Why would you change NORMAL dungeons?

    Normal mode should not be difficult for any mix of builds or characters IMO, especially early entry level dungeons.

    Would be interesting to hear from some regular veteran dungeon players if they are too effected. Im not playing veterans but went there to test the damage and felt they were somehow easier than i expected (soloed fungal grotto I for that bis mask)

    l2p. if people want to do group content they should have not-*** builds. that means item sets and a skill bar that makes any sense. the scaling is super freaking generous too for low-level characters.

    I have run more vet dungeons than I can count and today I was throttled more in normal than I had been in ANY vet in a while. I mean, I kid you not. I got a 28k hit from a freaking mob in Ruins of Mazz. My team and I were wiping in spindle II due to massive damage being taken from crappy mobs and it was taking forever to kill them. We usually roll through the easier vet dungeons. We have not done the vet ones because we are horrified at what might have changed there. My friend was having to do full armor repairs at about 1-2k after a NORMAL. This only happened to us when we were low level toons. Something here is very off.

    Nothing is off, business as usual for Z. Nobody tests anything there.

    @sadownik I'm at 580 something CP. @autumnsongbird I didn't mean to sound like an elitist. That was really a genuine offer to help or do stuff with you. Honestly, if the dungeons are bugged and more difficult than they should be, they need to be fixed. I'm not one of the super good players in the game. I'm terribad at pvp, and my pve dps is no astronomical number, but I can get things done. I'm not the kinda person that talks trash about other players, and I'll play with anyone regardless of their ability or gear or whatever. Like I said, if you guys want some help with stuff, I got your back. If not, whatever, you'll get there, most that want to usually do.

    yeah i'm leveling a stamplar now. he's lv11 with lvl 10 training gear. its still easy.

    And how many Champ Points do you have on your character?

    Yeah im seeing the same thing. Never had such a frustrating time doing normal dungeons. Im champion level 153 with the lowest gear at CP 130. Mostly 140 and 150 though. Got destroyed by mobs in most dungeons. Some are still ok to do for me but they are the earlier dungeons (spindleclutch 1 and banished cells 1 I tested and completed)

    Any II dungeons I get wrecked and I also tried the imperial dungeons as well. First boss of imperial sewers was doing 40k with his flurry and the other move he did so I got one shot if I failed to block at anytime.

    I dont think this is what normal is supposed to be.

    This is typical response here on forums for most problems raised by new players. These people, they have hard time to read or comprehend what is written, but they love to respond asap with L2P nonsense, they just love to hear themselves. Too bad you cant downvote here on forums.

    Am I glad that your QA-department is thoroughly testing everything you push unto the live server.

    If I compare your reasoning of the wrongly scaled damage with the 2.6.5 patch notes it's plain obvious that the increase of monster health did indeed scale their damage too - and you can't even admit that as the cause.

    Pretty sad showing towards a customer that came back not even 1 week ago and bought the gold edition.

    So how long am I unable to do dungeons on my low-level because you were unable to test your patches?

    Edit: not being able to finish a normal II dungeon now with low-levels which was possible before can't be called "unexpected spike in difficulty".
    Or did you mean unexpected as in you yourself didn't know what would happen if you tweaked the hp-numbers?

    When will the incremental patch be? I've been running a lot of normals both pre-160 cr and post. Lots of people have gotten frustrated. Many groups have disbanded, and I'm questioning my ability b/c the dungeons are so damn hard. xD

    Ack. I've given up on dungeons. In the vet versions the end boss is too hard for the average group, and in the normal version the mobs are. Either they're not able to complete it, or it's just extremely time-consuming. I don't feel like spending an hour in a NORMAL dungeon.

    I think this is one of those instances where the fix should not have been postponed to the "next incremental patch".

    BUT when he game become a little difficult , when people dead ... they questioning themselves , and Try hard , or trying to up their dps , change skill , for overcome this challenge and become better .

    If you consider there are about 6+ threads about the scaling issue and all there was from official side were 2 comments in 2 threads one could almost come to the conclusion that this scaling issue in dungeons is "no big deal".

    16 dungeons if I counted correctly without the DLC ones with their different versions of normal I, II and vet and it's "no big deal" if you can't finish them which you could before because ESO as an mmorpg doesn't need properly scaled dungeons anymore since 2.6.5.

    It's a bit hard to change skills or gear when you're leveling a new character and are missing whole skillines. I've banged my head yesterday for hours on darkshade 2 or CoA II (whom have bosses meant for level 50 characters, who already have all their skills).

    Currently normal dungeons in the LFG tool are way harder than the vet dungeons, due to the fact they can't really be done with characters who don't have all their skills.

    Normal dungeons are meant for leveling characters and not here to provide challenge for level 50s.

    In order to survive an online game must cater to the largest section of the player base. There is no alternative. Whether anyone likes it or not the bulk of eso population is and always has been solo players from the single player games, there are others to be sure, it would be a dull game world without the elite memo crowd and the pvp players but the casual solo players are the bulk, the weight and the core. They MUST get a game that appeals to them or the rest of the players will find them selves without a game world at all. I've watched so many mmo games that I've loved perish because they ignored this and only catered to the vocal few, I adore this world and if that means players seeking a challenge must stick to vet dungeons then so be it.
