Back in late 2008/early 2009 there was a super salty 0331 Sergeant named usmcjdking stationed on Parris Island as a Combat Weapons Instructor, biding time for OCS. There, he pug-wrangeled everyday for 7 months.
It's a throwback. Not one I particularly want to deal with day in and day out, but it's fun in moderation. Too many memories of it being 4 AM trying to teach a bunch of kids who know ****-all about squad/platoon weapons about things they can't even understand. Worst idea in the history of TECOM. But it was still an amazing opportunity I had a lot of fun with.
Point being as follows: the older you get, the more appreciation you have for the simpler things like fun. Soloing/small grouping can be fun at times, but it can also be frustrating. Its more of a showcase of skill than anything else, and some people (myself included) don't care enough. Instead of trying to make myself have more fun doing something I am clearly being frustrated with, I simply change up the gameplay. Fun is contagious - if I can make 15 people have a great time then by virtue of that I will have a great time.Edited by usmcjdking on March 28, 2017 6:53PM0331

As soon as I made E-5, they took away the binos and made me pug wrangle 0341's... at 29 Palms... in the heat. lol
I thought that was bad. Then I made E-6 and taught water survival as an 8563 at Camp Johnson. I promise you: Neither the "private Washington's" (hopefully you get that) nor MCCSSS understood it. lol
As for ESO, our group in RoB started with 4 wranglers in QDove, and yes... we appreciate what TD is doing. But no... we do not miss it.
