The last PvP event in July brought some life into the campaigns.
This one makes IC just as dead. I mean, people congregating in big numbers to farm monsters and Molag Bal were happening before, but now instead of 2 people trying to outsmart 10 people, it's 2 vs 30.

We will hear "thanks ZOS, I finally got my skin and the achievements without getting ganked!" many times following this event.
Where's the money at for ZOS?
Most everyone in IC during this event is there for Tel Var and not to fight. That's evident by how many people I've come across who just hold block when attacked attempting to submit so I won't kill them.
IC PvP is my favorite PvP in this game. I was desperately hoping to find some better action than I have. Anything to breathe some life back into this zone. Guess that was too much to ask.

I wouldn't even call it a success from a pve standpoint. The skin is, funnily enough, harder to get during the event than not.
What's easier to obtain? Farming the skin with 11 other people, all having 1% chance to drop it or farming the skin with 40 other people, where only 12 have a 2% chance of dropping it.
Not to mention the pvp, solo pvp is out of the question and we can agree on that. Bombing is the only way to kill these zergs and even then it's pretty hard as people are extra cautious (magelight spamming kind of cautious) from all the failed attempts they witness every 20 minutes.

My point was that more people will be drawn to IC during the event, making farming it way easier than under normal circumstances for ungrouped people, players without big guilds and big social networks who would organize a Molag Bal farm, etc. That's the majority of the playerbase.
I honestly think I'm done with this event. I killed a few zergs, I got run over by more zergs, mostly solo. I agree that bombing is the only reliably successful PvP in IC right now. I have guildies out bombing to their hearts' content, but I just can't get in the mood to PvP enough to bother respeccing. Plus bombing is boring. Hurr durr I pressed R and killed a bunch of people not wearing impen. Look at me go.

Isn't this how the event played out last year as well? I mean, I'm asking. I was kinda in the middle of things and didn't have the opportunity to log in during it then.

@starkerealm
Yes to answer your question . Last year it had similar results and I was happy to see more players in IC . I do not care if PVP or PVE players in game . The difference was there were not so many open servers last time so it was a lot more PVP active and lots of fights happening . This time not so much .
