Unplayable Lag Master Thread, Please Share Your Details

    4. Issues: I've been playing since launch and my connection is typically ~90. I have never seen anything like the past 3 days before: Rubberbanding, ability and interaction (doors, etc.) delays of up to 10 seconds. In busy or quiet areas - even solo instances. Sometimes it just stops and I get disconnected. The issue disappears in the wee hours of the morning and then is back in full force. This is my only internet issue. I can stream Netflix just fine and other online games (including Secret World Legends) are not showing any problem whatsoever.

    For me it's not since Morrowind nor since last patch nor forever... it started just this past Saturday and it's still happening.

Mount slowdowns like it is snared, textures not loading causing character to get stuck running in one spot. Low stuttering frame rates and rubber banding. Not getting cc immunity from immovability pots or cc's.

    Issues: Particularly in the evening, weekends, and holidays but not exclusively so; I experience long load times, stutters where I get jumped back 10 or 20 game feet (tonight my bear and baby senche passed me running), freezes that kick me back to the Xbox home screen and, of course, the ever present lag. Sometimes, during the day, it is not especially noticeable but it gets serious in the evening. Tonight I had to quit because the lag was so bad I couldn't count on my survival. I threw an ability at a Dwarven Centurian and nothing happened. I waited and when nothing continued I turned and left. That's when the Centurian reacted to my initial attack. Had my bear not held agro for enough time for me to respond, I would have died because nothing was firing fast enough.

    5. Issues: Average ping is 200ms higher than 2 weeks ago. Frequent Lag Spikes, 999+ ms. Delays in abilities, bar swaps, accessing menus, entering and exiting buildings. Frequent crash (freeze) in cyrodill. Have to quit and restart the game every 20 minutes when in Cyrodill. Was not the case prior to this week-end

    @Morgul667 have you tried very recently? I just logged from Thailand using Mudfish vpn and had some success. Everything seemed to be working relatively well again. Had my traffic routed through Japan. If you're using a vpn of some kind might be worth playing around with traffic routes or try Mudfish which makes it easy.

    @Vapirko Thanks for the feedback. Im happy to hear that. I tried last night, Asian time, was very bad and I tried all kinds of routes. I will try again tonight.

    Could you share some information on mudfish or vpn that work for you ? (maybe in PM?)

    @Hollery no on really knows yet. There is a thread around where a few people have pinged launcher.bethesda.net and found that there is massive packet loss at and AT&T address near to ESO NA servers. But who knows, it may or may not be something ZOS can help with. It's officially a holiday and so we won't hear back until it's over presumably. I'd be legit surprised if the devs aren't aware in some respect, either internally or from multiple forum mentions.

    Rubber banding, failure to interact with items. Having to repeatedly hit buttons to get stuff to fire. Began after the outage on Friday (I think it was Friday) and hasn't resolved since. Not within the normal band of performance. Can't do anything but writs, and even those are an exercise to complete. Am able to play other games fine.

Normal latency is 45-120, latency now is now constantly bouncing around 45 to 1000+. Constant disconnects, takes forever to open doors. I am currently no longer playing as it is too frustrating and in no way fun

    Been happening a lot the past couple weeks, more the last few days.

    Wondering what it is we are paying subs for... You've already gone from giving us 4 content updates a year to 3 by turning one of them into a paid expansion, so be nice to have the servers working smoothly at least.

    5. Issues: Lag and crashing several times a day on both Monday and Tuesday (June 3 and 4). I never had crashing issues before, and barely ever had lag issues. Also had an issue where my character would suddenly go back in time a few seconds ... weird. I believe they call this rubber-banding? Like, the character would suddenly jerk back to a location where he was a couple of seconds before. This has NEVER happened to me before. Also having issues where a character will get stuck in a loading screen that never ends until I have to close the game out completely to stop it. This is a new problem as well. Usually happens when going through a door.

    6. Normal latency is 290-400, latency now is 550-999+ constantly bouncing around. Cannot do anything in Group dungeons, cannot make Undaunted quest, imperial city, Cyrodill, etc etc.
    7. Now my life - its only go and gather butterflies in most empty locations .

    Please PM me too - I am from Bangkok, TH. I thing maybe Killping can help but after read you thread about Mudfish. Please if you have a time PM me with suggestions which server to use, etc

    This is the second time I've ever been fed up due to lag out of my entire gaming experience with Zos. Two days in a row now from between 1 am to 3 am est I've been getting 999 latency and/or kick to login. That's what I get for trying to take advantage of finally not having work in the morning.

    Normally I'm 90-120 when I'm by myself, 300 when I'm in a city and people are messing about (or my roommate starts downloading something) Past two days, while roomie has been asleep, I've been getting 999+ ping and I was kicked to login today. Frame skipping and rubber-banding all over the place. I can't bar switch, I can't heal or tank, I don't even try to weave or anim cancel anymore.

    Game frequently freezes and either kicks to login screen with "No Internet Connection" (there was no loss of connection). Can happen several times an hour.
    I noticed it happened more frequently if I went to a crafting station after visiting the bank.

    Had one instance where changing my ability bar in combat teleported me to a different area. Many times where attacks from myself and enemies didn't register initially then damage happened simultaneously.

    I'm playing from on NA because I'm originally from the US to answer someone's earlier question.

    I'm starting to think that all this ping has something to do with the recent EU server hacks that have now come to the NA side. Hence the silence from ZoS. Anyone bought any cheap mats from wholesalers recently? I can't prove this of course but it's my gut feeling. Hover over some freight wax in your craft bag and see if it stutters for a second. Weird stuff going on.

    Frankly I agree, but *** it, just trying to hold out some hope. No other choice, I've already cancelled my subscription prior to Morrowind because I knew the game was going to get a whole new host of issues and that they wouldn't be addressed to the extent that they needed to be.
