Completely disappointed. They made it seem like they were giving away mostly crown store items in the event. Instead they made up filler items like 'undaunted treasure,' and filled the rest of the boxes with junk like 1-time-use dye stamps which almost nobody wants.

Most people have 1 character... maybe two.

With 10 characters doing 1 run per character per day (so, 40 runs so far) we've gotten 1 costume. No pets, no mounts, etc. One costume, a million dye stamps, and lots of 'undaunted treasure.' For someone with less characters, like my dad... well he's gotten nothing.

I'd expect with 10 characters for the rate to be about 1 crown store thing (costume, mount, pet) per day. The drop rate is just ridiculous with these.

EDIT: Additionally, the broken system that makes it take literally hours to do these dungeons makes it even more ridiculous.

Another eight runs today, amazingly I actually got the mastiff. I've done 37 runs to date and finally got a pet. No horse. No costumes. For the love of RNGod please use a token system. People who put in the effort should have the opportunity to accumulate tokens of some kind to get what they'd like.

By far, the most numerous "Crown Store gift" that I received from the boxes were... Treasure Maps..

In fact, this event has gotten me so stoked on the Maps that I'm gonna go to the Crown Store to buy some more... oh wait...

Free stuff is free but misleading statements are also misleading.

Lesson I learnt though, never ever use group finder even for a normal. While most people are ok, I just can't stand those that run towards mobs and bosses without waiting, rude jerks or even worse, sociopaths. It's fine, my fault. I'll play only with friends and guildies in the future.

I have learned that with most things ZOS does you have to read the fine print. Most of the stuff they are giving away people will not get until January 10, 2018. (It's in the sweepstakes rules).

It was fun. I got to run dungeons with guildies, use characters I rarely use, level up some lowbies and get a few nice items in return. I ran in pre-made groups, so there was no waiting time (except when we had bugged "group member declined" messages).

However, I feel misled by ZOS. When I read the announcement, I expected a varied selection of discontinued crown store items. I also believed that the items we already own didn't have a chance to drop and would be replaced with something else instead. The wording of the announcement leads me to believe that ZOS deliberately decided to misrepresent the real loot table to make the event sound more appealing - certainly not surprising, but disappointing nevertheless.

I got a number of treasure maps (a ton of these), a lot of transmute crystals but not a single experience scroll. All those items are listed in the same tier.

I got mimic stones and trash armor or maps. Sick of being grouped with fake roles. I had to DPS and heal because some clown grouped as a healer to bypass the queue and the other dps and the tank were new to dungeons so they needed heals, esspecially cause it was nCoS

This "event" is just dumb. They just wanted to stress-test their group finder but instead of saying that and give rewards for participating they mask it as a celebration.

I did not get anything nice, which i really cant either since things you already got beforehand cant drop. Silly me that bought these costumes when they were aviable in the crownstore is therefore punished by not getting anything at all.

But it's not just 'free stuff'.

That's the same mentality as people who say they 'saved money' by buying something for less than maximum price, when they weren't actually going to buy the thing in the first place.

We wouldn't have spent hours fighting the dungeon finder to do dungeons with 9 alts on a regular day without the intentionally misrepresented prospect of getting something worthwhile.

Just getting extra 'free stuff' means I get additional loot for something I already do every day. This is not the same thing.

Luckily I can usually get one or two guildies to run so didn't have to worry too much about relying on bad PUGs.

And I got a few nice shinies for free.

I don’t vote because it was a free event and I feel I got exactly what I paid for.

Crap or non-exisitant drop rates on the things I would have liked to found a bunch of junk eating up inventory space.

I'm all for events like this and was pretty excited for it from all the hype. However, I feel that we were completely misled with what kind of loot was possible. If they had worded it differently and given us a better idea of what we would actually be finding in the mystery boxes, I wouldn't have been nearly as let down. I'm not one to complain about free stuff, but lock picks and treasure maps are incredibly insulting "rewards".

Best thing I got was transmute crystals. No costumes or pets or mounts. Just trash I have to drag out of my inventory. Worst event ever. Some of the posts here remind me this was a 'celebration' event for the players and it just makes it so much more sad. It leaves that feeling of having been made to run through a bunch of hoops by someone whom I trusted only to find it was a con all along.
