This types of things are usually just a UI error. Rapids is a common one, also had burning (the fire DoT). It's effects should not be applying to you, just showing on debuff list.

As a representative of EP I can safely say that we have an alliance specific poison that prevents enemy alliances from having decent resource management ever again..

    Ever.

Sadly it was applying to me, even after death, it wasn't until I logged off and then logged back in (power cycled console) that it was removed. So it wasn't a UI error, it was someones hack

    No, it's an UI error.
I've seen it happen multiple times in PvP and PvE. Heck, I've even had my own Grothdarr proc stay on my Character Sheet (but no effect in-game) until I rezoned, when it bugged out like that once during a vICP run.

Also - when you bring accusations of "hacks" like that it is on YOU to bring proof. Show ability tooltip before, then after while you think you are constantly affected by the said "hack". *rolls eyes*
In this particular case it would be extremely easy and accessible for you to provide proof.

Otherwise you just sound like you come from the 15th century where you would shout WITCH!!! at every corner while wielding your pitchfork/torch (take your pick).

    smh.

    Ever.

I though't ep players were already poison to the game themselves?

Magicka poisons are probably the best poison to combat the meta these days. These poisons help empty magicka builds tanks quickly and prevent stamina builds from using their utility/resource sustain abilties. Stam sorcs and dks are practically useless if they cant use dark deal or igneous shield/spiked Armour in my opinion.

Wow, someone doesn't understand that bringing issues like this to the community is the RIGHT thing to do.
I know it was not a UI error as my spells in fact cost double while it was in effect, swallow soul which should have been around 800+ was costing over 1700 magicka. Casting SAP drained resources in 4 casts, it was not UI. Here's an idea, maybe just maybe give someone the benefit of the doubt that perhaps they tested it especially when they come back and say its NOT a UI error after someone already said it was.

As to providing proof, I am pretty sure I am not behoove to you to share that proof especially when it shames a player (and in this case a group as the specific perp could not be indentified), a report was submitted. I could have posted an xbox clip here but at this point all I know is that it was an ebonheart opponent, not specifically which of the group it was that applied the poison, and in addition it wasn't until my second or third charge into that group that had me inspecting my character to find out what was up.

I play DC, I play EH, I play AD, fairly certain no one was crying and pitchforks are certainly not in fashion. I think using a bit of decorum would go farther than bashing on someone for reporting that something like this is actually out there.

snarky maybe and for that I apologize *rolls eyes*, but if someone is abusing a game mechanic they are effectively 'hacking' the system to their benefit. Oh and perhaps I should also inform you since I am apparently responsible for your knowledge on the subject I was not the only one that experienced that effect after facing that same group nor the only person to have reported it.

Yes it *is* up to you to bring these matters to attention but if you didn't want to just spew nonsense and sound like a madman/woman then you *should* have provided proof. Showing tooltip value/resource drain over the course of a long time (past the timer on the poison) would have not name-shamed anyone.

Anyone can yap all day claiming all kinds of nonsense.Just because you say it so, doesn't make it true and yes, it is on you to bring proof if you think you have found a bug.

And no - I will not give you the benefit of the doubt - why would I blindly believe what you say? You are not being accused here so that doesn't fly. You just have to provide proof, especially when you start shouting "hacks". It is the proper thing to do when bringing a bug to the public.
Obviously you don't have to convince me of anything, but I *am* going to say what I believe and that is that you're taking nonsense unless you show some facts. Especially since, FACT, I have seen this UI error happen multiple times but no effect to actual gameplay.

If you didn't want these types of responses then maybe you shouldn't have made a forum thread (especially in the fashion you made it) and just stuck to the bug report you submitted.
