No I am not a fan.

It's kinda weird and I'm literally trying to give it a full open chance.

The linking of items needs to work within an existing typed message.
Also there needs to be a lot of settings added such as moving the box and how fast or slow th box fades

I'd also like to add and exclude channels like trade, LFG and Zone


Not sure it's gonna be used much tho but due to the sound bugs ....smh and the grouping tools issues. Smh

It's a feature I wanted from the beginning. I came back to the game when they announced it and I'm glad it's finally here.

Voting no isnt accurate really, as I love that it's off by default. Zero value to me, and if it wasn't a toggle it would detract from my game for sure.

It's not going to get a lot of use as many assume.
There at some spots I'm sure that have more activity than others but it's really just a bunch of immature kids trolling so far and random linked items with no reference

Maybe next month but not right now

I may never EVER turn on area voice again.

Nice that I can have text as one channel and voice as something different.

Need to put the particulars in the tutorial area. Mention things like you can shorten /zone into just /z and /guild1 into /g1, and so on. Explain that if you have profanity filter on, it bleeps out both incoming and outgoing.

And apparently fix emote channel. /e switches to a purple channel, and anything typed in simply appears in a word bubble rather than is performed by the character.

for those who don't have played MMO's in the past the different channels and such is kinda strange. for me i like the text alot. came back to check the game out after bout 5 months not playing and i came back to see text FINNALLY implemented. it can still be improved by things like tabs but it's a start so im happy.

I had my PS in rest mode before I left for work this morning, even made sure I had enough disk space. Then returned to extreme disappointment when I learned it hadn't even started the DL. So here I am!!!

The real question is, why aren't those of us here that have the patch installed playing the damn game!!??

It's a love/hate thing.

Love that it exists.

Hate that it doesn't have its own /ignore feature, and the placement of it needs to be on the left. Also spammers can't be avoided if you block them via PSN/Xbox's own block system. You can still read their messages if they link items or do an text bubble emote.

Well, consoles I don't think allow them to add a seperation from a xbox/live sony account so those are the only accounts possibly allowed thus they programmed a merge allowing your microsoft/sony account to play the game. So they might not be able to add ignore feature/freinds list feature in game because of this. Because your really playing on a microsoft/sony account on consoles, unlike pc which has their own eso accounts.

Apparently Emote channel is used to indicate that you're Roleplaying.

thats only in the begiining.
But those items should also be linkable. imagine someone new is asking what you are wearing.
and you want to show them. share your build with your friends maybe.
and you can not even link the items. instead have to explain every set effect...just because your items are bound...

Finally i can explain mechanics to people in my group Who isnt in gamechat without sending a message.

Finally i can communicate with people on eso when i am in party chat.

Finally i can get a group fast for anything,Finally i can sell and trade stuff easy,Finally i can look for guilds and advertise guilds easy.

Thank you ZoS for Finally listening.
Now i only want Text chat default on and be able to customize it such as size of The chatbox and colors and i really hope ZoS turns it on by default since it adds so much to the game

No more listening to all the background noise in people's living rooms, yelling wives and children, mouth breathers, players having conversations with out-of-game people with microphone open, sounds of eating and drinking, door bells, lip smacking, impossible to understand accents, barking dogs, additional televisions in the same room as their console, conversations not relevant to the game, music, and feedback from poor quality microphones or tethered cell phones.
