Suggestion: Separate Imperial City PVP

    Any argument in favor of keeping IC linked to overworld Cyro queue or population counter went out the window when they decoupled gate access to controlling emp keeps, imo.

    Talking from a farmer perspective the current IC system is really bad.
    While i risk all the time over 10k stones (Using imperial physique) gankers running around with zero stones are trying to gank me over and over again while fighting against a boss that can easily one shot you all the time. And if you manage to kill that nasty ganker that spams incap, cloak and fear while fighting against the boss (He never targets the ganker, because they loose aggro by cloaking) he just easily comes back after 20 seconds trying the same over and over again.

    Theres no risk in ganking farmers in the imperial city. Only for farming.

    The best thing is, you get literally nothing for killing that ganker over and over again. But if he manages to kill you (With the help of the boss, cause a ganker isnt a problem its the boss) he gets 50% of your stones.

    Not a fair system imo.

    That's a pretty good description of the risk-reward of farming in the Imperial City. When I'm farming or fishing, I prefer to do it on a low-pop campaign because its easier for me. Of course, that perpetuates the problem of low population in Imperial City to begin with.

    Combining the Imperial CIiy into less servers (I'd prefer a Below Level 50, a No CP, and a CP one for all the current forms of PVP) would concentrate the population of players. That'd be a boon to PVP players, but it'd be bad for anyone who wants to focus on the PVE aspects of the Imperial City.

    I would also like this. Just so when I go to Cyrodiil and see about even bars; its not 1 zerg running over overland, and another in the sewers leaving those of us out there wondering where they hell our allies are at.

    Also might make IC more interesting if its in one campaign to where the population can't just look for the least pop server and farm with less risk.

    I believe the only real reason why IC counts towards cyrodiils queue in the first place is that it has originally been designed as an addition to cyrodiil, directly influencing campaigns. I still pitty us pvpers to this moment, that ZOS decided to exclude IC from regular pvp. I still believe the best way to treat IC and to bring back life is to rebuild the bridges and include it in base-game for everyone. Its probably the only „major“ pvp dlc we will ever see in ESO since it abandoned subscriptions. Its time for ZOS to act. Refund players who bought it with the IC collectibles and be done with it. Would be best for everyone and ZOS might finally be able to get some additional new mechanics to cyrodiil with a product that is basically finished. in order to break up the endless fights of the inner emp ring many people have given constructive feedback in many threads in order to grant a flawless transition from IC to base-game - just do it!
    I guess separating queues would mean real death to my hope for the inclusion of IC... But well...if ZOS is too lazy to do sth good with IC they might as well chose the OPs suggestion. I still have hope for positive change though!

    I agree with this, since IC is the center of the empire (or whatnot), adding it into the base game and making it more easily accessible via the bridges would be a great improvement.

    If you could just imagine riding onto the bridge and directly into a district, with a fierce battle raging between factions. I think this is the picture that the DLC will paint in someone's mind but of course it is not like this anymore.

    The sewers are also great, but I think the ability to enter directly into the city would be a very welcome change, I would love to see large scale district battles taking place in IC again.

    im a pve player. have no pvp gear or specific skills. I goto IC regularly. We owned no keeps in cyrodiil the other day. took a few minutes to get there and thats because i stopped for nodes and 3 treasure chests along the way. After i left the gate, didnt see another player in cyrodiil.
    In IC: didnt see a single player. I saw a corpse or two that i didnt leave, but saw no players. I cant even recall the last time i died in IC and im always there solo in pve setup.

    So all these arguments about how you either constantly get ganked or have to be hardcore PVP is CRAP. stop peddling it.

    If you loved the Imperial City in Oblivion, you might want to spend your nostalgia points in the Gold Coast, where everything you loved isn't wrecked and ruined by Daedra. Outside of PVP, tel var farming, fishing, and a decent but not spectacular main quest, there's not that much to do in the Imperial City and nothing compared to what you could do in Oblivion.

    I would prefer to see IC incorporated into the campaign scores, with a port directly from the gate into your sewer base to cut out the horse ride. Give IC more objectives, apply them to the campaign scores, consider retiring it to the base game, and you'd be on a roll.

    It is the Imperial City, after all. It's what the three factions are fighting over.

    i own the collectors IC, so your suggestion is almost worthless to me, and many others. the only way id be ok with them making IC non DLC is i get a full refund for what i paid for the CE pack AND keep the stuff i got from it.
    that will NOT make them money.

    Can you explain to me what exactly is in the Collector's Edition and when it was offered?

    Also, would you want a refund if you had purchased the normal, non-Collector's Edition version of IC and then these announcements were made?
