This is a necro. I've done quite a few dungeons since this was posted

I understand this; it's like meeting people for the first time. Going to a party with a friend where you don't know anyone but you're thinking everyone will be cool. When you get there, it's just not your type of crowd and maybe some people are rude and/or annoying. What do you do?
I would politely leave and make a note not to associate with these people again.
When I started running dungeons, I had some problems with people. I died once and no one in the group would rez me and then they kicked me with the fight was over. And I get it: I wasn't very good and maybe I was holding them back. Or maybe it made them feel good, you know, as players to kick someone (hey, look at me, I'm sooo good I kicked someone from my group). No problem, don't want to associate with them anyway.
For the first few dungeons I ran, I specifically told the group leader that I didn't have much experience. Sometimes they were running for speed and would decline my offer, usually politely. Most of the time, they were okay with it - and often would give me tips I found very useful in getting better.
Eventually I "got gud" enough that I understood mechanics and basic skill strategies. Of course, everyone has an opinion and some people are more aggressive and annoying about insisting their's is right. I've had more annoyances running dungeons in the last couple of months, not sure why. There seems to be a new class of player who insists upon showing how much they know about the game by criticizing others in the group (sometimes me, sometimes others, it doesn't matter ... it always annoys me ... it's a game, get over yourself).
Mostly though, I run with people I know who just want to have fun and do a nice run. We often stop and explain tactis and mechanics to newbies - even for ten minutes or more. We pause to answer questions and just be nice. We let people spend their out-of-game insecuries and rage on someone else.
I know it may not seem like there's not a lot of nice people in the game, but I promise you there is. Really. Sometimes you just have to find them.

I'm @HeroOfNone in game, an officer in Dungeon Dwellers, founded by @yodased. We run dungeons with all types, from min/maxers, pvp folks, casuals, etc. And run with one rule: Don't be a ****. When we run dungeons we understand most don't want to change their build to the current meta, to read through all the tutorials, and get yelled at for not doing 40k damage single target dps on theur very first run. We're here for fun and with working with others, not to push you into progression or meta. If you want help with builds or something we're open to ask however.
So if you're having issues with a dungeon run come and contact us in game and we'll see what we can do to help you. The worst thing that can happen is we wipe a bunch of times and we need to disband if we take too long. Sometimes things can be frustrating, but no need take it out or take abuse while you're playing a game for fun =3

@HeroOfNone
Are you PC/NA? If so I would love to join.
I hear so many "horror stories" about people being kicked, nasty players etc. Plus I don't know how well I'd do in any dungeon. I think I'm probably comparatively bad. But I'm missing out

We are. (Updated to correct that) catch us online and ask to run a dungeon and we'll talk about an invite. We like to run a dungeon or two first to evaluate a person's attitude, since there are a lot out there that will try to join just for handouts or to get access to a guild bank. You can click on the discord link or message us in game.

I disagree. Being a DPS in a dungeon is quite stressful considering the fact that when things don't go as plan, and when the boss don't die in a certain amount of time frame that you're easily to blame for being “too weak”. I've allowed these kind of players doubt my skill and strength up until now.
Some players can be quite nasty at times.
Yes, agree that some people in game can take it far too seriously. Was in a group of 4 and one person keep ranting all the way through. The other three of us became increasingly amused by how angry he was getting. He quit half way through. Probably to save his blood pressure
True, DPS isn't super easy, however, in my opinion, compared with Tanking and Healing there is far less pressure on your role. If you don't heal properly then the group can keep dying easily. If you don't tank properly then the group can die easily. However, for DPS as there are two of you it gives more room for you to learn what you are doing. There can be more scope of others to 'carry you' as you get the hang of things. In Vet mode (which I still have not done, despite owning the game since release on PC!!) everyone needs to be at the top of their game. In low level normal dungeons the need to do as much damage is much lower. It is good going in with a group when no one has done it before. You all get to learn together. If you die because you stand in the red too much then you should (one would hope) learn after a couple of deaths that standing in red is a bad thing to do.

I have a great group that I run with and part of it is because we have a superb healer. When you have a great healer, you don't worry as a DPS and you don't worry at all as a tank.
