals than in PvE (which is true):
      1. When you do PvE you actualy have a chance to get an item you want in desired trait so there is less need of transmutation use.
      2. PvE is easier to repeat.
      3. PvPers are still forced to do PvE as most of useful sets are BoP while nobody forces PvErs to do PvP.
      4. If we are about balancing everything can we balance gold income of PvPers with income of PvEers?

I just go to Cyrodil on my healer and I get ap and rewards simply for just existing. I type in zone chat "Healer lfg" and I get grouped instantly. It is the absolutely easiest and fastest way for trasmute crystals and I'm fine with it.
PvE already has so much more stuff over PvP, more gold, easier gear and monster sets whenever you want and not on weekends.

But if you absolutely loathe PvP, you can do pledges, random queue, normal trials, normal maelstrom and can someone confirm dragonstar arena?
All these per characters, so that's a lot of chances and a long list of things to do.
But pvp on a healer is easier.

And the fact that the PVP population (due to neglect on Zos' part) is dwindling, so having transmute crystal drop far more frequently in Cyrodiil acts as an incentive for people to try (or go back to) PVP.

56 helms (didn't do most dlc ones because people tend to suck at them) and yeah I think your math is a bit off with jewelry because you don't get guarantees for them to drop, try probably 1/3 of that because rng is not always with you. That and I can spend a week or more trying to get the trait I want on one piece... one piece. I can just take an hour or so of pvp and get enough transmute crystals with just a junk piece to fix that.
True gold for pvp'rs is no where near what a pve'r would get from some off the wall stuff. Pvp is still the only way of getting an elder scroll as a furniture.

This thread reminds me why I'm parting with this game. A community so self destructive that they rather demand a nerf to "the other half" of the game than to ask for a buff to drop chances in "their part" of ESO.

      So?

Seriously, why whine about it? Does it really bother you so much that you want zos to nerf PvP crystal gain? (Because that's who the balancing bat would be swung)

If you want to specifically farm tranny crystals then do PvP. Otherwise you get them for free from doing the PvE content that you normally would.

      Tranny crystals? lol
