Why would you take the stun from frags away?

    probably for the same reason they did it to wrecking blow. They want you to chose between damage and CC.

    It's frustrating to be hit with frags over and over again. I love the skill, but you get hit once, by the time youre getting up you can be hit by 2 or more, depending on how well the user can animation cancel. Its just a spammable with a cast time with a high chance to negate the cast.

    What? The cast time doesn't change on CF no matter how you try to cancel it. This is a issue on the receiving end where the player doesn't break free of the stun and immediately get up and nothing else. It only seems like it can be cast quickly because of the flight time of the first impact, enabling the player to be casting a second during that time. Also.. hard cast CF's? Eww.

    Besides this is purely a PVP problem (once again.. surprise surprise) I haven't used CF for dps on my sorc for what seems like a year+ and I don't know anybody else who does either in PVE. Sounds like just another stupid decision from the ZOS combat team.

    Because it can do high DPS, CC and quick cast. They nerved other skills from other classes and this was bound to happen if you follow along ZOS's actions.

      I already started slotting Destructive Clench in its place cause I really only used it for the CC to follow it up with Tomb. Feels better too, not having to get frustrated when Frags decides to not proc for 30 seconds straight. Just missing my Master Lightning Staff.

      You mean like how they are buffing Solar Barrage to be a really neat source of Empower procs every 2 seconds for melee temlars?

      You mean how they are buffing Crystal Blast to do more splash damage?

      Fact is buddy Crystal Frags was a no-brainer, which is bad game design. If you want a good game with plenty of choice you nerf the thing that is overperforming the most and buff the thing that is underperforming the most. The Devs and the community dont always agree on the direction those changes should take, but the Devs are mixing buffs and nerfs appropriately. You as a player will have to find a way to adapt.

      I feel like I should copy and paste this every time I hear someone complaining about a nerf.

      Seriously, everyone wants to be the most powerful player in this game and this stuff really ruins the fun. I hate it when I feel forced into certain builds or playing a certain way when ESO offers so much customization.

      I do agree with what someone else mentioned in this thread though; they should really re work some of the skills no one uses to make them more appealing.

      Frag is supposed to be an buff to force pulse and other front bar skills, its not supposed to be an CC ability, its also very unreliable. For PvE going for an pet+aoe+ heavy is probably better.
      Grinding just make you go in circles.
      Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

      PVE the stun is mostly irrelevant, thus removing the stun is a way to reduce the power of sorcs in PVP without hurting them in PVE.

      Additionally the addition of an unavoidable stun in Rune Prison fills the niche that frags did, at the cost of bar space.

      Didnt they just get done nerfing the potential damage for frags just an update or two ago?

      My sorc that uses this ability lost a good bit off the top of his dps thanks to that nerf, and he wasnt even doing all that much damage to begin with since he wasnt min-maxed.

      Now theyre going after one of the few benefits left to the ability? At this point the only thing I enjoy about frags is that I can get 100% insta-cast with a certain rotation. Beyond that I might as well start looking elsewhere for something to take its place.

      Nope, no dmg buff. Im ok with frags nerf, I simply wont use this skill anymore as its useless without stun component:) free slot for something new:)
      I'm done with this game because of ZOS pushing us into Vengeance, because they don't know how to fix Cyrodiil.

      Easy:

      1. ZOS have never taken the time to do a full comprehensive and comparative skills review across all classes.
      2. ZOS don't theorycraft with new set combinations with builds before launching them to find out what's broken, useless or overpowered.
      3. ZOS tend to listen and react to moaners in pvp who throw fits when their toon gets owned rather than taking a balanced view on skill effectiveness.
