It's one of the best damage sets for stamina classes available now. I have a complete set and it's boosted my dps by no small amount, my guildies are seeing the same results.

4k penetration is like 6% dmg increase...

Plus considering this is still a heavy armor meta.. why not.

What I like about it most is that you can run it with something like twice born star and have crit chance, crit damage and max pen all in one.

Im gonna use the spinner set on my sorc and i really like the double max mag for shields and the extra spell dmg for that extra burst.

Plus the fact it literally has no wasted stats is great.

Where is the set located? Would it be usefull on my DK Stam DD?

everyones going crazy about it. i think it will be essential in a group to break down the resistance- but after a certain amount i think the damage done will plateau - where i thin other sets will outperform it.
so i think solo- for example first 20 seconds it would outperform most sets- but after that- others would catch up and surpass. but in a group it would be essential .

How would this set be essential in a group? this set affects your penetration not the groups. In most end game raid groups bosses are at zero armor anyway because of sets like sunderflame, nightmothers and alkosh and a tank running an infused weapon with a crushing enchant which affect the whole group so this set would do nothing for your dps. TBS and say a set like Leviathan would get ten fold the results this set could however in a solo or pvp setting this set would be one of if not the best in slot.

You guys talking pvp or pve?

I'm sure some pve buffs out there know, but what is the resistance of boss monsters? Cause pretty sure with all the debuffs people run they'd be at 0 resistance already.

For pvp, if you have sharpened weapons and applying major fracture that's already just over 10k penetration (enough to completely negate light armour wearers and most for medium). Yes higher penetration is good against tanks, and even though there are more then there use to be, wasting penetration on light armour wearers (or on shield stackers, which a lot of heavy armour DK's do anyway) does not justify the lower weapon damage.

Personally I'm going to stick to my raw damage build, maybe use the 1pc physical penetration monster helm. This is a waste of a 5pc though unless you plan on only fighting tanks that don't use a damage shield.

It's a strong contender for BiS but for a group (most likely trials group) is well oiled and have boss penetration so deep that this set will be surpassed by sets in your toolkit.

Both would make you a bit more survivable and add some resources. Depends if you want to just go with DW or other melee setups like 1H&S and 2H.

VO gives a direct 5 % damage + all the other bonuses and in pve i think it will always outperform spriggan and tbs is a must have, which are the best combo.

It's a great substitute for VO though which is difficult to obtain for the majority of players.

I got a Sharpened Dagger and Sword yesterday, sold the Dagger for 100k and the Sword for 53k, those were the highest bids i got.

That can't be done, you can't use monster sets even if it's one piece because that way you can't have 2 sets 5 bonus.
