Do you prefer ZoS to focus on fixing bugs or to invest more in Morrowind?

I just wonder what would the community prefer. Seeing the amount of new bugs since Homestead, adding to many of unresolved older ones. After one month since the patch hit (and several maintainances) it's pretty safe to say ZoS is in no hurry to fix them. I assume like many others that they are focused on new expansion instead.

I don't put third option on purpose, because it's obvious all of us prefer to have bugs fixed and new expansion developed to its best, but it's apparent that this is too much to ask for.

I was thinking of making a similar post.

obviously they have invested in morrowind- but I for one - would be satisfied if they delayed the release of morrowind for 3 months to just focus on technical issues. currently the state of the game is unacceptable.

I would prefer they harden their infrastructure before even thinking about releasing an xpack, after they beef it up then bug fixing, which has come a long way but is a never ending battle. then drop the xpack.

My guess would be they have two (at least two) separate teams working on different projects. Trouble shooting code takes a different skill set than designing code so I doubt many people would go back and forth on the two.

I could be wrong though I suppose. I often am.

I would prefer that they actually fix what's broken before adding more content (i.e. new expansion). Adding a new expansion will just compound the problem. Fixing what's broken now, like the servers always coming down, would be great. I mean, how are we going to enjoy the expansion if the servers are always coming down?

Silly question/poll. They should do both. PERIOD.

It's not an either or and it's highly unlikely they will have 1 team doing both.

At a guess their production support team will be working on bug fixes and performance issues while their new content team will be neck deep in morrowind (and probably bitching no end about merging the homestead code in)

not so to the above poster- different teams but theyre using the same money. somewhere - someone , likely a line producer and post producer is having a meeting - saying:
'should we invest more x money in infrastructure repair- , i.e hire another 2 IT guys or should we get more designers on the morrowind update cos we re falling behind on the texture mapping for that vivec zone"

    or its

"hey lighting is looking good- we re ahead on that- we can move a couple of coders to another department - do we need more DT's or do we get more guys to work on the login coding?"

i know because i do the same job in a similar digital entertainent industry.
they have this deadline in their minds and out in the public that they have to hit- I think if Zos see this- see what the consumer wants- they might feel compelled to reprioritise - and see where the real focus should be.

Different teams do different things. I'd prefer the content team to focus on Morrowind and the technical team to focus on fixes.

if they fixed what is broken instead of fixing what isn't, they would spend their time more constructively, i think.

Some of those bugs are like 2 years old (or more)... and the more stuff ZOS puts into the game... the more bugs they have to fix... so sooner or later they will have to fix them or else the game will fall apart... :#

Stupid poll. They have multiple teams so they can do both. Issue with some bugs is they aren't always easy to replicate so they go unfixed because they can't reproduce it.

Honestly I don't feel so. I actually believe the team who codes Group Finder, for example, is the same team who will fix its code. (Will they?)

History repeats itself. No: Zenimax will not stop focusing on Morrowind. Just as they didn't fix the bugs before TG-patch. Or before DB-patch. They'll keep releasing new stuff & adding more bugs.

    Always happens.

2 separate things two separate teams... Maybe some crossover as in any workplace.

I guarantee you ZeniMax is working hard to address these issues that come up from time to time and personally, I think they do a good job of addressing bugs (with the exception of a couple that have been around since launch) and the team building Morrowind will give us a great fan service chapter.

Do what I do, play 2 MMO's... Make one your primary, ESO in my case, and one your back up when ESO is down, BDO is my back up MMO.

It isn't a big deal, get used to bugs, they are in every MMO.

    Good question.
If Morrowind is going to be built upon existing ESO and server, then fix it first.
But I doubt they know how to fix it tbh. Otherwise would have been fixed long ago.
If can't fix it, please build morrowind from scratch, ground up, different servers?

Morrowind is coming like it nor not, i want they to fix the game first but that dont cound for zos so yeah let them use all the time they can get into morrowind cause there will be sooo much new glitches and bugs with that release. for me it seems that zos cant fix the game, if they try they just broke a new thing.....
Still a grudge, only to see false what u want and nothing less.
