Nope this is the first for me. Doesn't mean I don't feel *** on. 2 years is a long time to play one game and many have been playing for much longer. I love ESO but I don't like ZOS. WE PAY FOR THIS GAME. I think we should all sack ZOS and start taking interviews for a better developer LoL. Afterall what have they done but expand on the genius of Bethesda's elder scrolls? Theyre in it for the money. Not the lore or the gaming experience IMO. Just the money, and they're preying on the best of us. The Elder scrolls fanatics who are desperately trying to keep this game alive.
Of course they're in it for the money... if they weren't than there would be no game and their stock holders would find people who would be in it for money...
People like to romanticize video games, but if they weren't making any money, there would be no game... Bethesda and ZOS or any company for that matter isn't in the video game business for the lore... if they aren't making money trust me ESO would no longer be an option so this would solve a lot of the QQing, since that game would cease to exist
If they're getting as much money out of me as they are everyone else then it's blatant greed and disrespect to loyal customers. I've been with my mobile phone company for years and I get a better deal every year for my loyalty. What does ESO do for ESO+ loyalists? Very little content for months and then slapped in the face with content we have to pay for. It's not on.
OMG People - Please - Learn to read what I actually post and not just look at the freaking picture.
I KNOW that Morrowind is an "Expansion" and not part of the DLC terms. I've said this multiple times now... *sighs*
What I DO have issue with, is the express statement of their definition of DLC. It clearly states that ALL DLC is avalable via crowns or cash purchase to ALL members of ESO+.
Now....please bare with me, I know words are hard to read and not as easy as pictures....
If I DO NOT buy Morrowind - that is my choice and absolutely fine. HOWEVER!! And this is the important bit folks....
When they DO release further DLC in the crown store, this means that as a ESO+ member - I am legally entitled to it as it IS DLC.
But as I haven't bought Morrowind - I can NOT access it. Even though their own terms and conditions expressly state I can.
Therefore, I'm complaining about the fact Morrowind has become a Paywall to DLC for ESO+ Subscribers.
How do you know you won't be able to access it? Future DLC probably won't have anything to do with Vvardenfell.

He doesnt know. But right now i would probably say it is a valid concern. They are calling it a new. chapter... so what comes next will either be in the same chapter, or the next chapter... both would seem to fall outside the eso+ membership.

WoW charges 60$ per pop and a sub model.
40$ for an Elk??? Done
40$ for a new zone, class, battlegrounds, dungeons and trial?... BLASPHEMY!!!!
Sorry, but I am sure most of us spend that much a month on coffee. I am an ESO+ member since the game was released on PC.
$40 for an Elk??? Done. What are you saying? Find me one person that thinks the elk was priced fairly. Don't come in here saying that like anyone was okay with it. People aren't complaining about the price. They are complaining about ESO+ benefits.
I am comparing the two. I see lots of Elks. I didn't buy it because I think it was terrible and overpriced. But look at the market. Look at other MMO's and costs, and the sub models.
We do not even know all the details. @ZOS_GinaBruno even posted that more details were coming. All the drama queens and tin foiled hat wearing fools need to calm down and see what happens. I am hoping ESO+ subs get something. I have been one. But I am not going to sit here and freak out about it.
If you have been subbed this entire time and NEVER had to pay for a DLC. Now you finally do and its so terrible?

you kinda missed the point of why people are angry about this.
its not the fact we have to pay, but rather the fact WE have been paying and WERE promised ALL future content by subbing.
Should also point out you shouldnt even bother quoting what the sub description says on the account side of things as that was "edited" with maintenance.

We still have more information to come from Zos. That is my point. Everyone has torches and are ready to unsub and leave. Wait until you get more information. Or better yet, stop subbing for 3 months, put your 40$ aside and buy the xpac come June.
I totally understand why people are salty and angry, but we do not even have all the info and everyone is freaking out.

What ESO should have done would have been to offer the expansion to ESO+ members at a reduced rate. That might prevent ESO+ members from canceling and using the money saved to buy the expansion, right? I canceled my subscription last year because the wording of what the DLC was came off too much like I was about to get ripped off (gut feeling). I have no problems paying for the DLC's that I want and I have saved hundreds of dollars so far.
MasterSpatula wrote: »There's a tacit agreement that my sub entitles me to all new content. That's what I'm paying for.
I think they're swimming in dangerous legal waters here.
ESO Plus explicitly includes access to DLC. The fact that they've slapped a different label on this expansion doesn't change what it is.
Lodge a complaint with your local consumer protection agency. Or cancel your sub for long enough to cover the cost of the expansion.

Now, is that all future ESO DLCs or all future DLCs including Morrowind DLCs? Because there is a distinct possibility that they will release DLC's targeted for specific games ESO vs Morrowind. Would it make a whole lot of sense to release a Clockwork City DLC outside of Morrowind? Sure it's possible, but I could see them adding separate DLCs. Further, ESO+ will get DLCs for free on both, so it won't matter to subscribers... not until the next 'chapter' is released- probably in another two or three years.
