Well I can say I take like 2 weeks for doing undaunted dailies (vet) and I don't get anywhere near as much a reward as doing 1 or 2 hours of pvp cyrodiil. The system is broken I am afraid for transmute crystals.

Again, you are looking at transmute crystals alone. In those 2 weeks you have also gotten 63 helms, 126 undaunted keys, 63+ jewellery set pieces, a large number of set items (with a chance of dropping in the traits you need so will not require transmuting), much more gold, etc.

Now compare all the rewards you got with doing PVE with the rewards you got from PVP for the same time spent in game,. Which is effectively, enough AP for a couple helmets in impen Only, no undaunted keys, a few set pieces that are rarely of use, hardly any gold, and far more transmute crystals.

Looking at the whole, Those extra transmute crystals that PVPers are getting, still do not outweigh the rewards PVEers are getting IMHO. (And for clarification I do both PVE and PVP, so don't have a dog in this fight.)

And that's without taking into consideration other factors. Such as, getting the right trait on armour pieces is one of the driving factors behind getting PVEers to do dailies. If suddenly they have enough crystals to transmute their sets, that incentive ceases to exist, and certain dungeons will be dead. And the fact that the PVP population (due to neglect on Zos' part) is dwindling, so having transmute crystal drop far more frequently in Cyrodiil acts as an incentive for people to try (or go back to) PVP.

Exactly. Anyone who still thinks the system is unfair needs to bookmark this response and read it over and over again. I PVP way more than I PVE; as such, it takes a long time to get the monster sets I want (and it's expensive too -- those 3k CP resets and 5-10k skill resets add up when you switch back and forth enough times). A pure PVE player will likely get their preferred helm/shoulder in their preferred trait/armour weight LONG before I do and will thus have less need for crystals.

And seriously, folks; it does NOT take a lot of effort to gain the AP needed to earn your 50 crystals at the end of a campaign. It's very simple: craft yourself a cheap set of impenetrable armour (you don't even need to purple it out -- blue is fine), buy some ballistas (5-10 will do, just remember to pack them up before you storm a keep), buy some stone/wood for keep repairs, type LFG in zone, join your zerg, follow the crown's directions for a few hours, go back to your regular PVE activities once you've earned enough AP, and collect your 50 transmutation crystals at the end of the campaign. Repeat as needed on the rest of your alts. If you really want to easy-mode your way through it, throw a resto staff on your back bar and help your alliance out with some heals.
