Every major update in practically every MMO drastically changes the current meta as people adjust to the changes.

And with every major update from every MMO, the response from the community is one of dismay and anger as the classes they spent months researching and perfecting for that current meta have changed.

And you know what usually happens a few weeks after the update? The theorycrafters who design the builds that a vast majority of players use (not everyone enjoys changing builds and running a statistical analysis on dps number...imagine that) come out with a new meta and everyone adjusts. And in a month's time, people are complaining about the game in the same way they were before the update.

Long story short: changes happen with every major mmo update, the community flips out and starts burning their furniture outside ZOS, and then the community adjusts and learns to play the new meta.

For most people, this will be a bump in the road, and for some this is a new opportunity for them to crunch the numbers and find new and innovative ways to be effective. It just depends on the person.

That's not the point. The point is we've tested this on PTS and provided feedback. It has been like this since forever. This patch will get rid of long term players, and while it will probably gain new ones, I doubt they will stay for so long. Many of the theorycrafters you have mentioned have already moved on to a different game. Changes do happen in every MMO, and it is true to ESO too, but this one will kill the game.

It's horrible. With the amount of feedback provided on PTS - ZOS is either deaf or dumb. Or both. Considering leaving the game now.

maybe its only me , but i\m under impression that zenimax doesnt care if any1 will play eso , they just selling eso and thats it, buy and go away , we dont want you on our severs - electricity is precious,

otherwise they would read bug reports , bot reports , cheats reports etc ..
many of guild masters were banned even perma just for doing what guild master do - why? because u can always purchase another copy , another copy is good

stable playerbase is bad for business they uses resources , casuals will buy and play dlc to dlc not everyday, loscust players are even better they will buy maybe they will install eso or not but definitelly they will provide preciouss positive feedback how good eso is to buy and play and how awesome zenimax

    vet players knows better ...

Summary: if no nerfs were released, battlegrounds and warden class were base game update, and Vvardenfell was dlc as it should be, priced no more than Orsinium - I would buy this dlc, or maybe even remain subscribed. But unfortunately real situation is...

I were on PTS, saw most of awful "balance" changes myself, saw dlc content and map which were not impressive for me to justify release model of this content + class which I didn't like. Only thing which would really interest me in this "chapter" was new trial, but not together with nerfs.

And nerfs came to live game 2 weeks earlier than they should :/

Only one funny thing I could do on PTS - always wanted to see Draugr polymorph with Duchess personality :D

As you see, this is in Wrothgar - even for free I didn't like Vvardenfell map enough to stay there. I rode around the island carefully to explore each corner of the land - Wrothgar may be a bit smaller on world map, but actually Vvardenfell has huge area that can't be accessed, and freedom of movement is severely restricted. Either inaccessible mountains, or lot of water areas :| I always thought Stonefalls map was the worst with lot of mountains... I no longer think so, cause after Vvardenfell Stonefalls feels so free :D

Look at all those mountains, and even those small water islands have lot of mountains too...

    Day 2:
I feel a little better, I played a few characters besides my poor little worthless mag nbs. I died so many times in PvP that I am starting to think my PvP days are coming to an end. The sad thing is I have been thinking about installing a different game just to see what other games are like.

    I still feel ike this:

I will reiterate. This is NOT a good update, and the game is going to suffer for it.

All because ZOS blatantly ignored the people that they asked to go test it, and just powered on ahead regardless.

    Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.

I'm really fkd off they couldn't release a working version of one major feature. Losing patients fast, beyond a joke at this point.

Honestly? I thought Homestead was as bad as it could get, hooboy did I ever eat crow.

Seriously, Battlegrounds are a 'who poisons first' battle, PVE got a baseball bat to it's kneecaps, and for what? The benefite of a few entitled hardcore players who think their needs and experience trump everyone else.

This update blows. I ain' inclined to buy Morrowind or anything else, until they fix this game, either by nerfing/editing the content to suit the current balance or throw us a bone sustain wise, or reverse course alltogether.

Then again, what do you expect from a company that asks for your opinion then hits you over and over whenever you try to give it? "Who the crap gave you permission to speak, player? Shut up and get back in the cash shop, and make us a sandwitch."

Im trying really hard to like this update despire first impression, but everytime i do an activity i get disappointed. As i have not yet figured what to do to avoid sustain problems, i spend most of my time doing heavy attack... i basically dont find it interesting.

Will keep trying for a while to adapt but not sure of the result.

    Pfft, Adapt.

Dude, go play something else, trust me, you'll thank yourself. This isn't worth adapting to.
