Something is very wrong with new group finder

It keeps saying I got a team, whenever I press F immediately say the group is canceled.

It is fast to find a new group, many times less than 1 minute.
However, I have been asked to press F to ready over 20 times today.
None of these 20 times makes me go to dungeon successfully.

Is it prompting you to press F to say you are ready to go to the dungeon?

Do you have an addon such as No Thank You installed that could be interfereing with the prompt?

If F is pressed fast enough after the notification you can see 3 of the positions randomly light up but never all 4 and then it says group is not viable. You can do this over and over and always only 3 of the icons light up, never all 4.

OMG I'm having the same trouble, I sign up for vet FG and I get either "your regular dungeon is ready" and "group is not viable" or "your veteran dungeon is ready" and "group is not viable" over and over and over. And I mean immediately after the other. And I can't get into a single dungeon. Something is seriously broken here.

Its not working, keep saying Group Check Cancelled Group is not viable..

lol, I am confirming every time when it prompts.

I have queued for Veteran Dungeon and its saying me Your Tank Role is ready in Normal Dungeon..

If it is that fast to find a group I wonder if it is doing proper role checking. If not it is probably forming up without a tank or healer and immediately failing when it checks.

Holy crap really. I just got back from a cancelled sub because of broken group finder and it is broken again. Which was also from a previous cancellation due to it being broken before that. Good thing I am not a manager over at ZOS as my recruiting manager would be hating me for clearing out a QA/QC, Dev, and testing team. Sigh guess this means I wont be subbing up unless we see a less than 24 hour fix.

Does someone remember how they broke the scaling for normal dungeons for a whole week?

They have a 3 yr old track record of ALWAYS screwing up the group finder whenever they make changes to it. Often it takes them months to get it working again.

Currently its fully broken and not forming any groups!

Should be priorty rather then taking a month

I did try and was able to get right in with my tank. Haven't tried with a dps yet though but I didn't get the "invalid group" issue this time. Thanks Gina!

I did try with a DPS and was successful.

It was also a daily first random and I got the XP and rewards as expected.

So new problem, I was able to cue and it formed the team and took us to the dungeon it had selected at random, then all of us got the "removing from area" message before we even started. We got knocked out of the Dungeon but were still in group and then nothing else, we were all stuck, the group disbanded, I went to reque and had the 15 min wait.

Yes, I can confirm what pero said. I just completed a dungeon (Volenfell), and after the group disbanded, it was formed again right away with the same players, and the message "You have joined a group for Volenfell".

Also, I'd like to add there's one thing I dislike about the new group finder: I don't get to see the dungeon name and group composition anymore before I get ported into the dungeon.

Depending on the role I play, I leave the group immediately when it's e.g. White-Gold Tower with three level 10-20 players.

Before, I could just press "Leave group" and carry on with what I was doing before. Now, I have to wait until the dungeon is loaded, leave the group, wait until the "Removing from area" timer runs out, and wait until the previous area is loaded again.

Why did you make this change? It worked much better before.

@ZOS_GinaBruno Whatever fix you implemented does not fix the problem of no rewards being given for random dungeon completions. No XP. No mail. Nothing.

Edit: This was with a preformed group. And done minutes prior to this post, so well after you told us to try again.

I have used the dungeon finder around 5 times since the change and it has been working fine (Got the rewards as well).

Just one thing though: during one of those dungeons I kept getting a notification for a group to be formed even though I was already in one.

Have people been getting replacement members OK? In one dungeon the healer left right away, so I did Find Replacement, and in an hour of looking we did never get a replacement. This then happened again later, but I left after a few minutes as could not be bothered to wait around again. Not sure if that's a bug but never usually have a drama getting replacements as I'm the tank, so the 'rarest' role to fill.

Also, Group Finder worked a lot better before in terms of quickly seeing what dgn had popped. This seems like ZOS made a change for the hell of it, then broke stuff and worsened functionality. Still, that's pretty much their MO I guess.

and when i queued for normal dungeon, it was a vet's one which pop. and once again it said : "ready check canceled, group is not viable"

I sorta like that it considers a viable group instead of leaving you hanging but I fear it's just a placebo.

Still an issue. Things to note:

When I am by myself and queue for a random dungeon, I can successfully form a group and enter the instance.
When I am grouped with someone else, or with 3 others, and we queue for a random or a specific dungeon, we see the message "Expires in . " (Yes, that is correct, the expiration time is missing, and only the "." is present.) Our group then disbands.

Also to note: My boyfriend, however, cannot form a group when he is by himself- same issue, "Expires in . ", then automatically disbands.

Also get 1k ping spikes every time we press F to confirm.

There seems to be a -serious- issue with the new group finder and No, thank you. It causes notifications at a insane rate.
