Overcrowded Servers

2ndcovenant_ESO
I have been playing eso since day one release and for the most part I have been enthralled by the game. It has gotten better and better in almost every aspect.

Since One Tamriel was released, however, I can easily get to the character select screen and submit which character I want to play to the server... only to be told that either the server has timed out or an error has occurred. I work from early afternoons until 11 pm at night so I am not trying to log in during "peak" hours. I am trying to play between midnight and four am EST. I try to log on for hours since this is pretty much my go to for relaxation time and to de-stress from work and yet I can't get on in the wee hours of the morning because the servers are so full of players that even when I do get in, on the rare chance, I catch lag like crazy from all of the players in Grahtwood's capital.

I have comcast business class and I have 100Mbps download and 20 upload and my video card is top notch and I have 32Gb of ram on this computer, so it is Not my rig or my internet speed. I also do not have processes going on in the background causing this issue.

I have been an eso plus member for months and months. I am a master crafter and I have been learning traits literally around the clock. I have my phone set with an app to tell me, "hey, a trait is finishing in an hour, are you ready???". I have quite a few traits at 9 already but still have plenty to go. I have invested a lot of time and money into this game and now,... I can't get a character in to play it. I also am a member of four of the best trading guilds in the game... guilds which require that I earn money and actually play the game every week or I get booted from the guilds. I would love to oblige them but once again... I can barely get in or play.

Please.... do something about the servers. I love the game but if I can't play there is no use in being a part of the community or game anymore.

Sounds like a problem with your internet connection if you are having problems logging in. I've pretty much no lifed this game for the last 2 months and haven't had any of the issues you are describing.

As for the grahtwood problem, you dont have to stay there and I'd rather lose a few frames then have a game where the cities are dead.

Try logging off somewhere else other than Elden Root and see if that makes a difference

Your problem has nothing to do with overcrowded servers on PC NA. No one in my guild has this issue. Period.

It sounds like an issue on your end with your connection, PC, etc.

I think Elden Root is perhaps the worst place to log-on and log-off in. Large numbers of people and the overall architecture in the area really slows things to a crawl if you do manage to get in.

I'd suggest logging at any other wayshrine nearby, then if you absolutely need to go to Elden Root, you should just run there, imo.
