Do you want to see Gear level increased to CP 180?

Another grind? With the cost of the current 160 crafter gear and the fact people have spent years acquiring it that would be a kick in the teeth.

Then there they also have to to raise the cap from 160 cp for mobs and leveling bolster system also.

Nope. There is the quest when freeing Abnur, that he has you make a flesh atronach. To which he states, "We'll make a necromancer out of you yet."

There is no way in bloody hell that I am going to refarm my vMA weapons, my SPC pieces, my divines monster sets, my robust Agility jewelry, my arcane Willpower jewelry, my Vicious Ophidian, etc. If they do that, a lot of endgame players will quit the game.

And people said the same when level and gear cap were increased from V10 to V12, later to V14, and then to V16. There were even a few people on the forums demanding refund of their gold mats, etc. :p

It's not particularly fun to obtain new gear when it happens, but I'm guessing both gear cap and level cap (spendable champion points) will continue to increase at roughly the same pace since launch (so far it has been a couple levels, or 20-30 CP every 9 months or so).

Increasing the gear cap is the way that new sets, dungeons, etc., get added to the game. I'd be extremely surprised if it ever stopped progressing. Fortunately, now the progression is account wide, so no need to grind your alts anymore.

The key difference is that the game has become much grindier since those days.

Crafting a VR14 piece costs a mere 4 extra mats compared to a VR10 piece, instead of an order of magnitude more like VR15->VR16.

Much of the old content dropped gear in fixed traits. Now they drop in a wide range of random traits.

And the vMA RNG grind. Look at all the threads QQing about farming vMA weapons and the people who have stopped playing out of anger over that. Imagine, then, forcing everyone to do that again. Hell no.

I pretty much agree with this statement. The game became very grindy after the devs discovered that getting gear was too easy and also realizing that people who got 1000+ CP early on could not be stopped! At the moment it is way too much of a grind.

I voted yes, I think MMOs only become better if you continue to progress. Weapons/armor should include this. The fact that stamina still forces people to use vMA weapons is laughable. The DLC is close to 18 months old. Can we not come up with something new for stamina DPS users? How long was TBS meta for magic users before the change to BSW?

I have no problem with level cap increase but it needs to be included with better equipment. It shouldn't be a level increase to force people to recraft or regrind their same gear. Part of a new expansion (chapter whatever) should be new gear.

I am sorry if that means your previous gear is no longer BiS. The game should evolve with both players and creators.
How is it evolving ? The devs will just give the same monsters more HP and damage, and you'll have to grind just to get back to the same relative place.

I said yes. IF they buff crafted sets to be BIS again.

Right now we have a treasure based economy where everyone is farming garbage to sell. Or farming points to open a random box with *** to sell.

We USED to have a crafting economy where people made things and sold them. People who couldn't make things worked hard to be able to do so. People who could make things put cool items on the market in different motifs.. I want that back. ZOS took it away.

ZOS broke the economy. Fix it FFS.

They don't need to raise the gear cap for that, just buff the existing sets and add new ones. Economy solved. And, all the whining about Sharpened and Divines would go away too.

Only if there is a way to upgrade the vMA weapons to cp 180. Armor set can be grinded is few runs, but bis trait weapons require 100+ runs of the samething. Don't have the enegy or time to farm those bis weapons all over again.

One Tamriel pretty much ended all concept or need for Vertical Progression in this game.

Far better now for them to balance the existing Horizontal Progression elements, such as they are, and add new ones.

I'd suggest a complete rework of Armour Sets - so that "set bonuses" apply just to the Armour.
Then add in Jewelry Crafting - and rework Weapon Bonuses so that they tie in with Jewelry sets to allow another "set bonus" in a more functional manner.
While doing that make it possible (though not necessarily easy) to have Crafted Gear fill BiS roles to make Crafting truly relevant again.
Add in a Transmog system so that we can - if we have the correct Passives and Craft Items - make any gear look however we want it to look.

Add in a 10th Constellation that only has Crafting Bonuses on it - so that we unlock the ability to Transmog and increase Set Bonuses to reach BiS levels, and maybe even add a 2nd Trait.

Make gearing from this point on a purely Horizontal Progression.

Yes, Vvardenfell will probably include whole new tier of mats, which would seem pointless without also increasing the gear cap.

But it is already on record that Morrowind will NOT increase the CP Gear Level.

In general, no. Because some of the gear I've farmed has taken me over 3-4 months to get and I do not want to go through that again and lose time on playing the new content. However, I might be open to it IF we also get a few tokens to convert some selected CP160 gear to CP180 (maybe 20 tokens, 50 in worst case?)

Personally I would vote No, cause increasing gear level would only increase grinding for no other purpose other than just grinding, all my characters will have to get new gear and would probably be too much time and effort for me and just quit.

I also want to know those who want to increase the gear level what is their point of view.

This is just a tag for the ZOS team in case they were thinking about it to see what the community thinks.

It's probably the one thing that would make me consider leaving the game. Too many sets now and I have spent too much time farming/crafting/etc.

I hoping that when this comes around we will have a transmog system not only for motifs but to upgrade our gear levels. This would be a nice system to keep gear in hard to get styles that you want to upgrade to your current level. Similar to my suggestions on motifs:

Upgrade via mats, learnable and base game. I could agree with this resetting it to white.

Upgrade via conversion (like preorders), buyable from the crown store.

    Yes!

Progression feels good, unless you wanna keep the same gear and weapon for the next 10 years. However, they need to either token the undaunted chest, token the VMA weapons and cut out a lot of useless gear grind for those pieces.

But yea, other MMO's you farm endgame gear, the next Xpac comes out and the random quest greens replace them. I would like to work for new gear. But the grind has to be reduced, majorly. Or there is going to be a lot of bad feedback.

I say no, because I think CP 180 is too low for the next tier. CP 1600 or CP 2000 though would be fine in my mind. This is gear that I imagine would be character bound.
