Ideas for ESO Plus

I'd actually really enjoy this, with an added idea to it. Either an exclusive reward created for quarterly items, or the option to pick a previous crown store item within a certain price bracket. I know there are a lot of mounts and outfits, etc., that people would love to see make a return. And this would both give players incentive to purchase ESO+ because of the chance to get that coveted item they missed a chance at.
Back in the day, Ultima Online used to give you a choice of yearly anniversary rewards. Many of them were similar, but it also gave players a choice. In ESO's case, it could be introducing different mounts ("e.g. "Choose between the Tiger-Striped Sench or the Snow Leopard-Senche"). Each year adds a different option or two, perhaps one is a dark banded guar, doom guar, etc. Things that keep in line with the existing options but play up to the game's themes.

How about length of service rewards? So for example, if you have been subbed for one year you get reward/mount. Two years a better reward/mount. Three years an even better reward/mount etc.

This would encourage long term subbing, reward those of us who have continued to sub since launch, and also not lock out new subscribers from achieving said rewards.

While not directly relating to ESO+ benefits, I'd like to see you guys become less stingy about certain things in-game since we now need to spend a small fortune in order to access the majority of the game's content (yes, I'm including cosmetic items and mounts). We have a base price, expansions, DLC, ESO+, an expansive crown store, AND the heretical gambling crates. Since you're breaking the game's content into so many different categories and making us pay for ALL of them to get a complete experience, how's about you lighten up and throw us some extra bag/bank slots, or stop creating store-only motifs, or take the ridiculous pricing on certain items down a few notches (someone was in an altered state of mind when they decided on that Elk Mount price).

I just read in another thread that when your sub lapses your crafting mats are now sent from your bag to your inventory? I'm still waiting to see if more people back up the claim and determine its truthfulness, but if that is the case, you guys really are becoming desperate to push people to spend money. Someone needs to have a sit down with whoever is making these changes in order to squeeze more money out of us, because you can only squeeze a sponge for so long before it dries up. The good will of the community is rapidly drying up, as we're all too busy trying to decide what features/content we can and can't live without in order to have a complete ESO experience without going broke.

Alright I'll throw out some ideas in no particular order.
    • Reduced repair costs.
    • Have +10% gold drops also affect other currencies (Tel Var and AP, for example).
    • Rotating sales on Crown Store items. (Nothing huge, maybe 10% off.)
    • Access to "discontinued" Crown Store items.
    • Faster wayshrine price cooldown.
    • Exchange Crowns for Crown Gems.

Things I don't want to see as ESO Plus benefits:
    • More tempers from any source. (Improve the drop rates overall or don't touch them.)
    • Any sort of lottery. (ESO Plus should not upset the gold economy.)
    • Transmog system. (Needs to be a general service, not an exclusive.)
    • Increased storage. (Craft Bag is already a huge bonus in this vein.)
    • Higher fencing cap. (As lottery, above.)
    • Anything else that should be a game-wide change.

They remain in your bag and can be taken out/used as normal, but you can't put anything into the bag until you resubscribe.

I like the idea of some sort of scheduled loyalty reward system. I liked it when we had it before and I didn't understand why it went away.

The only thing I ask is that if it were to be implemented again, please let the rewards be exclusive to subs only. It would be very disheartening and ruin the whole thing if I get a loyalty reward and then next year that reward is for sale in the crown store to all.

My favorite things that I have in this game are my monkey and my striped senche. Not everyone has them and when I see someone who does I know what it means. If I know my loyalty rewards will end up for sale next season then they are not loyalty rewards at all, just some item I got before everyone else.
  • UniversalHealthcare
    Armor stands/Mannequins for housing.

I seen someone suggest access to bankers/merchants too. That would be one hell of a perk.

Maybe a passive that you get if you have rested/are in your home. Along the lines of even faster research times or anything alone those lines of thought.

Honestly I'd be happy with the loyalty perks coming back and a discount on buying crowns / discount on crownshop items. You're already getting money out of me, ESO, make it worth my while to spend even more money.

    1. Try to somehow curb the lag and loading screens.
    2. Let us research up to 10 items at once. Research takes so long and it would be nice too if we could research two traits in the same category at once (i.e. 2 things for robe and jerkin)
    3. Increase the drop rate for things like Nirn for alchemy writs. I have such a hard time finding it anywhere but guild stores. Things that are hard to find need to have a higher drop rate.
    4. Even though they're called dailies, I think that should change. I hate being behind on writs because it's part of how I fund things. Let us be able to grind writs. Like we accept 7 a day, that covers us for the week if we were to miss a day or two

All in all, I love this thread and I wish I could say yes to everything that's been suggested. What a great thread :)

Make the quarterly DLCs/Paid for Content (which ESO+ gets as part of their sub) actually happen on time and make the content decent and worth while, not some random couple of dungeons - give us story, gear, skills. That's all you need to do.

Then make sure the expacs/chapters are really big and amazing, so they don't feel like they're detracting from the DLCs.

Loyalty Rewards. Crown Crate(s) per month. Reduced or removed Wayshrine costs. Crown store discounts.

Absolutely nothing that provides a mechanical advantage (and I feel the Wayshrine cost reduction is pushing it).

If you're going to persist with the Crown Crates you could give ESO+ subs a couple each month, though I personally think they should also be acquirable in game in some way, perhaps as a rare drop from Daily Quests. It might even help promote them and get people hooked. That's what we want right? For people to get addicted to their gambling nature so they spend more money than they otherwise would? Well this will help.

I'll be honest I haven't read the whole thread - too much stuff was obviously pay 2 win, and as a non-subscriber I got triggered ;)

Some great ideas straight away. A free crate or two is a bit like a loyalty reward. A bag for furniture nicely expands the current subscriber perks. Having the option to map CP setups so you can simply change role would be awesome.

Simple requests for increased bag space or better RNG are objectionable, (would make it difficult to unsub, or just an obvious pay to win rather than play to win).

Here are some of my ideas.

An assistant who can provide all the daily quests - if you unsub you loose access to the assistant, and this assistant can only be used by you individually.

Customise assistants - allow subers to apply their "appearance" collections to their assistants - so instead of all those identical bankers we would see some in wedding suits, some in xivkyn polymorphs, some that aren't bald.

Put wayshrines in many of the mini-zones you access through quests and add the zone borders to the map of tamriel. This would make the world bigger for subscribers, and allow the most loyal fans to go back and check on Stirk, Fulstrom homestead or even the valley of the blades. This idea would be best with a little bit of work (e.g. stirk wouldn't have the alliance leaders), so perhaps this could also be sold through the crown store.

p.s. a sincere thankyou to all subscribers for supporting the game, I hope you get somethings that reward you (without taking too much away from the many freeloaders who make the game feel alive).

I'm pleased and hopeful, seeing you asking us for suggestions - it sounds like you're looking for something to add that players really want. Here are my suggestions:

The ability to transmogrify any dropped armour (including monster sets) to any known motif - as long as the crafter has the style mat in the bag. Currently, the dropped sets are making the motifs obsolete, and everyone is running around in the basic few styles or wearing costumes. My master crafter (and all-round know-it-all!) knows all styles and has all style mats. It could also be made to work with mimic stones to generate more CS sales.

Hair dyeing - like costume dyeing only for hair! More variety is the spice of life. Sometimes I just want matching hair!

Trait change token - or something similar that is in a finite quantity so would need to only be used sparingly. We often do a lot of hard work only to get the helm we want in the weight we want and 'prosperous'. :P

Loyalty rewards - I'd love to see these back. I took time out back at the start and missed out on the tiger which I am still kicking myself for. Again, more variety, spice, etc. :)
RIP Atherton, my beautiful little gentle friend. I will miss you forever. Without you I am a hollow shell.

Exclusive to ESO+ subs? Some of these wishlists are WEIRD.

I'm warming up to the "choose one item from a list each month" ideas though. Ie: riding lessons, crates, crown gems, exp scrolls etc. It's basically a way of increasing the amount of Crowns we get each month while also avoiding the issue of players stockpiling them for expensive items and collector's edition DLC bundles. It also means players who are opposed to even free Crates get alternatives.

I think we have to be careful not to cross over into PTW territory.

I wouldn't mind having extra character slots with my paid subscription.

I also like the idea of the return of loyalty rewards.

A flat rate discount in the crown store for crown items would be nice. It's frustrating to get 1500 crowns and see the mount you want sell for 1800. 20% off would be amazing. I would probably feel rather meh about 10% though.

I don't want to lose the 1500 crowns a month we get now though. I like being able to buy what I want with them.

I hope this is just to supplement what we are already getting. I think people would be upset if anything was removed.

    --A Cyrodiil campaign that's subscriber-only
--Loyalty rewards returning, as others have said (honestly don't understand why you dropped those in the first place)
    --Better odds fishing
--Sneak peeks of upcoming content above and beyond what is released to the general public (a letter from an NPC in the in-game mailbox, say, or a Motif page from an upcoming DLC)
--Something like a Guild Trader that only subscribers can list items on (naturally everyone should be able to buy)
--A chat channel for subscribers only
--A wishlist that will, once a month, grant an item of your choice (for all the vMSA runners trying to get that Sharpened piece). Item should be Bind on Pickup if it's equipment.
--Discounted equipment from vendors (including Telvar, AP vendors, etc.)
--A percentage off material costs when crafting (say 25% - so that CP 160 item will only take 75 Rubedo Leather instead of 100)
--Earlier access to limited time offers

Couldn't read through the whole thread, sorry for repeating is someone else has suggested the same thing.

    1. I liked how the Hollow City filled up and became more interesting alive. It would be nice to have some place in the game, other than housing, where your experience of the game is based on your progress with that character. The place, wherever it is, is accessible to all players. It just looks cooler and is more functional if you have more achievements in major areas (exploration, crafting, trophies).

This could be done with a single area, a particular space, or it could be suite of enhancements that become available in many places. The bottom line is seeing the world change in some way over time based on your investment in playing. As for how his fits into ESO+, simply add a little more to the enhanced setting that is otherwise unavailable.

    2. Adding a chance to get double drops on zone-based set loot. Kill a boss or destroy an anchor, you might get two set pieces instead of one. If this chance were set at 20%, it would mean getting done with gear grinding a little faster. Spending four hours instead of five on such a grind isn't an unfair advantage, but for people who may only have 10-20 hours per week to play the game it can make a big difference. RNGesus doesn't like some of us.

    3. Extra savings on periodic Crown Store sales. It's been makes down from 3000 Crowns to 1500 Crowns, but for you ESO+ member it's 1000 Crowns.

The ability to unbind x number of bind-on-pickup items per month to sell in guild stores. Yes, even monster set items. PvE is an absolute bore to me. Yawn.

1 200% XP boost scroll per month. At least 1hr stackable with XP drinks & event buffs.

Unlimited Undaunted daily quests from Bolgrul.

Honestly my biggest drag on gaming is *inventory management*. With 8 characters, I'm logging back and forth trying to find out where I stowed inventory (like dungeon/overland sets I am trying to complete, jewelry of various levels, surveys & treasure maps - today I even use a spreadsheet to keep track).

A great ESO+ quality of life benefit would be a drastically increased bank size. Or a "locker" I could summon from various alts to store stuff in.

Size that is something so large, I no longer "park" gear on characters, who fully upgraded almost have as much inventory as my bank. Like 1,000 inventory.

Cooldown reduction on horse upgrade .

Special discounts on Crown Store . We already pay , yes ? Shouldn't we get some special offers since we are loyal ?

    Bank space !

    Extra Guild slots .

Biggest of all , whatever you are planning please don't include anything that is combat related . I trust that you are not going to make this game a P2W but just a reminder since I am sure there are some comments that suggests stuff that will cause issues regarding this topic .
