People exploiting AP for emperorship

I made a post about 2 days but it got taken down by mods because I used a players name and I didn't know that you cannot do that. I wanted to point this out in a broad generalization as unspecific as I can. I play on PS4 and there are several people in particular that primarily hold emperorship and keep it all the time as long as they have the maps in their favor. These people are always on 1st place in the leaderboards and I am fully aware of exactly how they are operating. For example they do things like getting a gathering of people that they know and they kill them near a resource and then they get a huge defensive tick plus the amount of AP from them killing them. They will stay in a group all day long and then disappear to go and "check on something" so they can boost themselves in 1st place. I know because I have watched them do it at a distance.

Now that I have got that off my chest without naming any names I would like to see people like this get their accounts temporarily suspended if one of us decides to report them. Apparently this is not against the rules to do this which does not make any sense because it technically is considered cheating. I know that there are a lot of forums regarding this issue and there has been nothing done to stop these individuals. However I strongly believe that the more we bring this topic up the better the devs will be about people who exploit emperorship.

Lock an account to one alliance per campaign.

If they help their friend get Emp, they won't be able to play with them.

Personally I think you should only be able to use the emperor title in which campigan you got it , makes me laugh seeing all these former emperors running round and I think to my self emperor of what I've never ever seen you on here before

Nothing new here...it's not the only way of exploit ...if you search emperor exploit , you'll find countless posts about it...it's a shame though...
I only ran for Emperor once and had to PVP straight for 3 days in row with almost no sleep...and that was it...

You'd be so surprised. I have been to pretty much every campaign and I have found that Thornblade and Azuras star AP gain is slow as hell so it is super easy to boost yourself in 1st place and stay in 1st place. Go to Haderus or Blackwater blade and the method I have just described is virtually impossible to due the fact that there are people like everywhere all over the map that can watch what you are doing very easily, or interfere by having zergs nearby that keep killing your AP gains when you are supposed to be the one killing them by yourself.

Now this is not to say that this method is not stale by any means in Haderus or Blackwater blade because as I just described they do it by disappearing throughout the day to "check on something".

What exactly would be the reason to suspend his or her account? Its not like any rules where broken or any bugs used to get ahead.

Because if you have a life it's hard to get emp when a jobless guy with no real life responsibilities is going for it too. You'd have to literally sacrifice annual leave if you wanted to do it legitimately

Because it is not considered fair play. If you go to any other MMO and you do anything that can be considered boosting yourself to be on 1st place in the leaderboards then I'm pretty sure you can get banned or whatever the punishment would be if someone were to report you. It's not fair to the people that legitimately try to play the game to be on the leaderboards when you have a certain players that always ensure that they stay in the top ten if not 1st place.

I used to take emperorship seriously in this game until I began to play PvP a lot and after a while I began to see that there is nothing special about it. I have seen people that are emperor with god-mode stats on their character and they can't even take on 2 people by themselves. These individuals are very bad at this game and all they did to get emperor was the "friends help friends" in a dead campaign.

Might not want to hear this, but complaining about it is wasting your time and breath because ZoS can't stop it. AP is so easy to exploit that it does not require specific maps, campiagns, or shenanigans with enemy alliance players to get.

Just for one example, For a long time on NA Trueflame, the guild leader of a DC raid would be "fed" defensive ticks at resources and keeps in that her raid would get off a resource and thus allow her to score a tick 30 times greater than it otherwise would have been.

Still no reason to ban. They are playing in the rules of the game. Just because its a crappy thing to do doesn't make it illegal.

Only way to really deal with them is to have folks shadow them and "steal" into their AP. Announce to your friends what they are doing and don't be shy about killing enemies and sticking around for the defensive ticks. If they are doing you'll be cutting their AP gain my 50%, in lairs you're reducing it 22%, etc. The more people, the higher the reduction.

People started the whole feeding AP to their "buddy" thing within a couple of months of game launch. Definitely not a new thing. Guilds would cycle emperorship between their members. This was probably done a lot more back when emperor buffs would stick with your character even after you weren't emperor anymore.

I would actually like to know going back to launch who were the actual emperors that worked on their own to attain the title.

I think I remember seeing your thread a few days ago about a certain sith lord, so I'll assume this is PS4 NA. The person you're referencing is simply a Bob the Builder RPer. Most people would be shocked at the amount of AP you can make if you do nothing but repair walls with a class that has access to major mending and 100 cp in blessed.

Lol you are right about Bob the Builder, the guy that builds walls for a living on PS4. That was me a few days ago. He plays in Haderus and I am more than well aware of what this guy does. (I am not naming any names so please do not report me).

Edit: I forgot to mention that he gets it all the time on his nightblade so nightblades do not have major mending. I asked this man personally how he gets his AP although I already know how he does it and he said that he does everything in the entire game to gain ap and he just is good about it because he does it in an order that you would not know unless you were him.
