is not UTC the same as GMT in practice.

Now, they moved the maintance from monday towards tuesday. This could also mean it is more then 4 hour.
But you're guess is as good as mine. We both don't know.
But don't look sad if it is 10 hours. We have seen it before, and even recently (2 week ago)
But the positive side is, Morrowind maintance took less then 5 hours (Whoop Whoop!)
They did say no maintenance this week ... right up until the time they did maintenance.
Take from that what you will.

Maintenance got moved this week because it was a national holiday in the US on Monday, Memorial Day, which is a holiday we use to recognize our fallen soldiers who died serving the US.
Hmm, if so they maybe should have told the forum people ... the headline was "no maintenance this week"
It drives me nuts they don't use GMT.
It's an international game that doesn't use a system specifically designed to communicate consistent times over different locations.

@Taylor_MB It looks like you're not well informed. GMT can be used with UTC (which is what ZOS is using). But the reason why they use UTC is because some GMT countries switch to different time zones in their daylight savings time, which defeats the purpose of 'consistency' as you mentioned. UTC IS the time standard, so technically you're wrong.

From Wikipedia "The first Coordinated Universal Time was informally adopted on 1 January 1960." The first I've ever heard about it was right now googling because of this thread, haha, I don't know how that happened.
So it's exactly the same as GMT? In which case I'm cool with this. Don't the same countries / regions still switch to daylight savings? So just as consistent... or same levels of inconsistent cause of GMT in regards to DLS.
