Yeah I've since gotten one mask drop - ONLY one. I went ahead and bought the other mask figuring I could always sell to recoup if I happened to get another but yeah, sometimes I think the drops aren't 100% random and instead rely on someone being a godlike DPS that puts in the most damage, as my mask drop happened on my DPS while playing in a place that wasn't as crowded at the time from what I remember. :P Might be entirely coincidental though as my sample size is rather small, haven't been farming as diligently as some people here. ^-^;

Hundreds of skulls across many characters and many zones. 12 or more bloody maras (I've lost count) and zero mask. I think some people are just marked to receive zero, but it can be claimed RNGeezus.

I wasn't so worried the first few days because I thought I shouldn't be able to get everything in one day, even if I did nearly a hundred skulls that day. Now I think it is impossible for me to get one. I am close to having 4 toons that know all the crafting motifs and recipes even though I only have one dedicated crafter. Also RIP inventory space.

Over 400 plunder skulls - no masks. If this is how the events are going to run, I will pass on this crap.

I got 3 while doing dps, 1 while on my healer and then another 2 on my tank, so don't think it goes by the dps.

Those exist? Where did u get it?

They drop out of regular Plunder Skulls, however I think they are rarer than the mask runeboxes, but that's just my own opinion from what I've seen. So technically there's 26 items to collect, if you want the full motif book too.

I'm not sure If I'm really lucky or if everyone else is just really unlucky because I just started working towards getting all of the Witches Festival collectibles today and already have 2 masks, 9 recipes, 14 motif chapters (plus a bunch of copies) and I'm working towards finishing the plunder skulls achievement (currently in the 30s or 40s).

I'm actually really enjoying this event and I can't wait to see what the New Life festival entails.

I've gotten 4 masks in total, but all in the first week and a half of the festival. After that I only got motifs and g/b/p recipes. So it feels (at least for me) like ZOS adjusted the rng.

Well, at the end of the day I only got my masks by:

1) getting one from a generous Guild member (yay Old Timers Guild!) and

2) Winning one in a Guild-only event.

Sorry for everyone who got screwed; I would have been one of them. OTOH now I have to figure out what to do with my spare motif pages as there seems to be a glut of them...

Got the complete motif book yesterday. It's useless now since I found enough motifs to learn them on all my 8 characters. But I'll keep it and sell it to collectors later. I've already been offered 20K for it.

I've lost track of how many skulls I've gotten, but I estimate that, between my 3 accounts, it's around 600.

I've gotten around 10 golden recipes. I've taught the full Hollowjack motif to 14 characters and the full recipe set (minus the golden ones) to 20 characters. And I have at least a couple hundred extra recipes and chapters sitting around in bounced mails and mules.

And amidst all that bounty, I've gotten only 2 masks (one of each) this entire time--my two alt accounts are still maskless.
