Main Thread for Long Loading Screens

spending my load screen time reading the forums, this morning.

onerous in cyrodil this morning. downright oppressive.

Today when travelling from Stonefalls to Deshaan by guild/friend teleport I landed in Deshaan but the loading screen never went away. However, something different about the teleport this time was that I could hear NPCs talking and I could hear the actions of other players, just I was stuck with the loading screen art and couldn't see anything else.

PS4 NA, long load screen porting into my home. Closed app. Come back in and decide to PvP. Port to a keep, long load screen. Closed app. Came back and was in the keep so I went outside to fight and was killed. Respawn at another keep. Long load screen. Closed app. Came back and keep had been captured, due to guards, respawn at alliance base, long load screen. Closed app.

I thought this issue was resolved? After 2 minutes it should load in, right? Each time I waited at least 10 minutes just to make sure. Please. Fix. The. Issue.

Guys n Gals.

If you get a long loading screen in PvP..... End the ESO task via the task manager and restart the game. Everytime I have done this I have got back into PvP 1st time when pop locked.

worth a try. i'm spending more time in load screens this afternoon than i am playing the goddamned game.

For the second time this week in Cyrodiil I received an infinite load screen after attempting rez at a keep after dying during a failed attempt to take a keep. Both times it was that same.

PC NA. i7 with a GTX 1080 and both WIn 10 and the game are on an SSD. Both the OS and the game are fresh loads.

What happened to the 2-minute "failsafe?" I just got into Cyro after waiting in the queue forever and almost immediately got stuck in an infinite load screen. Fix your $h1t please!

Ended up having to reset the game and now I'm stuck in an even longer queue than before. I've been a staunch supporter of this game, but this is bringing me close to being fed up.

I think the "failsafe" worked on PS4 EU for a few weeks and now its gone back to being...the way it was originally. The whole game shuts down now and there really is no point in logging back in because when I do, I have to log into another character wait for that one to load, log back out, log in on the character that crashed and then get into a que...which..nope I can't be bothered with.



I wanna come home from work and play, but its a bit of a gambling situation, how many hours can I get in before I crash, or in my case 20 minutes...

Just got LSOD, PC EU, Shor, porting from landing area to Bleak. Is this bug still a thing?? I don't believe this.

If you really think that you cannot effort to assign resources to fix it then let us buy "bug fixing dev hours" in the crown store.

These are the two most common errors I've been getting for months now. We just upgraded our router last week and I am STILL frequently getting these messages, the first while trying to log in, the latter I get after lagging so bad everything but me freezes, then I get kicked from the server entirely after actually getting in. This is mostly while in PvP, but also happens in PvE, just not as much, though it is happening to me right now as I am writing this. I'm in Grahtwood, outside of Gorinir Estate with nothing but a couple of NPC's around me and, not only can I not do anything but walk around, I just got kicked off for the 6th time today, at least. As I said in my last comment, I was told to contact PlayStation support. This. Is. Not. Their. Fault. I do things on my PlayStation other than play this game and EVERYTHING ELSE that needs an internet connection works just fine. Please, please, please fix this, or at the very least, address it with us. I've not seen one word from the devs on this post since they said they 'fixed' the loading screen issues. I'm not entirely sure who to tag, so I'll do

Whilst on my travels via Wayshrines from Eastmarch to Elden root i was greeted with the now very familiar long waiting loading time message, so i waited for 10 minutes and then reset to find i was still in Eastmarch . it would appear that the fix of the fix for the fix still needs fixing !!

Remember Mid Year Mayhem Event when the servers crashed??

All we need is to upgrade your servers and optimize your coding.

We need our PVP back as it was in 2014 ( hundreds of people in the same screen with no lag or any issues)

Or they could like stop the game from generating infinite load-screens. What a novel concept!

Also I've gotten a few of these on CONSOLE since the issue was allegedly fixed and the 2 minute failsafe did not proc to take me out of the load screens. It hasn't been that many since the fix but its still happening and it seems like PC is getting it even worse now.

I play on pc EU, and after I write my password, loading screen to character select usually takes ~45s, and after that to load into game it takes ~55s. I do have the game on hdd and not SSD. Do you think this would speed up?

Yes putting it on a SSD should speed that up for you.

most loadscreens are 1min+, and in more populated areas, i could go make myself a sandwich. dungeons too, to the point people sometimes think i D/Cd.
when loading into a zone, first the environment loads, then quickly after the black standins, then after some "dead time" of nothing else, part of the black standins show the players themselves, THEN NPCs and everybody else. can we at least load NPCs after the environment not the players i don't wanna wait 3 minutes just to click a horse feeding thing

Processor: i7-4790k
RAM: 8GB
Zone: everywhere, but mostly populated zones
Doing: moving, via wayshrine, or any other type of port; sometimes, in particularly crowdy places, even just moving 10 meters, have had 4 loadscreen totaling 10 minutes in deshaan
SSD: no, just a regular HDD

On ps4 the infinite loading screen has morphed into kicking me off line every time I get the "this may be an unusually long loading time." Very annoying. For a while it was working the way you fixed it but not much anymore.

I overclocked from 4 Ghz to 4.4 a month ago and lag has been less. I've gotten two indefinite loads but the rest all improved a little.
