I think it should be separated. PVE content is completely stupid, we have to suffer boooooring PVE quest, skyshards, etc, etc just to play pvp, then we could have pvp oriented skills and sets, diferent servers, etc.

    Favorite Foods and Potions
    https://media.giphy.com/media/3otPoTggaYFNd1FdAI/giphy.gif
    • Parse Food for PvE:(DPS) Ghastly Eye Bowl (increases Max Magicka by 4592 and Magicka Recovery by 459 for 2 hours).
    • Gold/Purple Food for Sorc PvP and Meme Tanking:(PvP) Clockwork Citrus Filet (increases Max Health by 3326, Health Recovery by 406 [useful if stage 1 vampire], Max Magicka by 3080, and Magicka Recovery by 338 for 2 hours). Witchmother's Potent Brew (Increase Max Magicka by 2856, Max Health by 3094, and Magicka Recovery by 315 for 2 hours.
    • Trash Potions when feeling cheap: Regular CP150 Essence of Magicka pots that I obtain frequently from playing the game or Crown Tri-Restoration Potion obtained from dailies.
    • Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).

I don’t much like PvP, but since so many other people love it, I’m fine with its existence in ESO. All I want is for PvP and PVE, which are inherently different, to be balanced separately.

    Yes, because...
The strongest aspects of any game in The Elder Scrolls franchise are the lore, and the almost unique role playing freedom offered within these games. I believe that as a direct result of the focus that goes into PvP, the quality of the primary elements of the game are dwindling. I can cite the unequivocal fact that DLCs seem to be in a never ending decline in overall content provided. Take as an example the sheer size and content in previously released zones such as Craglorn and Wrothgar, and compare them to newer minuscule zones like Elsweyr.

To further prove my point, you can take a look at the now abandoned Imperial City. Countless hours of work went into what was a PvP focused zone and DLC that was unsurprisingly received with disdain, and shortly after abandoned by the ever disastisfied PvPers. To conclude with Imperial City, this zone should have been put to better use, like the advancement of the storyline(no ***).

Furthermore i'd like to mention how the vast majority of negative thread created on the forums are coming from the PvP end of the spectrum. Proving that PvP is not only toxic by nature, but ultimately creates an unhealthy atmosphere for a game that would have enourmous potential, were it not for the presence of PvP. The perpetual malcontent of the PvP community, despite the many efforts from the developers to refine that aspect of the game, is all the testament you need to understand that you can't please these people.

Essentially, PvP adds nothing but toxicity and it's detrimental to the overall quality of the game. The dev team should be focusing all its serources into PvE content and story telling which is what ultimately drives an MMORPG, and The Elder Scrolls as a whole.

Except, how many times has Zenimax seriously catered to PVP? Twice? IC and Battlegrounds? The rest are minor changes that take an ounce of the time, resources and effort that the PVE content takes. So the notion that PVP is causing the quality decline of PVE content is simply untrue, because the vast majority of resources are put into PVE content.

If you want to know why the quality of PVE content has been consistently declining over these years, look to the complacency of not only Zenimax, but the community, over that period of time. Look to the fact that they've been neglecting the technical side of the game (client & server performance, client & server stability, bugs, etc) over the past few years, in which case PVE is just as bad as PVP in end game content.

Look to the blatant prioritisation of short-term revenue generation of the crown store, over the long-term health of the game, and how they're perfectly fine with legitimately game-breaking bugs remaining in the game for years, but if the crown store is even slightly wonky, the servers are more often than not taken down immediately.

That's why the quality of PVE content has been consistently declining, not because of PVP, but because of the neglectful management over the game, and the complacency of all parties involved.
