Alliance Mount (as per Alliances Symbol)

The idea is to have alliance mounts with alliance banners, mount should be similar as per alliance symbols. Would be awesome to use in Cyrodil or One Tamerial.

Not sure if ZOS can even make this possible. As this may include flying mount.

That long, rectangular piece of cloth hanging off the sides of that saddle could be used to display our alliance banner or guild banner. A similar piece can be applied to the saddles of any mount.

In the "Options" menu, under "Gameplay", an option can be placed right underneath "Hide Helmets".

It'd be called "Hide Mount Banners", with the options being:
• Yes
• Guild Banner
• Alliance Banner
• Both 1
• Both 2

If "Yes" is chosen, your mount will look exactly as it does on Live. No changes.

If "Guild Banner" or "Alliance Banner" is chosen, the appropriate Banner will display on the new pieces of cloth (or whatever looks nice) which is visible hanging from the sides of the mount saddle.

If "Both 1" is chosen, the Alliance Banner will place itself on the left side, and the Guild Banner on the right side. "Both 2" would simply swap sides.

The guild banner displayed would be determined by whatever guild tabard your character is currently wearing. If not wearing a guild tabard, the "guild banners" would display as empty white pieces of cloth.

Simple and very cool. Thoughts?

An eagle mount would be completely unfair, as would a dragon, whilst a Lion for DC...well we already have them. All mounts need to be ground based.

The last MMO I knew of that introduced "flying" mounts, made them more "hovering" mounts, as in they could not go more than 4 ft off the ground, and could only move the same as mounts on 4 legs. Balance is important.

However, I WOULD support the previous posters idea of putting Alliance motifs/regalia/armor on the current mounts.

Neither eagles nor dragons are feasible and dragons are lore-breaking too, so this option's out. I'd be in favor of alliance banners on existing mounts.

No flying mounts and especially no dragon mounts. EVER.

I wouldn't be against a lizard similar to wamasu (but maybe smaller and thinner) for EP if ZOS introduces it with some new lore regarding it, like they did with dire wolves.

Same for a flightless eagle gryphon for AD. There are lion mounts for DC but they could introduce one with a better looking mane.

There are other games out there that have flying mounts. One even lets you ride a dinosaur with lasers.

If you can't play without a "faction appropriate" mount, go DC and get the lion. Otherwise please stop with the totally lore breaking stuff.

And I can see the outrage if they provide caparisons for your mount in the crown store; OMG MONEY GRUBBING ZOS!!!!

Back when Dinosaurs roamed the earth, and mounts had a level cap, there was, in fact, a blanket your mount would get for hitting level 50. As far as I know, that's completely gone now, and there probably wasn't one designed for the Senche, Guar or other non-equine mounts.

At best there might be a flight path someday perhaps..

Maybe OP did take the proposal one step too far,but I'd love alliance specific mounts ,that make sense when you look at habitat/alliance.Just horses at the stable of any alliance is a bit monotonous

Keep it simple, add an extra horse to the stable for about 10k gold with banners and colors from your respective alliance, then if you'd like to have one, you can ride your alliance horse into battle, or just stick with your epicly awesome crown store mounts.

But not for eagle and dragon mounts. Flying mounts are never going to happen in this game. The game is not coded to support them, and we don't seamlessly go between zones like in WoW etc.

However, I would like to drape my horse in some finery to represent my alliance. That would be a lovely idea.

I think Faction Mounts are a beautiful Idea.

But the idea of Faction symbol Mounts (Dragon mounts by the EP) it is not. Dragons are not exist on the time in Teso, they are sleeping to Skyrim.

So i can imagine that it gives a "Horse Armor" with symbols of the factions but never Mounts of the symbol.

Dragon/eagle mounts wouldnt be lore friendly... As you might remember from Skyrim, you could only ride dragon if you bend its will with specific shout, and only temporary. There's also Odahviing, but its only possible to ride him once and its a part of the quest. And in general, dragon are sentient being so riding them is like riding an argonian or khajiit.
Also I dont remember tamed giant eagles in TES lore, and I think they've said they are not gonna introduce flying mounts.
But I would like some better looking horses (once I've posted some pictures and suggestions in alliance-styled gear.

As much as I would love a dragon mount ... flying mounts would introduce a host of issues in Cyrodiil.
