Update on Grouping Issues, Mysterious Reward Boxes & Maintenance Announcement

    Do the rewards from this Event boxes really exist or i am the only one who only got writ surveis lockpicks and repair kits ? :s ( opened 8 every day ) :'(

    What adds on to the frustration is, that I don't mind this food running out...but for experience scrolls running out while trying to que up is frustrating.. it's wasting time...I hope we get compensation for that too... -_- I know you guys are hearing a bunch of complaints but still. :/ Spent money on these, and half hr wasted from trying to get a dungeon just bit perturbed.

    In order to address the grouping issues encountered since the dungeon event began, we're planning to bring all megaservers down for maintenance tomorrow morning beginning at 6am EST. The plan is to fix various issues relating to grouping caused by such a large number of players using the system including being unable to leave or disband a group, pass lead to another player, queue for a dungeon through the Grouping Tool, or the UI stating someone has declined a group even if everyone has accepted.

    Due to the type of fix this entails, we're also planning to publish the Xbox One incremental patch during the maintenance time. Included in this patch is the fix for the long loading screen issue.

    For those that have been attempting to run through a random daily dungeon today, or already completed the random daily dungeon prior to 10am EST this morning, we’ll make sure you receive your extra sweepstakes entry (if you meet eligibility) and are looking into how to send your Mysterious Reward Box.

    We apologize for the frustration this may have caused, and appreciate your patience.

    Group finder still showed that I was eligible to get a Mysterious reward box at 1pm est this afternoon. I was not sure that would get one but ran the dungeon anyways. I did not get a box after completing the dungeon but this may cause confusion for people who might not know when the event was supposed to end.

    When is the "regular maintenance" going to be going back to "regular" times?

    Is your advertised time, can you guys do the oceanic communtiy a favor? Keep to the advertise time. Just pick a day/time and keep to it please thank you from the greater oceanic communtiy.

    I agree but unforntunately ZOS and giving compensation don't mix well

    Not a bad exercise, but in the boxes only garbage. Treasure maps, repair kits, who needs it all? Of 36 boxes of more or less valuable received one mount - and that's good, because everything else is just thrown out.

    Groupfinder:
    The worst part is when it finally puts you in a group, your healer turns into a werewolf, your tank has 14k HP and the dps is heavy armor, using a restro staff and a two handed sword on the backbar. Then comes the 15 minute penalty before the cycle starts anew.

    Rulz of Morrowind:
    • The first rule of Morrowind is: You do not talk about Morrowind.
    • The second rule of Morrowind is: You do not talk about Morrowind.
    • Third rule of Morrowind: Someone yells NDA stuff, uploads images, streams, the game is over.
    • Fourth rule: only invited players can test.
    • Fifth rule: one invite at a time, fellas.
    • Sixth rule: crying or bashing on pts.
    • Seventh rule: NDA will go on as long as they have to.
    • And the eighth and final rule: If this is your first invite at Morrowind, you have to play.

    When I asked support what they would do regarding my ability to only get 44 out of 56 boxes due to the broken event, they said that they would do absolutely nothing.

    I could understand if they had to give away a physical product that had an associated cost or if they had to refund money but I can never understand why ZOS are so mean (just look at rng on crates etc) when it comes to digital reproductions.
    Just give everyone a few boxes and be done with it.

    @nightstrike Don't be too disheartened as that's the long and short of supports "support" in the vast majority of times I've dealt with them. They're more than useless.

    This whole thing has been negative. For me, it has a cumulative effect with their over reliance on RNG instead of other mechanisms.

    I'll wait and see if they implement some kind of remedial action to all of this. They have a chance to restore some of their brand reputation with the player base, depending on how they choose to respond, if at all

    If they give out free boxes everyone is going to get mad anyways when the open it and get a lockpick or a treasure map. So if they do this like how is this going to work? I spent the time and fought through the group finder bugs to get every box on all 7 of my characters every day. Wasn't easy but it was done. Am i going to get free boxes for having to spend 5X the time I should've had to in order to earn those boxes? Or am i not eligible because i earned all of mine? If i knew they were going to hand out free boxes to people who couldn't get all of theirs done I wouldn't have put in the time and effort to fight through bugs and grind them all out. I don't think it's fair to give out any sort of compensation for this event because it's insulting to those of us who set alarms to wake up early at extremely low-traffic times to do all of the boxes while the group finder was usable. If they don't give ESO plus subs compensation for the load-screen issues that broke my game BOTH PVE AND PVP FOR A MONTH but give out compensation for this I will be a very pissed off customer.

    Thats true. But one may assume (or at least hope for) a two-way dialogue between the development team and the investors. If there is enough blow-back, than some sort of positive corrective action may occur. As en example, this thread has had close to 30k in views.

    One can hope for the positive, anyway

    I can agree to that. I've filed many support requests. I think they've stopped sending me surveys at this point, since every one is a "No, No, lengthy explanation" response.
