Yeah! I want to get back to the mindless grind that may or may not even be worth doing. As there is no way of knowing if killing those mobs actually will yield results.
I'm 100% with you!! Some things are going to be a grind and I'm alright with that! I make money being able to mindlessly grind for stuff that others buy off of my store listings. I'm frustrated with knowing if I am grinding the right mob. If I need to spend 10 hours farming to get a plan then so be it. I haven't even heard of anyone getting a plan yet :(
I got Ayleid Bench Carved, blue plan from a mob drop in Rulyani's Fall (sp?) the Greenshade public dungeon, took me about 2 hours of grinding that dungeon to get it. The drop rate is horribly low, been grinding Ayleid ruins for about 8 hours now and only got that one.

Due to the nature of the exploit, we aren't able to divulge any details. That said, you can rest assured that we will be fixing it, and any accounts found to be abusing it will be taken care of.

That reasoning is entirely counterintuitive.... If you are fixing it, than why does it matter? Also, how would I or anyone else know they are doing something "wrong"if you don't clearly state WHAT IT IS THEY ARE DOING WRONG? You people cloak rules under a grey umbrella of "exploit" yet it's up to us to figure WHAT IS AN EXPLOIT, and what's intended? Please just be transparent with us, the people majing your pay check possible... Or do you want more people dropping subscriptions on you?

Very well said! I couldn't agree more! I have been a paid subscriber since launch, and I feel more and more like a piece of garbage that is lucky to have the ability to play the game in which I PAY TO PLAY. Major issues continue for months without being fixed, but then as soon as someone "exploits" one of their own malfunctions, they take the servers down immediately. But God forbid they actually FIX something with that much conviction.

4 1/2 hours certainly falls under "a few hours" ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

And man, I live in Europe, have been wanting to play all day and came home to this and... Dudes. Calm down. You'll survive losing a few hours of play time, I'm sure. I'd rather not get to play today so they can fix whatever apparently serious exploit this is than have them leave it to make a mess. (Besides, somewhere it's always gonna cut into people's playtime, anyway.)

This one crosses its claws. When this one comes back to Tamriel, this one will find out that all off the bots are gone.( Wishfull thinking)

I was running a new warden through grahtwood before the patch, near that little village where you have to work out who broke the green pact. There were so many bots in the little river valley just below that it was lagging the game. I'm talking a bot train of fifty plus all trying to kill the same bunch of cats. No way in hell were they getting xp, not spread over fifty for god sake.

I reported a few but more just kept turning up.

There's bots all over. Every damn where. Bots farmin mats, bots farmin exp. Just. all the bots.

Reporting them does NOTHING. it's pathetic.

I was accused of being a bot while I stood at a dolmen with my friend, waiting for it to respawn. We were just standing there chatting in whisper, and someone ran up to us and called us bots. Then today, just before the server went down, I was working on my Monster Hunter title, wherein I need to kill another 300+ ghosts to earn my title. So I was just running in circles outside of Davon's Watch, killing those ghosts because they are plentiful and respawn quickly. I wonder how many people thought I was a bot while i did nothing but continuously run around killing ghosts? All I'm saying is, I feel as though I'm back in Salem, and there is a witch hunt going on. I'm sure there are legitimate cases, but do you guys at least try to whisper these "bots" before you report them? Cause if not, you might be part of the problem as to why they pay little mind to bot reports. Because I am certainly not a bot, and if someone would take a second to whisper me, they would get something no BOT can produce, and that is a response to a whisper. Just a thought.

They don't ban based ONLY upon player opinion, they're going to look at you for repeditive behaviours (and no human movement is absolutely repeditive, even if you do the same thing over and over). The only reason to feel defensive about it is if you were actually botting/exploiting.

    Uh, yeah, I know.

It said a few when i came home earlier shortly after the servers went down and it's been a few hours since, so it's not like ZoS failed to deliver the fix in the time they said they would since ~5 hours (the time from the initial post about the downtime till when the 2 hours are over) would still fall under "a few" is what I mean, since people complained that downtime is too long for being told it'd take a few hours.

In a case that might be as egregious as thing might be, would it be possible to contact the ISP of the individual to try and work something out?
Just curious don't know the ins and outs of how to truly ban someone would work. Even a hardware ban can be bypassed from my understanding.

You can contact an ISP and address such issue, but it is up to the ISP to take action, they are not allowed to share a customers details to companies like Zenimax.
But then again, a smart hacker would make sure that the used route is untraceable by using tunnels... until the hacker gets sloppy ofc.

If the issue is account security related and if there are money involved it would be more a matter of local authorities taking affair than banning an ip address anyway.

If it is made via players own accounts the thing is as easy as just banning those accounts for good.

I don't care how long it takes but I would like a general idea of what the Fudgesicle is going on! There was a time when Zeni would divulge the current exploits to the player base and encourage the honest players to report anyone using exploits/cheats ect. Now we cant report or expose cheaters/exploiters here we have to write a ticket in game cross our fingers and say a hail mary and maybe something will be done about it! I feel if you are caught cheating/exploiting then you don't deserve to be protected by the ToS because you have already shamed yourself for stooping that low!
