Was a male, now a female and the difference is scary

Was about to type the same.
All my chars are female, and most of them are "pretty", but Ive never encountered any harassment because of that.

I think part of the reason its happening to me is that I like to RP a little. Not in a major sense but when im in a town I like to trot around on my camel and walk into craft zones etc, rather than sprint/jump everywhere. Sometimes I just stand and watch what's going on in a town square and that's when it happens. Not when im running around.

For sure… hence why I said I made her quite a looker (apart from a huge scar across her face as part of a back story). Just surprised at how readily the comments came. It kinda freaked me out a bit

I think I'll have to agree on this.
I once created a female character, a dunmer, just to see how she would look like outside the character creation screen.
Well, just as I stepped outside that bleakrock shack I had 3 persons staring at her.

I have to admit that I made her curves disturbingly perfect, but still, I was like "wtf get away"

it probably is mostly consoles as you're more likely to find a younger demographic of gamer than on PC.

or there was that one study a couple years back that proved a good chunk of male gamers liked to play female characters. so people are like: "oh, a female avatar.... probably a dude"

I have a friend, well a few friends, that are males in real life but play as females, I am however 100% female, and play female toons, some people walk up and tell me my toon is sexy and what not, but otherwise I ignore them. I do also wear the same outfit you do sometimes and do dark elf dance in it.

Also sometimes guys don't believe I am a woman, you get some men who think girls/women don't play video games, some of the best players i've seen are girls, tho I don't PVP so I wouldn't know the best players in that field, but not going to get into a war over genders, personally I don't care who you are, gender or not, but your actions determine everything to me.


Anyways, I haven't made a male toon as of yet, but I might one day because the new beards in the PTS, are hilarious and I want the kraken/Octopus like one.

They used to walk normally....until they took an arrow to the knee...

I've had one or two odd messages, never had trades though just because of my female character.
Recently since I updated my armour to something a little nicer I've had comments like "you look cool, have a nice day", which is something

One thing that is funny though, which this thread also kind of proves, is that because so many guys play female characters, most people assume that I am not a girl Never bother to correct anyone though, we are all just playing a game, doesn't matter what gender they think I am, I play mostly female characters, but I like to play my male argonian and orc too sometimes

Few guildies were very surprised when they learned that I'm a woman. Always very amusing to see their reactions.
I sometimes lead guildies in pvp and we use TS most of the time and apparently my voice isn't always very lady like so few group members have whispered or asked me if I'm a guy or a girl.

I'm a guy and I have a female character. I rarely use voice chat, but I have never had anyone say anything derogatory to me on Xbox NA. However I have a friend playing on PS4 and he gets it all the time. Perhaps its a PSN thing.

One thing that is attractive about ESO is the maturity level of the community in general. Of course there are a few lower lifeforms that show up once in a while giving people a hard time.

On another note, besides being a big cartoon, lack of maturity is the main reason why I don't play WoW. I rolled a female nightblade and got nasty things, cyber offers, etc literally every 5 minutes. I lasted 4 days of a 10 day free trial, then said, enough is enough.

You gotta make them more attractive.

Adjust a lot of facial sliders, avoid the Heroic side, be realistic with body size, give hair/eye color and style that matches the face or vice versa.

I love greek mythology so I recently created a female stamplar Athena that is really beautiful and...Well, some guy, everytime he sees me in Cyrodiil, whispers me "Hi lovely!" and follows me around for a few minutes. Really creepy stuff man

i am female and only play females, just because, well, this is me living the life adventuring my chars aren't pretty/sexy at all, small busts and the most revealing part of their outfits/armour is probably my khajiits feet!....but have been getting quite a few "flirty" emoticons, some trade invites and alot of random group requests. mostly in the lower lvl areas though(but secretly i wish i would get random invites at higher lvl...much more need the help there )
but i have to say i actually love it and almost always accept, unless i'm really on a serious solo mission!
i love all the random interactions and moments of the game, have never felt harassed, offended or inappropriately behaved towards, most of it is just plain funny....maybe i just haven't come across "the real pervert" or the reeeealy creepy players!?
if ever it should become "a problem"....you can always report it, it's not like you can physically be assaulted and i think people take it all too serious, you're just wasting time being offended by whatever and whats a few stares and comments anyway, i do it all the time(but mostly because i am really wondering what style and set you are wearing..because you look awesome!!!)
i look forward to many more weird events and all the randomness that comes with tamriel!

I'm a male that played only female characters in Eve Online for many years. The amount of free items people gave you for just having a female avatar was unreal. No communication, no "funny business" just simply having a female avatar.

Goes to show how strange, and lonely, some of the gaming community is.

i play chubby female characters, one skinny, and a tan male imperial named russet crowe. I'm a woman and russet crowe is by far the sexiest character i have. i never understood why guys would always roll females in video games and say "it's better than looking at a guy". i felt a little grossed out about that until I started running around with russet crowe and found that it was definitely more enjoyable to play when i was somewhat attracted to my character.
