But if we can come together and make the effort, I believe the emp trading can be thwarted.
Speaking from experience from the problems of old Haderus, what will make or break Shor is a consistent oceanic population across all 3 factions. I'm also very aware that this is a very delicate line to draw and balance. But if we can come together and make the effort, I believe the emp trading can be thwarted.
Starting out with the predetermined mind state of "it will just be an emp farming server" is destructive and will ultimately lead to such a conclusion. We need to make a collective effort here to make this work.

We do need oceanic players. I don't know how to attract them when Vivec is a good campaign outside of prime time.
@ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_BrianWheeler Would you consider removing the emperor throne housing item? The release of that item largely drove the start of emp selling that made the old Haderus degenerate by creating a market for it. If the trading guilds selling emperor achieves set up shop in Shor, it will be difficult for regular players to resolve. And once there's a bad reputation for the campaign it will be hard to attract new players.
What's the scope of this potential problem? This is going on in Almalexia...
Not whispers to me, btw.

The person that's offering $500 USD in that screenshot is #2 on EP's leaderboards, and trying to pay #1 on EP to drop campaign so they can get emp when the campaign closes to keep the title forever. They're also glitching out of the map to trade kills so that people can't come by and kill them:
The crossed swords to the bottom left of the map were constantly disappearing and reappearing for hours, and the person in that whisper screenshot was consistently gaining 200k-250k AP an hour on the leaderboards even when it's 4 A.M. and the map is completely red (they're EP as well which means there's nothing for them to be taking, and there's not enough people online to farm that much AP by camping DC/AD gates.) The perma emp of Had did the same stuff to get #1.

It's for the perma-emp title when the campaign closes. This person has already been emperor -- and didn't get there by legitimate means from what I've been told. I've been asked to come help block them, but without a strong DC or AD contender it seems unlikely for a few extra hands to make a difference.
As yes, I was offered a considerable sum to drop my first emp push in favor of someone doing nothing but farming his guildies in a delve for hours... surprise, surprise, it was from one of the trade guilds busy making gold selling emp achieves now.
That said, i'm more then happy to set aside the rivalry we've had in the past. Let's bury that and move on, shall we?

The level its dropped too is just pathetic, big zerg guilds have destroyed that aspect of pvp.
welp first impressions of Shor are bad. its 10:15PM EST - this is Vivec primetime and I was expecting this to be an overflow server. Where are you? all i see is EP zergs. straight up ZERGS. me? i had 5 at my peak group number.
oh look the EP emperor is gate pushing DC. but not AD. I homed here. Thats me not "ceding the campaign" thats me giving this a chance. I said this was going to be a fake campaign and so far, its gotten to that start.
First day emps aren't unusual, but I was disappointed that we had two emps today.
I was disappointed that DC didn't even try to light Ales or Ash while EP was hammering a few pugs at Alessia to crown.
I was disappointed to see DC push Brindle and Roe while most of AD was trying to dethrone, in what looked like an attempt to go for a 3rd emp in one day.
I was disappointed, but not surprised, to see EP pushing DCs trikeeps and Faregyl.
But all in all, I rarely lagged (only anytime I died ), didn't have a queue, didn't have to deal with the giant destro trains on Vivec and had some good small group fights. So I'm happier than I was last week.
