I don't want classes so things get easier. I just want more than 4 classes and 12 class skill lines interchangeable. No matter how deep the 4 are, it is mind-numbing re-rolling repeating the same story.xskinzcity wrote: »Why are people so lazy. This game is just getting dumbed down to casual status. Leveling a character is extremely easy now so these threads are just mind boggling.

1. Classes are tied tightly to their skill lines. A class change would reset those skills and probably refund the skill points spent on them... but it can never make up for the lost experience points. Your class skill lines would all basically be reset to level 1, which means you'd be very weak and vulnerable during the time when you're leveling those skill lines. Unless you rely on weapons skills, this will be a huge drawback that makes class changes extremely complicated to balance.
3. You have eight character slots by default. You should be able to make a character from each class... twice. If you want to play a different class, why not just roll a new character of that class? Yes, you have to level them, but see point one... you have to level the class skills anyway, and it is probably more feasible to level class skills with the character.
So yeah, I can see why class changes aren't really something the devs are considering right now.

while I am personally very fine with my class (stam DK), I believe there are people, who aren`t and would want to change it to some other class. I am going to change my stam dk altmer (oops, but she was so pretty), to redguard, because of stam racial passives of course. but she is still going to be hot and harder hitting, August August where are thou
!!!
People talk about 'how easy it is to level a skill/skill line' but they DO NOT know what it's like to level a skill line when you're facing CP160 enemies and the only class skills you have are fresh single-digit skills. Even when One Tamriel comes out, people will be battle-leveled based upon CP... which means exactly what I said, facing CP160 enemies with ZERO leveled class skills. Now the ONLY saving grace would be if you've leveled your weapon, because those will remain leveled... so you'd basically be 100% dependent upon your weapon skills while only having a couple of class skills on your bar to level them through enemy kill XP.
While I'm not saying it would be impossible, but it would be very time consuming, and for those who already have poor combat skills, they would be on the forums crying that a class reset should come with maxed skill lines.

People will always want what they don't have. In all seriousness, if this was included, this thread would be about something else that should be added

Excuse me OP but source please?
You do not speak for most of this community...
Class change is better than faction change. Because for faction, we have to grind and get those titles "Grand overlord",again. Also, it will be toxic gameplay, if everyone could switch factions on the fly.

No, seriously... I can't believe someone actually asked for that. We already got race change, wich is a total absurdity. Ideas like that are on the same level of ridiculous as the nerf requests that are already killing the game ("ye but iz two hard lel")

It may only take 2 days if someone has the tenacity, time, and will to do so. It can take someone like me about 5 days or 10 levels a day before I'm tired from grinding so much. I wanna do other stuff or have to do other stuff. And let's not forget if you put a lot of work into a character, i.e. horse training, crafting, guild lines, achievements, etc., and you aren't happy with the class you chose after awhile, you should have the choice to change it. Not a cheap choice, tho. I'd say class change tokens should cost more than race change ones.
