It's a tad annoying to come across ancestor silk and it only has worms! It's annoying to find an unlocked chest with only a glyph in it. Please if you take the crafting material then also take the worms. If you open the chest then clear the chest. Be kind to the others out there farming.

    Do this with nodes etc since I subbed - the gorgeousness of the crafting bag makes me feel I should be kind & do my bit for the environment so clear up after others..... :p

    I used to hate finding worms and crawlers instead of plants. Then I started going for Master Angler....

    This is kinda annoying and trollish.. Saw a guy doing it in Hew's Bane today.. I noticed it since he got to the runestone first, knelt and went through the animation, ran off.. yet the stone was still there, so I tried it and got a single rune.. Ran after him for a few min and saw him doing it to all runestones and plants..

    Reason #321 why I can't be trusted with the power of a dev: I would write in a code that checks for activity like that and forces an unremovable title onto the character. "Selfish [French for Shower]" seems about right.

    Well, with the power of a dev, one could think of many fine punishments for players like that.. for example, to teach them a lesson real quick, if you leave something behind, you loose twice the material that you picked up

    Nodes should reset after a few if psrtially looted.

    Also, if a chest has a map, a plauer may not be able to take it at all bc maps arent carried in more than one each. So unless he pulls out, destroys the obe hr has, then empties it... yeah right. This hits treasure chests and troves. I just today hit a trove eith one map only. Worse yet, i couldnt take it. Had it on char and in bank.

    This needs to be std node behavior... if looted at all it will start the spawn clock.

    Disagree.. I can not see a situation where the player could not have emptied the container.. Yes we could use a system that makes it auto respawn with new loot, but it would not be needed it the players emptied it

    I actually did leave something in a container for the first time on Sunday. It was a map I already had in my inventory and my bank. So I dashed over to un-bury the treasure, then headed back to the original chest. It was gone, so someone else got it. But I tried to do right!

    I think that the these lootable and harvestable items should re-spawn after a certain time limit. The game needs to cope with people not being considerate of others and remedy the situation. I am not saying that it is the fault of ZOS, just that the game needs to be able to deal with it.

    Now that I have the craft bag I pick up everything - and I mean everything - I can from every chest, harvestable node, corpse, cupboard, wardrobe and desk I find. It no longer matters that I have 1200 crawlers, 700 guts, 500 insect parts and 600 worms, as they do not take up inventory space.

    Since obtaining the crafting bag, i auto-loot everything. Am guilty of leaving stuff behind when my inventory was full pre-bag.

    I think they should make it so if a player does that, they explode. You don't lose any mats, you just explode. You can use a soul gem to respawn right there. But every time you do it....splosion!

    Just so players nearby know you're a dooosh.

    I would rather just have the loot item choice removed. So it would become an all or nothing situation. With duplicate maps just have the map looted replace the one in bag.

    If they want to set an auto-reset, fine, or they could have each node be instanced so that players always get something. But players are free to take or leave what they like. Less than 5% of nodes/chests I loot have had something removed. The rest are all fine.

    Instanced nodes maybe with player housing at the houses depending on how that goes but otherwise not the best idea for an MMO. Makes it less interactive.

    Or like if they leave the worms and crawlers in the resource nod,there will be an animation where you see the crawler or worm wiggle away and the nod will vanish .

    agree with @disintegr8 that

    Some players take joy in griefing,aggraviting other players.And then point fingers and take joy in that the other player could be "butthurt" or whatever.
    So yea,they need to remedy this as it should stay fun for everyone
    If only people were more considerate of each other,but there is a lack of respect these days.

    Oh smack! I don't think it's a factor of being inconsiderate in any way intentionally. Sorry, I haven't really thought about that concept. It's a guy thing, I guess. Sometimes, some of us guys may need a little smack in the back of the head and wake up, Forrest. I leave stuff I don't want so not to clutter up my non-crafting bag area of the inventory, and I thought the chests and plants reset after a few. I come upon a lot of chests and whatnot all the time where others have taken and left stuff still there.. I'm pretty much like, whatever, and I go to the next ones. There are so many!

    i can assure you since i have crafting bags and am not bothered by full inv any more i do;) Before crafting bags i did it as much as possible as sometimes i would return to a spot for respawned nodes. It is better for oneself and for other players to clear the nodes

    If YOU don't take the worms, IT takes a lot longer to respawn.
    On the plus side, even alchemy reagents will eventually despawn if there's only worms/crawlers in there.

    BUT it takes a hella long time for that to happen, I clocked it at around 30 mins... tailor nodes were much faster, around 5 mins
    (btw; if you were an unfortunate soul near Sentinel who only got bugs from a node with a redhead standing there, my apologies & if it makes you feel any better you reset my experiment) ;)

    Whenever I see this, I loot it anyway just so the chest/node will respawn somewhere else. It'll stay that way until someone comes a long and loot whatever is left.

    I don't get why people don't take fishing bait, you can flip it for a profit. You can also de-con the glyphs for its parts too.

    I think it should just be all or nothing, as someone else suggested. Don't have room in your inventory for those worms? Then you leave the plant behind too. I've been in this situation with a treasure chest (since they have multiple items) and I just went into my inventory and used the "destroy" option on a couple of useless items to rectify it.

    I always take everything, but if there is a treasure map in a chest, I will usually leave it in case someone wants it. Not sure if that's annoying or not.
