For the love of everything, please add this. I have friends who are great players but their confidence has been stomped into the ground when it comes to combat because they're unable to see the color ques.

But it is already implemented, at least for ground telegraphs. I've been using it for months now. It's under Gameplay: Combat > Custom Colors. After turning them from red into (presumably) some sort of weird fluorescent neon purple-white, I can now actually see telegraphs on most grounds (except for Coldharbour, and I don't go there, so I don't really mind). I'm suddenly a much better player now that I can actually see stuff. ;)

Admittedly, it could be better. For Wildstar, there was a mod that made enemy telegraphs circle through the whole spectrum very rapidly... now THAT was helpful.

The only thing this doesn't work on at the moment is Axes in vAA. Layers of translucent pink stacked on every other player effect doesn't exactly make it easy to tell is/when an axe tries to get away.

A pulse option like @eklhaftb16_ESO mentions would be outstanding, or an outline (similar to what tab target does).
Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...

@eklhaftb16_ESO Perhaps better wording was needed. I was referring to what everyone else has been complaining about in this thread.

As for the rest, that looks pretty neat!

Sounds like an odd request, huh, considering the game has been out for some time now. I was hoping something like this would eventually find its way into the game, or someone else would mention it so I didn't have to, but that time has passed.

Any way, we were doing vDSA last night. On round 3, you know the one. Red poison AoE on the swamp (green grass) when I die. My team mates telling me to quit standing in stupid, and here I am wondering what the **** they're talking about. I've done vDSA several times. I know there's poison, but I just couldn't see the stupid ground circle. I rarely do, but I'm usually good at staying on tank (I main a healer), so I don't have to worry about it.

This got me thinking of all the occasions where there are issues for me (and other people who have my type of colorblindness), like Fungal Grotto or in vMoL with the Sun Eaters on certain encounters within the trial.

So this is my plight, ZoS, please implement some sort of colorblind mode to help the millions of people who suffer from this.

I'm hoping I'm not the only one.

Have you not tried playing with the telegraph colors in options? You can control the color amd intensity of friendly allie effects and enemy aoe and negative effects

Um, you need colors to tell you that...YOU ARE STANDING IN FIRE?

Your health-bar is the best tool you have to know when you get damaged. Color or not..if its going down, move...

I....don't think you fully understand how ridiculous that sounds. You don't want to be IN the damage circle and thus, it usually has a color of your choice to show you where the ground aoe is. The poison in the stage he is referring to actually grows. If you can't see that AOE grow, before you know it, you are dead. You don't want to be standing in it at all.

There are also several different kinds of color blindness. Someone who has one type of colorblindness can see the growing aoe ring but another can not. It also depends on where it is so a ring growing in the yellow sand may stand out more than a ring growing in green grass. Catch the drift? And men are more likely to be color blind than women and men make up a lot of the player base so there should be an option in the game mode to adjust colors for color blind players.

I adjusted the red ground aoe into bright yellow although I'm not colorblind. It helps me distinguish the telegraph ground aoe (now in bright red) from certain effects that are red and green and otherwise become invisible when mixed in the with red aoe

useful for instance when tanking vSP HM and vFL HM

You can change the color of enemy damage indicators like ground AOEs in the game. Have you tried that? Perhaps change it to a color you can see better?

I am looking forward to this change. In my old WOW days I used a great add on called GTFO. I haven’t found anything similar for this game. Gave a visual and audio alert when you were standing in stupid.

As someone with a mild form of deuteranopia (a type of red-green-colour"blindness") I have been there too. DSA hasn't bothered me as much as the lamia stage in MA. Since my condition isn't that severe simply knowing that there is something I need to look out for was enough for me to notice. People would always tell me to change the enemy colours to something else, but that can also be problematic (as well as ugly), so that's no option for me personally.

Wow, talk about a necro thread...

There's a setting under "Combat" where you can change the color of harmful and helpful effects. I'm not colorblind myself, but I was getting tired of not seeing the faint red circles on the ground when there was fire/lightning/frost effects everywhere. I solved this by making the "harmful" AoE color a hot pink. Yes it takes away from game immersion, but at least I'm not standing in stupid anymore...

I'm colorblind as well and have the same exact issue. I literally cannot see red AOE's on certain ground colors/textures. Some that I have noticed specifically are the final boss of elden hollow 1, kragh's large AOE in fungal 1 (however I have run that enough now that I can tell by the visual que of his attack animations), and the worst of all: Stage 7 in vMA. When a plant is popping, I literally cannot see the AOE circle. THIS HAS PREVENTED ME FROM EARNING FLAWLESS CONQUEROR. I'VE GONE 14/15 WITH NO ISSUES ON ANY ROUND OR MECHANIC BESIDES THIS SPECIFIC ONE. PLEASE, IF ANYTHING, JUST GIVE US A TOGGLE color FOR AOE INDICATORS.

This can be extremley frustrating at times, especially when it causes a wipe on an otherwise easy dungeon/trial. This is some serious neglect of an issue that could be solved in moments by ZoS, and released along with any incremental patch.

@ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom Could you guys PLEASSSEEE relay this to someone on the dev team? PLEASE!

You can now adjust the color of enemy and friendly AOEs without any add-ons! Check the combat settings.

Thread locked! Necro-be-gone. As mentioned, the general issue is currently solved by current in-game features. If addressing another, more specific issue, we would suggest making a new topic that better outlines the subject.
