This is still true, as before. Edrald's Undercroft is still accessible, but the book is not in its location after the quest.

Anyone knows where I can get "A Plea for the Elder Scrolls" if I'm on EP faction?

It belongs to Eidetic Memory, category Notes and Memos.

there are 3 "a plea for the elder scroll" one for each faction at one of their temples and you need to collect each

I believe Note to Vanus from the Ritual And Revelations category isn't released yet as it was Datamined that there would be a prequel quest for the next chapter 'Summerset Isles', like how there was one for CWC. In the datamine it states that Oracle Marieve leaves a note for Vanus Galerion, aka 'Note to Vanus'.

The Pact book is not there. I went to the corresponding temple and the book is nowhere to be found. Is it still bugged for EP?

If I remember correctly they are placed on bookstand piedestals and sometimes bug so that they are in the ground instead - untargetable.

The way I solved this was just to place myself where they should be and then relog. When I logged on they would be in the correct place - on the piedestal and readable.

I found it on the eastern coast of northern Glenumbra at Trapjaw's Cove, at sw edge of boss location by big boulder,
about 20 steps southwest of blue/black cracked glowy eggs which are next to "An Egg-citing Discovery!" lorebook.

Hi im almost done with Eidetic Memory and the only books im missing are mostly in shelves @ IC sooo damn rng...but there are 3 on the land I cant seem to get to them:
Personal Journals:
-Gamwyn's Journal
-Irgnar's Journal
Rituals and Revelations:
-Note to Vanus

the character was made since early access, so its obvious that I finished all quests a long time ago.

The two journals (Gamwyn's and Irgnar's) are part of a quest in the Rift. (Lost Companions, it starts on the tower just NW of the Blessed Crucible icon)

I haven't seen a post-quest location but double check that you have done the quest.

I think "Note to Vanus" has been added in the new Update. Never seen it before in the library.
Did anyone found it?

Last book that i´m missing is Orders to Halskar, which is bugged i think...

I picked it up just last week....took me 5 tries...book was below surface. finally got it by riding horse full speed into temple right next to it and was able to grab it before conflict started. My brother had to do it the exact same way but he is EP so he had no conflict. for whatever reason, riding the horse into temple seems to work.

anyone know where exactly I can find "information request from emeric" and "update instructions from dartene"? both say Southern High rock gate but I'm AD looking for alternate locations. Been all over southern gate and no luck. Northern gate maybe?

spent an 90 minutes searching every inch of the northern gate and didn't find anything.

Same problem here for me as an EP. Could find all the alternative positions from AD but none for DC

"Magister Otheri's Research Journal " was available for me today
Although I finished the quest long time ago.
Just entered the town hall in Sadrith Mora and then entered the room to the right, the "Council Hall".
To the right I found a book called just "Research Journal".

Good luck to all of you who still miss this book.

These are the final five I'm missing. I've double checked yesterday, and they are still unobtainable to me. Any confirmation/workaround/tips would be appreciated. If they truly are not obtainable, we should work on ZOS to make them change these to readable with a future patch.



"Letter to Egranor" is supposed to be found at this location in Auridon, most likely associated with the quest on that location. However, after the quest is done, the note is no longer found anywhere.



"Pierced Note" is supposed to be found in the Redoran house on this location in Balmora, which is associated with a quest. However, after the quest is done, the house is locked off and the note not available.



"Eyes of the Queen Only" is supposed to be found in Stormhold, Shadowfen. Most likely associated with the quest in that city. However, after the quest is done, the note is no longer available, and the dungeon under the city associated with the quest is locked off.



"Experiment Journal" is supposed to be found in the Vile Manse public dungeon. Most likely associated with the quest in that dungeon. However, once again, after the quest, the journal vanishes.



"King Joile's Orders to General Mercedene" is supposed to be found in Honor's Rest in Orsinium, associated with the "Ashes of our Fathers" quest, where you get drawn into the past. Once finished with the quest, you can no longer access the place in the past with the note.

I have tried using the Lorebooks addon to find Quartermaster's note in Sanctum Ophidia and searched the internet but still cannot locate this in Craglorn does anyone have a location or information on it?

Pierced Note

The book are in the house, but can I go into the house, after the Patch, too.?

no you are not able to enter the house of the redoran guild.
you will need some with the quest active. just ask someone who leaves the building to invite you.
I have done it today an got the book.....finally ))

I did that but could not find Pierced Note inside Redoran Kinhouse on any of the 3 floors.
Maybe I read it during the quest "Family Reunion" but the game didn't register it as read in my Lorebook list?

Pierced Note is supposed to be inside Captain Brivan's Apartment (third floor) at the top of the stairs.

Update:
Today I tried it again, got group invite, entered Redoran Kinhouse, no Pierced Note. Then I left the group while on the third floor in Captain Brivan's Apartment, logged out of the game back to the main start screen, re-started the game. I was still on the third floor in the apartment but no Pierced Note anywhere inside Redoran Kinhouse on any floor.

Snowmead's Missive
I completed the quest "Labor Dispute" which requires reading Snowmead's Missive to start the quest but my Lorebook list shows it as not found or read.

I can't find it at the spot where the quest began, which is by getting it from a dead body. Youtube walkthroughs show that location. It's not in Lost Knife Cave, or with Eitaki Snowmead post-quest.

just tried the pierced note work around by grouping with someone doing the quest...I got into the building just fine but the book was not there....my buddy could see it but I could not.

Regarding Pierced Note...it is fixed. I was grouped with a random in zone and i got on my character and i helped my friend to get it by starting the quest with one of my alts(was in the phase where you need the note for the quest so maybe ask your friend to advance till that point).the page its on a wall near the stairs in the apartment above(not on the first 2 levels) so u need to go first floor exit on the terrace thing and go up one more level enter and should be in front on the wall. I'm on PC-EU.

and @Carbonised for Letter to Egranor its underground u need to access the ruin on the north side(u can enter even u finished quest-that's how i got it ). the Eyes of the queen only its in fighters guild hall(underground sort of as well) on a table it was fixed. and for Pierced note do the grouping with a friend or random who is around the place and u see getting in and out of the house.

As for pierced note, I wouldn't say it's exactly fixed. Having to rely on someone to have the quest active so you can use their quest to obtain the note is more of a workaround than a fix. ZOs should make the note available without having to rely on another person.

That leaves Experiment journal in the Vile Manse and the King Joile's Orders in Wrothgar still on my list.

Update instructions from Dortene(both are in DC side)- i have EP friends who have them but they never set foot in there because u simply cant access enemy base- so maybe they will be moved like the AD ones and the EP near the gates or exactly on the gates
Note to Vanus ( which will pop probably in next patch)
The Year 2920, Vol.27 which i still search daily for in IC

I'm curious has anyone completed the lore books ?:D

For pierced note: I tried that, walked him through the quest step by step and was standing next to him when he found it. Must be a fix with the update...XB1 so maybe I can get it next week
