How does that work with the needing stam for blocking?
Puzzled ....

Chains or bust.
Tanking can be really really fun on all classes, but chains just keep DK leagues ahead of any other class.

I may actually try swarm mother set:
(2 items) When you block an attack from an enemy that is further than 5 meters from you, you spin strands of spider silk to pull the enemy to you. This effect can occur once every 1 seconds.
Could be a good replacement for chains.

Only difference is the group needs to know mechanics.. Stamplar tanks are for experience players
I have even seen magplays tank VHMs..

I have yet to see a templar tanking the warrior or side tanking the adds in the Room near ozara. You have no resource management and would need a baby sitter 24/7. I main a templar and could only imagine running out of resources within a minute.

Sure.. it is a friggen tank, but is a "StamDK" tank. My 70k hp DK, with 19k stamina and 12k majicka, is a friggen tank, but it's a "StamDK" tank, which I use 2H on the other bar. My other 40k hp DK, with 21k majicka and 16k stamina, is also a friggen tank, but it's a "MagDK" tank, which I use a lightning staff on the other bar. Get it.. do you get it..?

Mainproblem as templartank is selfhealing, not ressources...especially on warrior you have lots of time for heavy attacks...

Nailed it ^
On my dk I can survive a while alone because of gdb, same with warden and polar wind. There is a much more demanding stam return issue on a templar (repentance needs a rework from the ground up. Read: make rune focus restore stam or mag depending on max value...), but it is fine issue you plan for it and know the fight.
Not having an aoe root/add pull also hurts

i would not use GDB on my tank, i use igneous shield then vigor, better heals and more team support. my dk is actually a full on stam dk, i just switch out armor, bs, ebon, DG, with stam sets i have, SoM, hundings and agility with a master sword and vma bow back bar, she is then able to do desnt dps, like 25k dps, i am aware that is not going to set the world on fire but more then enough dps for most thing in the game and everything that i run as a dps on her. like 34k helath as tank, 17k as dps with 36k stam and 3k weapon damage.
