Fix face/body marking visibility on Vampires

EDIT: Anyone who has played vampire has noticed that all face/body markings appear so washed out you can hardly tell its on you.

A lot of people are tired of the ugly vampire paleness, logically a body marking should appear even moreso on top of pale skin.

Im asking Zos to change the order of skin appearance so that the vamp paleness IS NOT the overlapping skin. Another option could be a skin collectible for vampire (aquired after skill line completion or something). If not, can you please explain why this cannot be?

I have several skins and none seem to wash out. They look just as they do on non vamps.

Off hand I think the skins I have used are Dro M'thra, Fabrication Sheath and Amberplasm. No change with their appearance on a vamp or non vamp.

Skins are entirely different entities to body markings. Body markings apply an overlay to the character texture so that the natural tones can come through, and they're hardly visible on vampires. Skins replace the texture entirely.

Thats not even an argument against it, whats backing up your claim? The pale skin of the vamp applies OVERTOP of any body markings. How does that make any sense to you? Logically, black paint should show up better over white pale skin, no?

Literally, they can apply the vamp skin to be behind body markings to fix it.

There's a couple head markings, like the Crimson Flame Lips that apply over the vampire shader, and aren't pale. But, those are the minority.

Also, applying any skin will override the vampire shader. But, if you want to look like a vampire, that's not an option.

A lot of skins also hide markings as well. I rocked the Zombie skin for a little while, that helped a lot show up without looking too altered but only blacks and reds showed up 50%.

The vampire look/skin should be optional. A collection you get while you're a vampire that you can toggle on and off, and should be locked (can't use) if you're not a vampire.
The vampire skin and veins and eyes are absolutely hideous. :s

Stage 1 can look pretty good on some characters. Stage 4 looks like moldy jerky.

I agree with this. I wish they would just let you choose which stage you want to look like cosmetically or to turn it off completely. It's not like you can't just throw a skin on and hide it so it already doesn't effect pvp at all. Might as well let us look how we want and get some good PR.

I always wondered why this was defended.

Why would body paint be pale because you are? Zero sense.

Why would ink behind your skin fade because your skin does? It makes no sense.

It's a programming quirk because vampirism is a shader applied over these features, it is not a conscious design of intent. If it were, there would be absolutely zero reason for it. None.

Please, pretty please, someone from ZOS acknowledge you've seen the thread?
Tattoos DO NOT color your skin (well, not really). They create pockets of ink underneath your skin. Think about it: tattoos take forever to fade because they are created by a pool of ink beneath the skin layer. Your body constantly sheds skin, pushing more and more to the surface as the cells age and die. If it colored your skin, tattoos wouldn't last anywhere near as long as they do.

Hilariously, you actually do see this when you use a marker on yourself, as it will fade quickly.

It might make sense with some of the markings, like freckles, but everything after that, it's kinda like, "wait, what?"

It would be nice if they would acknowledge the issue instead of pretending it doesn't exist. That's the most infuriating part. This bug is why I don't buy markings.

I support proper colorful tattoos and markings for pale vampire skin!
I still can't forgive the fact that we got new fake vampire manequins for showcasing body art... When I saw pictures in datamines, I was 100% sure that these markings will actually look black on vampires, just as they look black on white manequins :'(
When I read the description of Wings Of Darkness body markings, I imagine it's being said to one of my vampires - if he would ever think about being cured. He would get this body art to remember and display the darkness of his soul:

“The darkness within you should be acknowledged, yes? With you, I see it as wings taking you through times of Dark Moons into brighter times. Let us get to work so that you can better embrace this journey.”

Of course he doesn't think about cure, but he would love to use this black body art.

I bought most of new body art anyway, cause it looks awesome on normal characters. I hope someday body art will look awesome on vampires as well :(

I only have two vampires, and the scary look is part of their nature. Without vampirism, these characters would not exist. But when I use some cool body art on them, it never looks right :/

For example, black body art is supposed to enhance the look of this character and create nice mix with her armor...
