Pvp earns wayyyyy more transmute crystals than doing pve

3 dailys that take 45 min lets say total you will earn up to 12 MAX. Thats 4 in each pledge return which i have never gotten so thats being nice.

If i pvp for 45 min - 1 hr i will make over 20 easy. What gives? Most pvp players can buy the gear they need from traders and ap usage. Its the pve players that need more of changing traits imo.

Is there ever gonna be a balance between two or will it stay @zos? It doesn bother me that much just sucks knowing im getting less doing pve.

Its honestly a BIG difference in how many you can earn in pve/pvp i wonder if this is intended

Nothing is preventing you from PvP'ing, but if you want to farm crystals while PvE'ing running dungeons isn't the most efficient way to do it.

What is then? Dont say vdsa or vma you only get 5. And doing randoms gets you 1 LOL. And i never said something is holding me back i asked is it intended and will they ever balance it because its a fact you earn them faster in PvP.

So whats fastest way for pve?

Get a good group doing normal trial runs once a week. You'll get the craglorn raids down in about an hour total. That's 15 crystals per char per week. And yes, it's not as efficient as PvP.

    So?

Seriously, why whine about it? Does it really bother you so much that you want zos to nerf PvP crystal gain? (Because that's who the balancing bat would be swung)

If you want to specifically farm tranny crystals then do PvP. Otherwise you get them for free from doing the PvE content that you normally would.

Weekly coffers from doing trials, they even drop on normal. Shouldn't really be a need though, if you run content that warrants a trait change you should have plenty. If the hardest content you do is vet dungeons then you can by just fine with off-meta traits.

Why would they need to say anything about it? They haven't said anything about how it's been way easier to make gold in PvE since... the game came out... or at least as long as I've been playing.

so glad zos set up the crystal distribution in this fashion...

for some of the pve folks it takes more than just vigor or caltrops to get them to come pvp and stay for awhile...

is it fair, heck no...still glad for the extra company in cyrodiil...

What's the problem? If PvPing is easier to farm crystals then why you aren't in Cyrodiil right now? What about ZOS will give infinite loading screens for PvE players to fix the "balance" in gameplay? I hope that this will bring more players to PvP, because right now it's a bit empty. Less whinning, more farming.

As a PvE'er I'm glad too. I've actually started PvP'ing again and I haven't regularly since Homestead. Been enjoying it too even though I'm almost as bad as when I first started.

It's a simple matter of overcompensation. Compounded by the probably-unintended problem of opening RotW on alts.

Originally, the crystals were available only from PvE, not from PvP. And then the PvP crowd loudly complained (even though most PvP gear is not BoP so they didn't need it nearly as much as PvE), and ZOS overcompensated.

If you only PVP, going and doing Dungeons/Trials for gear is out of you comfort zone but something you are forced to do. Where as for a PVEer it isnt. For them, having to PVP to get Vigor, caltrops and orbs is the thing that they are forced to do.

So I would argue its the PVPer who needs the transmute crystals more, in order that they can get their gear without repeatedly having to run dungeons more than necessary to get the trait they need. For a PVEer, running dungeons/trials repeatedly, is their end game, so not only do they have more oppertunities to get the right trait 'naturally' but by limiting the number of crystals they get, you are not taking away one of driving factors that keeps them running certain dungeons/trials.

I would also suggest that this is also maybe ZOSes way of encouraging people to try, or go back to, PVP given that it is in major need of players, as the PVP population is shrinking rapidly.

I disagree that PvPers can buy the gear they need from traders. Some yes. But we still have to do quite a bit of PvE to get the stuff we need.

You're forgetting that while most PvEers can manage to finishes their pledges, most PvPers are the ones getting farmed for all that AP to get the Rewards mails, and so most PvPers aren't actually getting such a great return on time invested.

Already said it in other threads but comparing PvE to PvP transmute rewards is apples to oranges.

PvP has been long overdue for any kind of decent reward other than AP ... which is independent of PvE.

I don't get this imbalance either. PVP players now don't have to touch PVE at all for their transmute crystal supply, and they would be wiser not to because its nearly a waste of time by comparison. Also people are doing PVP on one character and stocking up rewards of the worthy emails and then opening those mails on characters who have nothing to do with PVP so that they can get the first daily bonus each time, which seems awfully exploity and ZOS has said and done nothing about it so I can only assume they don't care. (or they are surprisingly oblivious.. but they can't be THAT oblivious.. I hope)

Then whenever someone brings up this balance the PVP crowd comes and throws it in the face of PVE players telling them nothing is stopping them from doing PVP. Except for the whole intense burning hatred of constant zerging, lagging, load screens, hacks/expoits, macro-slicing, teabagging idiots who reside there.

PVE needs to have a better reward quantity or PVP needs to be brought in line with the rest of the game, its as simple as that.

Lets put that in the context of a 30 day campaign and compare the main rewards both players would get for investing the same amount of time as detailed in your post....

At the end of 30 days your PVEer will have

    90 Monster helms
    180 keys for shoulder pieces
A large number of jewellery pieces (potentially up to 90 from the final boss' alone)
And a max of 360 crystals.

    The pvper will have:

Maybe enough AP for 4 or 5 Monster Helms or Shoulder pieces in impenetrable trait only.
    No keys for shoulder pieces
    5 purple rings
And far, far more crystals than the PVEer

But you want to nerf the crystals the PVPer gets because it's unfair?
