I'm not saying bad traits should drop in trials (in fact I've said in this thread they shouldn't drop in ANY end-game content). My post was in reply to someone talking about "deserving" something, and who, by extension, didn't give a rat's behind if others get half decent gear. I want the game to be attractive not just for me, who can put in the hours and have the guildies and friends to do 12-man trials with, but also for other people who can't invest as much time in the game. I'd be much happier if I could trade my trial gear with a casual player as well as other trial runners. Real life is plenty elitist, I'd rather my games be more inclusive.
I guess you missed my point pretty hard then, too.
ZOS doesn't care if you get "good traits" or not, they only care if you play the game: for that reason the RNG will ALWAYS favour non-Divine traits. It's nothing to do with Training or anything else, they're just easiest to place blame on, just like before Training existed it was the hilariously bad Sturdy. If Training is removed it'll be Well-Fitted. You'll be complaining about bad traits years from now anyway, it's not got nothing to do with "people getting half decent gear", there'll ALWAYS be a worst trait and you'll always be complaining about it when it drops. And the traits right now are leagues above what they used to be.
All they want is you to play the game, if you have run something 1000 times to get a Divines set they're happy because you're playing and your play means more $ for them: for that reason whatever is considered the best trait at the time will always be skewed into having a lower droprate, and certain sets will always be BoP rather than BoE so people have to run and re-run content to get a set instead of just shopping on the guild traders for a few minutes and calling it a day. That's just how it works, and will continue to work for ESO's lifetime I'm sure. It sucks but you can either deal with it and move on, or hope against hope something will change: given Training/Prosperous was opposed as soon as it hit PTS "cause me no likely that, Divines only plz" and were still added (we're now months past that, mind you) I'm going to say the chance they're just going to gutted out of the game completely is a big fat zero.
Honestly there's nothing elitist about liking certain traits and wanting them to available at max level (IE anything CP160 that isn't Trials), I think it's pretty scummy people want to remove traits and tell other people how to play a video game just because they don't like the drop they got. If people really hate them so much, ask for buffs or even for the droprates to be made more equal (since they're reportedly not 1/8) instead of killing diversity in the misguided belief you'll suddenly get more Divines and Impen out of thin air.
Removing the bottom of a pile doesn't make it have no bottom, whatever was above it becomes the bottom.

The only update I want to hear is that they have come to their senses are are adding Impenetrable for ALL Endgame gear drops and removing Training/Prosperous for ALL endgame gear drops. Anything less than that is an incomplete job. They should add nirnhoned too. That gives you 7 traits that drop and two that dont. Plenty of variety but all are actually useful in some way.
Everybody wins this way.
- ZOS still gets plenty of different traits to dilute the loot tables with
- Every trait that drops is as least combat effective in some way.
- PvE'ers that do trials and get impen BOE gear can sell it for tons of gold.
- PvP'ers will be encouraged to run trials which means more people are playing the game.
ZOS, make it so.

Also why isn't Impenetrable in those tables?
We're working on some things for One Tamriel and Update 12 that will make Nirnhoned and Nirncrux more readily available than it is now. We'll share specifics after we put out the official Update 12 announcement.
We are not adding Impenetrable to the Trait loot tables at this time. We don't want to make our PVP community feel forced to run Trials – our most difficult PVE content – in order to remain competitive in Cyrodiil and Imperial City.

- Add Impenetrable as a valid Trait for all item sets in the game, regardless of where they drop
- Add Impenetrable as a valid Trait for all item sets in the game, except those that drop in Trials
- Remove Prosperous and Training as valid Traits from Trial item sets
@ZOS_GinaBruno can we discuss getting training and Prosperous being removed from Dungeons drops the majority of posters in this thread and in game don't want them can we have them removed from their as well.Plus ads impen to the BOE gear in trials but not the BOP.
I just want amperplasm in ImpenRefuse2GrowUp wrote: »@ZOS_GinaBruno can we discuss getting training and Prosperous being removed from Dungeons drops the majority of posters in this thread and in game don't want them can we have them removed from their as well.Plus ads impen to the BOE gear in trials but not the BOP.
BoP will still be tradable with group members via the in-group trading mechanism so it shouldn't hinder set farming, especially if they remove training and prosperous from the loot cycle. And with sets like VO being BoP (and whatever is in the SotH DLC) I would imagine that is part of the impen drive for PvPers.
I know some many players on Xbox who just refused to do Dungeons now other than to help friends and guild mates its no point now.At least before you were able to get useful gear now their not point because not only do you not get useful gear the gear you do get is worthless,or crafted gear is better because the trait sucks.Refuse2GrowUp wrote: »@ZOS_GinaBruno can we discuss getting training and Prosperous being removed from Dungeons drops the majority of posters in this thread and in game don't want them can we have them removed from their as well.Plus ads impen to the BOE gear in trials but not the BOP.

1) Training and Prosperous NEVER should have been included in the loot cycle for end-game sets...especially trials and MSA sets!! Get rid of them, and whomever's idea it was to add them to the loot cycles.
2) IF removing Training and Prosperous from the loot cycles, then go ahead and add Impen. Even hardcore PvEers would accept one trait they could care less about if getting rid of two others. Seems a fair trade; and certainly benefits those who both PvE and PvP (and since in-group trading is now a thing, it is easier to help each other get the desired traits).
NOTE: YOUR THIRD OPTION ONLY MENTIONS REMOVING TRAINING AND PROSPEROUS FROM TRIALS. I CERTAINLY HOPE YOU MEANT TO SAY BOTH MAELSTROM ARENA AND TRIALS (WITH DSA BEING INCLUDED AS A TRIAL).
