Can we get some kind of reward for dueling?

Just as an incentive. It doesn't have to be anything big. Maybe just a little AP since we are pvping after all?

    Why? It's just for practicing rotations, new builds, and e-peen. Rewards should only be available in actual PvP.

    You are probably right. There would likely be players losing on purpose so their friends could farm the rewards. I hadn't thought of that.

    The reward is victory. Since when did winning stop being its own reward? I'm gonna win so much that I get sick of winning, idk about the rest of you.

    Achievement is all, anything else will be exploited, no AP no exp, maybe a title down the road would be ok. Dueling is suppose to be to test your skill against others for bragging rights, inflate your epeen, or maybe for fun, guild event or testing build with friends. Watching a little dueling on pts is dying in 10 seconds or less fun.

    These are about the only thing they could add that if exploited would make no difference,

    1. Title
    2. New Color
    3. Maybe a Dueling Costume
    4. Achievements.

    People always ask for more, but IMO people should just be happy that ZOS is adding dueling. It is the first time they have acknowledged that solo/small-scale PvP even exists.

    How is a 1v1 not "actual pvp"?? Do you define pvp based on where it takes place?

    PvP means Player vs Player, therefore dueling is PvP but you're right about dueling being an epeen contest.

    As for the OP, victory is your reward.

    Something like RGB will probably pop up were you have a trusted third party hold bets till the end of a match.
    Nothing mechanically needs to be implemented, except Dual Wands. As we wouldn't want people to always bet against magic.

    They have exposed the dueling results/history to the API. You could legitimately create a dueling guild and then have your own rewards with your own leaderboards, quite easily.

    Tl;dr really weigh the fun you have in game vs the business practices you are supporting.

    nope, it would be for farming and abusing the system. dueling is not for rewards.

    by it's very nature you're only dueling for its own sake, encouraging people to spam duel invites to randomers in any way is bad

    Each player makes a bet, gets a 3rd guy, preferably trustable, to hold the gold and go at each other.. Winner takes all.. Now you have a reward.. If you want to spice it up, bet a Kuta
