How do you kill this stinking Primate Artorius!?!?

I have the same problem. He is almost dead and I am at full health and stamina. I get frozen and can't break free, even though I was able to break free many time earlier in the fight. My 21K+ health just melts away on consecrated ground. This has happened about 5 time now.

OK, I figured it out. When he get low in health, but before he can cast the unbreakable freeze, I switched from bow to dual wield and came in with my execute. That brought his health down too fast for him to cast that nasty time freeze.

Go up and stand close to him in the alcove he is stand in and you take like 0 dmg from him and when you get snare use both mouse button to get free it is easy i did that after i dead 1 time and work fine for me.

I loved this fight. I did the mission on a Stamplar and it was a lot of fun. His slow time ability was unexpected and really cool. I loved it.

Well he was easy, but I kinda used pets, it kept him distracted I think doing several break frees will do the trick, you will be free but no one else would be free. So bascially you are able to fight it off.

He's easy after you relearn how to do Break Free correctly. Right-click, then fast left click, then scoot out of the red. Until you get that down well you don't have much chance.

Yeah, this fight was fun. The time stop spell caught me by surprise the first attempt, and naturally I ended up dead due to it happening just as I was about to dodge out of the nasty glow... but as the saying goes, respawn and learn, the second attempt I was ready and paid more attention, killing him after a nice fight.

Did anyone think the DLC bosses ought to be too easy???

Have to say I don't remember this being a difficult fight, not sure if there is a bug from what you describe or if they have up'd the difficulty, think I need to reroll a toon to give it a go, as it would be nice to have a challenge.

This boss was the no brainer easy mode!
I played with my weakest character and knocked him out in my first try

I killed him alone as a tank. problem? (tho. took like 5 min to kill him with nonsense tank dps)

Finished him quite easily on the 3rd attempt (2 deaths) with my lvl 16 (375) stamblade, wearing lvl 8 gear. Just take the time to see what he actually does.

The advice that really helped me is breaking out of his time freeze. That is the only 'time' you can land successful attacks. Break out as soon as he freezes you by tapping right then left (top buttons on ps4). It took me several attempts and even then the final successful fight lasted nearly half and hour. Slow but steady. Definitely the best fight I've had so far x

Remember to right click then left click to break free when he freezes you. It DOES work.

Just wanted to promote this last sentence: apparently I have been *** and was trying to middle-click to block/break, and it failed repeatedly, letting this guy just wipe the floor with me time and again. Then tried blocking with a properly controlled "right-click-then-left-click" sequence - and was not stunned again. Whipped straight through it on the very next try without an issue. I felt dumb for not knowing how to break properly all this time, but learned something new after all!

Kited him with bow, breaking line of site with the columns in the room and staying out of red.
Finally finished him off with my werewolf.

I died twice thinking that my screen had frozen at first (happens to me at times in Cyrodiil when there are too many players aroun, since I have a rather slow connection - everyone on screen freezes but me for about 30 seconds before I get kicked). I found the trick is to literally beat him with his own weapons - when he has his shield up doing nothing but regenerating, don't fight and waste any stamina or magicka either, just wait and ensure you get your stamina fully regenerated in the meantime to be able to break free as soon as he casts his time freeze spell. As soon as you've broken free, it's just a normal one-on-one fight. Repeat until you have worn him down enough to finish him off. Took me less than 3 minutes after I'd figured it out.

i beat him when i was db lvl 8 or so, and i reached 10 last night but there was no prompt for another mission.

This one ran around the room screaming like a little kitten and throwing vases and books at him until he got fed up of the mess and looked down to pick up some things.

Then this made sure he got more closely acquainted with one of his fancy candlesticks ...

Damn I stomped that guy! Just got to avoid his ambush teleport attack after you fight his minions. He comes in at a weird time while your preoccupied with them.

Things froze? He had minions?

I leapt on him and stayed in his face, circling around him at your-dentist-working-on-you distance, just working through the skills and abilities. Channel focus, structure entropy, charge, stabbity stabbity spears, light or heavy attack with the poisoned dual wield sharpened swords, repeat, radiant when below 50, more stabbity stabbity if radiant isn't doing it quickly enough and I need health.

I may have separated once or twice, just dodge-rolling backwards so I could give him another skewering with the toppling charge. But otherwise, eyes on the target and maintain attack.

Think this thread has run it's course. Even though I had no issues with him before, it appears they have nerfed the fight severely as it is way easier to kill him than it was when this thread was created.

Uh people probably already said this but if you do too much DPS he'll bug and never spawn.

When he does his AOE attack you bash attack him to stop.

All I can conclude from this thread is:

• players got stuck on a certain boss fight that had a mechanic involved
• after looking for advice on the forum or in guilds, they beat the boss and have learned about an important basic mechanic in the game - breaking free
• even if the fight was really hard, the experience of learning something new and overcoming a seemingly impossible obstacle made almost every player say that this was one of the best fights they had
• ZOS becomes aware of such an abomination and immediately go like: "We'll be having none of that!"
• now players be like: "WHAT mechanic?"

Seriously ZOS... teach your players how to use the mechanics the game provides.
